The diverter valve is a little sloppy and is not 100% on lower pressure. My biggest issue was the condition of the copper supply pipe. Mine had corrosion at the point where the O-ring is to create a seal. I did a lot of buffing to smooth and clean it before a decent seal was.acheived.

Easy to handle our tub fix!
We were able to do a pretty simple replacement for our spout diverter
Easy to order and switch the spout
Solved our standing water in the tub during showers. Wish we had done it sooner— easy and we shouldn’t have drug our feet.

Cheap quality that won't last
Despite being fairly new, the diverter valve never worked completely. It only diverted about 2/3 of the water coming through the spout. Total piece of junk. I ordered a new one of these, hoping that the poor quality was just due to a faulty spout. I have heard that Kohler quality has gone downhill in recent years, and that has been my experience as well.
It was installed correctly and all of my plumbing is copper....

simple installation, good quality
I was replacing a threaded bath spout with this slip-fit connected spout and was a bit skeptical. after cutting the threaded part of the old water supply the installation was simple and secure. The new spout works as advertised.

Disappointed
I am disappointed with the sporadic performance as well as the lack of installation instructions The diverter works about 50% of the time, requiring repeated valve pulls.
Installed by a licensed plumber, so it isn't the installation that's the issue..

So easy to install by myself! I did watch a YouTube video to get an idea if what I was getting myself into if I did it myself (I'm a grandma). You need a small amount of plumbers putty for the inside. I also used Flex Shot to seal the outer edges. So proud of myself.

This was the first time I was trying a slip-fit diverter connection. The Kohler instructions were spot on and installation was a breeze. I've upgraded all my bath fixtures to Kohler over the years and have no reason to complain about their build and finish quality.
