Best purchase of a kitchen sink ever !!

This is a Cast Iron sink and is very heavy , will last you for many years . Looks great and is a shiny black . Pic on the internet looks kind of matte , but it's not . I also like how deep the basins are 9.6 !! Regular sinks are 6 .

Bought this JEWEL after 24 years of a shallow stainless steel sink. Lord, what was I waiting on!? Although it's heavy, it is worth its weight in gold. It's quiet, and deeper, which is wonderful, because my even wife (standing in at 5'2") can reach into and clean a deep 8 quart pot while it's sitting in the bottom of the sink with no problem at all. With the drains in the back, it's like having two more large areas of counter to work on, in the sink. A 3 quart sauce pan, three glass mugs, and two coffee cups together sit virtually flat, and still leave the drain uncovered. Pictures to follow.
The only thing I can say to warn you about, is to take your time moving glass in this sink. If you drop a glass into the bottom from too high, the glass will break, not the sink. STILL worth its weight. Oh, and did I mention this thing is just beautiful?
Durable, beautiful, reliable... if it were a woman, I'd marry it.

Other than the weight of the sink when we carried it into the house, we are extremely pleased with our new Kohler sink. It coordinates with other appliances and the color scheme in our kitchen.

if you're looking for a sink that stains & scratches easily then this is the sink for you. I love the way it looks shiny, deep, large but along with the other problems it does not drain well, if it didn't weight a ton I would return it ASAP. I have to baby this sink to keep it looking good sink rack, daily polishing etc....
p.s. I'm still remodeling the kitchen so we haven't even really used it daily.

This sink is rugged, but beautiful. It drains well, the bowls are deep enough for all but our largest pans and the style is exactly what we wanted in our kitchen. It is very heavy to handle during installation.

We love this sink so much we had to buy it as soon as we moved into our new house! We spent 3 days with the stainless sink we had in our new house and said, NOPE, and immediately went to buy this sink and install it! It's durable and looks great!
scratches are a problem

I love everything about this sink except for the scratches. Installed it Tuesday, used it for the first time Wednesday and it's already scratched. The thing I loved the most is the shiny finish but it now has multiple scratches in both sides after washing the first load of dishes. We cut the new countertop to fit the sink so I am not sure if it can be replaced. It is also extremely heavy and difficult to install so I'm probably going to spend a lot of time babying this sink. I'm very disappointed.

Karen, my name is Sarah with Kohler Co. I am sorry to hear you are not happy with the scratches on your Cast Iron sink. I would like to take time to explain this material. Cast Iron scratches are caused by metal objects striking the enameled surface. Most commonly, these are marks from aluminum pots and pans that look like scratches. However, they do not penetrate the enameled surface and can be cleaned.
To remove pot marks, you can make a paste using Baking soda and water. Apply to the affected areas and scrub using a cork. Using a cork allows you to apply more pressure than possible using a cloth or sponge. Let stand 10 minutes and rinse thoroughly. Kohler Cast Iron Cleaner and Barkeeper's Friend can also be used.
