A compact handle that assists in your safety entering into or coming out of the bath or wherever you may need it. Very easy to install. However if you are drilling into tile make sure you have the correct drill bit. The handle is stylish and accents the bathroom. Easy to clean and is very functional we use it every day now. It's durable and made with quality material.

I got the 16 inch bar for the open shower area, just in case a handle is needed and the 9 inch bar to mount near the soaking tub to give a handle for getting out of the tub. I've never gotten a product from this company that didn't meet my expectations. They have lovely current designs to uplift any decor. These bars are heavy, strong, functional and beautiful. The directions are clear and easy to read with supporting pictures that are clear and well drawn. The shipping containers allowed them to arrive in pristine condition. I'm very pleased

This review is for the KOHLER Carmichael 16 in. Grab Bar in Vibrant Brushed Nickel. I’ve always had equilibrium issues, so grab bars are a must (actually, as I get older, I probably should put them everywhere). The package was damaged when it arrived but without defects to the integrity of the bar or the finish. I can’t say I’ve ever been dissatisfied with a Kohler product. It’s a good size and we needed one just a bit longer than the 12 in. bar that we already had on our tub wall. Installation was not difficult but, because this bar is longer and the screw pattern is different, we did have to replace two tiles (fortunately we have spare tiles). As recommended, if you plan to use this bar to support your weight getting out of the tub, at least one side should be anchored into a stud.

This Kohler Carmichael 16” Vibrant Brushed Nickel Grab Bar is being used in a new remodeled shower. We chose this item because it matches all the brushed nickel fixtures we have in this bathroom. This grab bar is constructed of premium metal for durability and reliability. The nickel finish resists corrosion and tarnishing. It will support up to 500 pounds and comes with a limited lifetime warranty.

This is my second Kohler grab bar. It is in a beautiful polished chrome finish and very strong in the thickness of metal in the bar. I threw box away before I saw the tested weight but am sure it is over 300 lbs from looking at it. I had a 16" at outside edge of tub & needed one to help to pull me up at the back side. Since studs were 12" apart I put it at an angle & hit both studs except for one screw which I used a molly on. It came with a heavy paper template to place the holds so since I was going between 2 studs it really helped me locate them, drill the holes in the exact spot. It comes with 4 screws for each end & allen key to tighten bar in place. It matched my other one well. Great safety feature in the bath. It is more than strong enough to help me pull up if I fell. Great product.

This grab bar features a more classical look in polished chrome. It feels strong and sturdy in the hand. The material quality is excellent as one would expect from a Kholer product. The package includes everything needed for the installation: a concise but helpful manual, screws and a template to help with drilling holes. This grab bar would be a great addition to a bathroom featuring a classic or rustic design.

This review is for the Kohler Rubicon model of grab bar. They had accidentally sent me the wrong bar I assume, but I can make it work. The polished chrome is great for many bathrooms, but the one I was sent was a brushed nickel, which is also a popular choice. This bar installs the same at the other and they both utilize a bracket design that mounts to the wall. It is sturdy!

I think that the polished chrome look is a timeless classic and it will never completely go out of style, where as many other finishes come and go. I think this Kohler Carmichael grab bar will stand the test of time. It installs much like most all other brands with brackets that hang on the wall, ideally to a stud. The bar came with all the hardware generally needed. I like that it is functional, but also attractive and doesn't look like a public restroom industrial grab bar.

Kohler Carmichael 24 in. Grab Bar in Vibrant Brushed Nickel is attractive and functional. They install quite easily. Measure your area, then using the template included with directions and tools, screws and alan wrench also provided. The screws are attached under the decorative escutcheon plate, making a nice finished installation without the screws showing. We installed two, one horizontal in the tub area back wall to assist with getting up in the tub or preventing a fall. The other 9 inch bar vertically to assist with getting in and out of the tub safely. The 24 inch bar supports up to 500 pounds!! They are functional, attractive, and look like they will serve their purpose for many years. Once again, Kohler impresses.

This reveiw is 5 stars for the Kohler Carmichael 9 Inch grab bar made of polished chrome. The instruction was quite straight forward using the 2 inch steel screws provided. I used a small drill bit to start a pilot hole with the templet provided to prevent damaging the wall as well as using a caulk to seal and secure the screw in the hole and reduce the posiblity of water getting in via the holes.The holders for the grab bar are 9 inches on center which makes it easire to install. The screws are enginerred quite well as they are all uniform with no defects. You use the hex head tool provided to secure the grab bar on the holder from the bottom. This was used in a low profile shower as a grab bar for standing. This is my second one, but the other is used in a tub for entry and exit since it is so deep.

Nice solid grab bar and easy to install. Comes with a template to set the screws but I would recommend taking an actual product measurement. The length was about 1/8th of an inch off between the template and the bar. It looks good and we are placing it on the way into the tub for some extra support. Everything you need is in the box and it only took about 30 minutes for the full install.

I am very impressed withthis KOHLER CARMICHAEL Grab bar for the safety of people inside the house, especially in the bathroom. The product is very well made and believe it is corrosion free since Kohler said so. It is very sturdy and has an amazingly 500 lbs rating. The best part I like is the installation; it is so easy to do it thanks to the included Cardboard Template, which is the engineering drawing, and that was very helpful to make the necessary holes on the wall at the exact place. It is a foolproof piece of art and much needed help for the easy and perfect installation. With that piece of cardboard template, anybody can install this grab bar very easily without any hesitation and skepticism. This is a great product. Thanks, Kohler for the great product.

Easy to install,works great!

A relative installed this into a metal stud just outside the shower door. It matches all the other chrome in the bathroom. It makes stepping out of the shower so much safer. All showers should have one of these.

We bought two of these and they seem to be fairly secure. When one set was mounted using the provided screws (drilling using the correct bit) one set seemed to just rotate so I used another set of screws and it seems to be fairly secure. The finish is nice and it blends in with the existing bathroom fixtures that we have.

Perfect size and design when a full size grab bar is not needed.

These look elegant in it are extremely sturdy. I love them.

These bath rails are nice and they do not look like a regular handicap rail; however, make sure you place them so they do not look like a towel rack inside your shower because once you drill a hole, it is there to stay!
