Please follow your product’s warranty guidelines for proper care and cleaning, found on us.kohler.com, as it ensures safe cleaning. Our Kohler Cleaner is recommended because it is not only safe, but also proven effective. Here is a link to the cleaner: https://bit.ly/3h7piZL. If you choose to use another cleaner, we are unsure of the effectiveness. We recommend testing other cleaning products in a small, inconspicuous area first. To prevent water stains/spots, we suggest wiping your product dry after use. When water evaporates on the finish, it is then prone to develop water spots if there is salt from a water softener or hard water present. Hi SME, this is Sarah with Kohler Co. I'm sorry to hear your Katun bath and shower faucet is leaking. This is nothing you should expect when choosing a quality Kohler product. We suggest removing the bath spout and allowing the water to come out of the pipe into your bath, to test the flow. Does the water still transfer up to the showerhead? If so, this may be an issue with the type of piping going down to the bath spout. It should be copper from the valve down to the bath spout. Any other material can cause a back flow. If the water comes out of the pipe fine, then the spout itself would be causing the interference.
