Excellent nice cover and protective coat

I used it on a cedar picket as primer to paint a sunflower with acrylic paints. Turned out great. Now just to find a clear coat to protect it from moisture and the sun's UV rays.

Needed a bit of pigment so I could tell where I had painted. I like the original Kilz better. I wished I had not purchased the Klear!

Dull..bad coverage..not happy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My home was built in 1971 when wallpaper was king. Nearly every wall was covered with wallpaper adhered directly to the drywall paper. This not only made it very hard to get the wallpaper off, it also allowed the drywall paper to age. The result was huge patches of drywall that would endlessly flake away like birch bark. I tried many products, but the ONLY product that permeated the paper, adhered it down firmly, and then prevented it from bubbling back up when skimming and painted was Kilz Klear. Other products allowed joint compound and paint to rewet the paper and start a new layer of paper peeling.

Functioned well as a sealer/primer and a stain blocker.

Easy to apply, smooth coverage, sealed all seams

Scrapped off popcorn texture off of a concrete substrate. The concrete had chalked a bit so I used this to bind and seal the surface before painting. Worked like a charm. Also, dries very fast.

Good product, don't know why it has gone up 20%, perhaps water is going up in price. It's only a latex resin in water.

When we opened the can for use, it was as like water. We were very disappointed, especially for the price we paid for it.

I use it to prime over wall paper and topped the joints with sheatrock compound Then textured It came out vey good The texture drys very quickly where it’s is topped but it your quick it come out nice when it’s done with knock down

I used the Kilz Klear sealer to seal a particle board floor in my RV. I was laying down vinyl floor planks and didn't want the floor to tear apart. I put down two coats before laying the tile. I had all of my windows open and the odor wasn't overwhelming to me. It dried clear with barely a noticeable difference between the unsealed and the sealed area. Sweeping my hand over the floor I could feel the surface was slightly smoother. Clean up of my brush and hands was simple soap and water.I was very happy with the results and was able to lay the tile within a couple of hours of sealing the floor. The best part was that the product didn't leave any kind of smell inside after it dried. My floor area was about 100 square feet and I used most of the gallon with two thin coats. I'm very satisfied with the product and I appreciate the recommendation I received from the Home Depot representative!

Easy application, dried clear but applied milky to avoid application gaps. Substituted for Never Peal (not available). Much less expensive. Hoping for same durability.

Nice product. The best thing is that there is no pigment in it so it is a super easy clean up. Dries fast, less than an hour and goes on smooth. I plan to buy more.

Worked real good went on great

I needed to seal up some drywall after wall paper was removed and the surface paper of the drywall was removed with the wall paper. The Kilz did what it claimed. I applied one coat, and within a couple of hours, was able to start the drywall repair without the brown paper layer bubbling up because of the moisture in the joint compound. I would recommend this product.
