This sink is good quality and being cast iron, it is heavy. The installation went well, just remember that this sink may be deeper than your old sink so the pipes have to be adjusted. We also removed the old garbage disposal so additional plumbing was needed as we did not replace the disposal. We love the new sink and highly recommend it.

Do Not Buy
This is not the first white sink purchased from Home Depot. The Deerfield drop in sink is a nice, large size, but we have never experienced such "scuff" marks from pots and pans on any other white sink. After normal washing of pans or any dish, gray marks are present all over the bottom of the sink. Never had this issue before with any other white sink. Thank goodness for BarKeepers Friend cleanser. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!

Hi NM12, this is Sarah with Kohler Co. I'm very sorry to hear you are having trouble removing these marks on your cast iron Deerfield kitchen sink. Pot marks are caused by metal objects (most commonly aluminum cookware) striking the enameled surface and are not a manufacturing defect. Pots, pans, and utensils may leave the metal marks on sink surfaces because the thick layer of fire-polished enameled is harder than cookware. The pot marks look like scratches, but they do not penetrate the enameled surface. To clean, apply a small amount of Kohler Cast Iron Cleaner (https://bit.ly/39HWAvV) to the marks. I love it, it is beautiful and easy to maintain. I had a vinyl one and hated it. I am old fashioned and like quality over junk. My new sink is beautiful!!!!

Weathertight employee showed up at time given, removed old sink and faucet, installed new sink and faucet in unbelievable time. Plus cleaned and took away old parts. Very happy.

Love the big deep sinks oh, but the fact that the edges rise above the countertop is a huge problem. If you spill something on the counter, the old think you could grab a towel and just quickly rush it all into the sink without saturating other things on the counter. If the edges of the sink had been level with the countertop, this would have been an absolutely wonderful sink. We will learn to live with this, but was not expecting other days of frustration during those moments when spills happen on the countertop

This sink is amazing. It looks great, easy to install, drops into the standard double sink opening. Extra surprise bonus, the inside is deeper and wider than most sinks, making it easier to wash large pans. Also the overhang is thinner for easy counter-to-sink cleanup.

good quality sink
I bought one ,got it home and it had fisher cracks that you couldn't see in the store. we took it back (they are very heavy )and ordered another one . It came and it was a box packed in a box lined with foam insulation. and it was perfect. I can't wait to put it in my new kitchen! I would recomend this to anyone. good quality.

Disappointed with rusting at edges
Bought this sink in 2009 when we had new quartz countertop installed. Make sure that the structure of your cabinet can support the weight. It was a beautiful sink for the first 8 or 9 years, then rust started showing up around the edges. We don't cook a lot, so we aren't using the kitchen that much, and we have a dishwasher, so we're not using the sink for washing dishes. Will have to replace it and keep fingers crossed that cutout in countertop will accept new sink.
