Smells Be Gone
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Oh my goodness a beautiful coat of this under the paint and it weird smell that’s been going on in my sons room for years is gone. The smell was there when we bought the place and now it’s actually gone! I also put it on the c the floor before we leave the carpet. I feel secure that it will go on for years of beautiful smells, even in a boy room.

This is the best primer to use to cover stains. Recently had a basement fixed for leaks and wanted to cover up the water stains. Two coats later and most of the stains are gone. What a difference!

Wish I would have looked at the reviews better
Most of the reviews for this are “paid” so of course they would recommend it. I didn’t notice that until AFTER I bought this primer unfortunately. I put 3 coats on my wall, and it’s not covering at all. I’m still going to have to do 2-3 paints of my paint so I’m not sure what the point of this primer was? Unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend this, unless you want to do 5-6 coats while painting, but I’m not sure who would want to do that.

Typically, the primer only requires one coat, and it is not designed to cover completely, but it is sealing the surface. This primer did the impossible!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought a house with the worst interior paint job ever! Most of the walls were dark purple, and all kinds of crazy graffiti "art". We thought it would take 10 coats to fix, but it only took one good coat and one light coat of Kilz primer to do the job! Very, very impressed with this product!!!

Kilz Covers anything!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used Kilz many times! My painter taught me to tint Kilz with my Sherwin Williams Botticelli red, as my first coat, to make rich colors look better. The last two projects; one was old paneling, i had Kilz primer tinted your Ranch House Tan, LOVE how it turned out, next project old floral wallpaper!😂 Kilz to the rescue again, covered up the busy dark wallpaper print perfectly!

Saved our ceilings

Pipes froze and we had a mess to clean up. We painted Kilz on everything, Ceilings and walls. We even painted over really old wallpaper. The Kilz was a great base before we added color!

These walls were NASTY. Now they're white.

Great stain blocker

Paneling & smoker coverage
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased a 600sq. ft. home built in 1899. The previous owners covered the plaster/lath walls with dark paneling. Also, in evidence of the ‘was’ white ceilings, they were heavy smokers. I purchased 3 gallon cans of your KILZ to cover not only the dark paneling, but also the orangish brown ceilings. It was great coverage, and then I painted the kitchen, dining room & livingroom white, over the KILZ. The bedroom were painted a light color.

Great for priming old dark paneling!

There was a converted garage room that was covered by dark wood paneling on three of the walls. We wanted it to be bright white. Used this to prime before painting. What a fabulous transformation! Great product!

Covers up printed walls!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought a double wide mobile home and the walls had prints on them. This is not wallpaper but is actually printed panels. I decided to get the Kilz, and had it lightly tinted. It covered nicely and I didn't have to use more paint than necessary. Also covered up anything else that might have been on the walls. Would highly recommend this product to everyone!

Amazing coverage

The home was built in the 1800s and there was wood planking on the wall and we were afraid the orange tint would show through but kilz did a very good job of covering and sealing the aged wood.

Great for covering smells

Smelly stains? No problem

Love the coverage and ability to mix colors.

I use it not only to paint over my previous years work with great civerage but I mix it with acrylic paints for details etc and it works awesome. I would definitely recommend Kilz 2!

Refurbished furniture
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this early last year, and primed many pieces of solid wood furniture. I refurbish furniture for my friends & family, as a hobby and I usually always prime first. It goes on great, stays on and brushes and rolls on smoth.

Covers great and seals everything really good
