Beautiful door but small opening
The door is aesthetically beautiful. I did the brushed bronze because it was the closest match to my gold plumbing fixtures. However, read the dimensions. After installation, the glass door opening from tub to top rail is 58". A tall person would have to duck under the top rail to get into the shower each time. I'm 5' 4" so it's ok for myself. I feel like I just make it. It's a little disappointing that it's not made higher. Seems like a huge oversight for Kohler. However, the quality of the product is nice. It's been installed so I'll have to make the best of it. You can see in my picture where the bar is in relation to the shower head. The images Kohler shows has the shower head well below the bar height. Giving the illusion that the shower door has more height to it. Here, you can see it's clearly above. And my plumbing fixtures are all standard measurements for a 9 foot ceiling.

First let me say we LOVE this door. For my particular situation the door proved difficult to install. This is because one of the side rails needed to mount over an inside shower porcelain towel holder/bar. So, I needed to first remove the towel holder by breaking it out of the tiles. Then I had to replace the affected tiles which is always challenging to do without damaging adjacent tiles. In the end I had to replace 10 tiles (about 5 on each side of the side wall where the porcelain holders previously existed). Of course, I didn't have any leftover blue tiles (the tub/shower wall is a checkerboard pattern) so I had to special order them from the manufacturer. After applying the red guard, replacing the tiles, applying the grout, and sealing the grout, I was finally ready to install the actual shower door. This turned out to be the easy part of the whole project. I highly recommend a quality carbide drill bit set if you are installing this door into ceramic tiles. I used this one and it performed perfectly: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Bosch-Carbide-Tipped-Drill-Bit-Set-for-Drilling-Natural-Stone-Granite-Slate-Ceramic-and-Glass-Tiles-NS2000/301427910 You will be drilling about 10 holes into the tile wall. Make sure you have quality silicone to seal the door once you install it. A hacksaw is also a must to shorten the top and bottom rails to the proper length. You should have someone assist you when it comes time for mounting the doors themselves as they are each very heavy. We were surprised as how thick and high quality the glass is on these doors. The doors slide almost silently and very smoothly back and forth. There are rubber bumpers on each door side so that you do not damage the doors or the walls if you open them too quickly. The only negative thing I have to saw about this product has to do with the shrink wrapping they use for the parts. The shrink wrapping adheres/bonds to some of the smaller parts, like the rail caps and the roller caps and is impossible to remove. It took longer to try to remove with a variety of methods this plastic wrap from these chrome pieces than to install the doors themselves. Kohler really needs to rethink this aspect. Someone in their QA department needs to try to take that shrink wrap plastic off all those parts included in the package and see how difficult and annoying it truly is.

I found this to be a very high quality and well built shower door. Operation is smooth when installed properly. Note that this style is not your typical type of door. The main track on top sits in the middle of the doors, with one sliding on the inside, and one sliding on the outside. Because of this, you must have 2" of flat surface on the edge of your tub! Also note that the inside door will be sliding right next to the inside cove on your tub, which limits your elbow room while taking a shower. If you have a large enough tub like I did, this is not an issue, but I thought it should be considered. Installation is no joke with this door! Do not fool yourself and think you can do it alone - get help as each door is made of 3/8" glass and weighs approximately 75 lbs! This actually helps the door to feel more stable after being installed, but doing the installation is a two person job. The only other gripe I had was the shrink wrap on the hardware - it was wrapped so tight that the plastic did not want to come off the parts. I spent an extra half an hour unwrapping everything! Still, I like the way the hardware was labeled as it made installation very straight forward and simple.

My one complaint is that the door handles are attached with 3M tape. I feel that these will probably come loose over time with people yanking on it especially with all the moisture. Other than that, I was pleased with the quality of the doors. It is definitely worth the extra money to get these thicker sized doors. (These are 3/8 inch) I believe that a thicker glass functions better with the semi-frameless design so that the doors roll easier. The thicker glass is also stronger and better looking and provides a more upscale look. The panels are very heavy though, but extremely solid. We joked that if we dropped this thick glass, we figured it would break our floors before the panel itself would break. The doors both slide back and forth all the way. They slide very smoothly and very quiet. Most of the parts were metal. The outside of the rollers were plastic, but the internal portion of the rollers were made of metal. It was also a simple DIY install. It only took 2 people under 3 hours. If you have a strong drill, someone strong enough to lift a very heavy glass panel, and something to cut metal, you can do this.

This tub door kit looks amazing and can be installed by a DIYer. I'm in the middle of restoring a small bathroom and wanted to add a tub door to make it feel larger and a little more high-end. This set accomplished both and I couldn't be happier! I was able to install the doors myself and even though the process was a little lengthy the instructions that were included were thorough and very easy to follow. From the time I opened the box every step was documented with words and pictures and made the whole process very straightforward. The included hardware looks great and everything from the handles, to the nice thick glass, to the beefy rollers feel sturdy and look perfect. My wife and I both love the look of this tub door and couldn't be happier!

Not as shown
Two issues, the online pictures show the unit with towel bars but that is not what I received. Does not appear to be an issue with Home Depot as Kohler's website shows the door with towel bars but the door I received had handles instead. The other thing that was disappointing was the trim pieces which do not match very well. Some have a slight gold hue while others are more silvery. Would have expected a matched set for the price. Had the contractor working on the bathroom do the install, took him about a half day to put up. You have been warned

Refused it. Broken package. Should not have been even brought to me. Do not buy this product from HD. They are not able to handle this type of product. Go to a professional. Money well spent.

I cannot attest to install as my contractor did that but I heard no complaints. It is a great looking, functional bypass door so you can access either side. Very happy with this door at a great value.

It's not obvious from these pictures that the bottom of the glass panels have a very obvious chrome addition with a crappy looking silicon sealing. This does not look like the minimum glass design that it's being purported as. The spacing at the rollers and the spacing at the bottom guide are different making the overall effect really sloppy looking. I'd replace it, except that I've already drilled ten holes into my porcelain tile work.
