This is a great medicine cabinet. The shelves are staggered so I can put taller items in the cabinet instead of having them on the sink. There is also a mirror on the inside of the door.

Clean simple lines of this frameless mirrored cabinet and slender profile makes a statement without shouting 'look at me." It claims to have a working depth similar to most cabinets but its shelves are 3" deep while all the other cabinets in my household have shelves 3 1/2" deep but not a deal breaker especially with the very useful staggered design. The description mentions a kit for side panel colors which is simply reversible side panels which can be slid out and put back in displaying either a white or grey surface... not mentioned is that these side panels can also be painted to coordinate with the room scheme which is what I did by spray painting them "oil rubbed bronze" to match the general theme of the guest bath I installed the unit in. The mounting template included is simply a full size sheet with suggested areas for the mounting screws but with no actual holes in it or either the cabinet itself... you be the judge how useful this might be. My suggestion is to drill holes in the four corners of the back of the cabinet where appropriate to mate up with either wall studs or where to install wall anchors. Hold cabinet up in the exact area to wish to hang it (if you have no helper you might consider removing the cabinet door which is almost half the weight of the unit) and then mark with a pencil only one of the top holes. Install a wall anchor if need be and then secure the cabinet to the wall with just one screw. Using a level to adjust the unit as necessary and then mark the other three hole positions on the wall for wall anchors if needed or to simply drill some small pilot holes for the last three screws. You got this.

The Medicine cabinet was very easy to install, it was up in a matter of minutes. I like the fact that there is no frame for a larger mirror imagine. It had mirrors on both side (inside and outside) so 2 people can use (i.e. put on make up) in a large bathroom. The inside space has multiple sizes for a lot of space to store medicine and many other supplies. It is beautiful and a asset to any bathroom.

The Kohler frameless aluminum surface mount medicine cabinet is a high quality product that is worth every penny. The housing is made from rust proof aluminum and the fixed shelves are sturdy plastic. The cabinet was very easy to hang. Simply level and tape the paper template to the wall in the desired location. Mark the wall through the template for the mounting screws, then attach the template to the back of the cabinet and mark and drill for the screws. Then simply line up the holes in the cabinet with the holes in the wall and fasten with the provided screws. There are even rubber caps to conceal the screw heads. The side panels are reversible. Simply pull off the end cap at the top or bottom of the cabinet and slide the panel out. It comes from the factory with the white side out but you can flip it to the grey side to match your decor. The shelves are fixed and I found that some items were just a bit too tall to fit in the narrow area so I had to waste some space in the taller areas to make everything fit. Adjustable shelves would be a great bonus to this cabinet. The sleek look of the frameless design looks great but the edges of the mirror pick up fingerprints like crazy.

It is a simple clean medicine cabinet. It is pretty basic. The mirror is a good size. There is also a full size mirror on the inside of the cabinet which was a plus. I liked that the divider does not run all the way across so you are able to fit different size bottles in there. It was pretty simple to install with two people. It opens and closes easy.

The KOHLER Maxstow 20 in. x 24 in. Frameless Surface-Mount Aluminum Medicine Cabinet is a hit in our household. We have family getting ready to move in with us before too long. So this medicine cabinet will come in handy to accommodate the extra people in our home. Now that I have installed this one, my wife now wants another one to put beside this one turned the other way so when you open both mirrors they will face each other.

The Kohler 20" x 24" x 3.5" surface mount medicine cabinet of Plastic and rustproof aluminum arrived on October 18th 2019. The package was delivered in a good fashion, with only a small dent in the cardboard box. With very good interior packing there was no damage to the medicine cabinet itself. There was a lot of tape on the box, as if it may have been opened previously for inspection or some such. Upon opening the box, first look shows the installation screws and cover caps taped to the Styrofoam packing. The cabinet was very well packed on the interior of the box. Upon removing the medicine cabinet, the full size mirror was covered in protective clear film. With opening the mirror door the interior of the mirror door is a mirror surface as well - covered in protective film. Interior shelves are screwed into place from the rear of the cabinet and non-adjustable. The mirror door has plastic support pieces on the two outer edges [there are none, however, on the top or the bottom.] In reviewing the instructions it looked like the installation would take about 15 to 20 minutes. Decide to get right to it. My wife felt best location was in the main bathroom on the wall adjacent to the full mirror in this bathroom. There was a template included to facilitate installation. There were instructions to tape to the wall and drill holes... We decide to tape to the rear of the cabinet. Then drill holes and then transfer the template to the wall. 6 of one - half dozen of the other.... Leveling the template and taping to the wall, we drilled the holes for the wall anchors. We used screw in type wall anchors rather than the recommended butterfly type. I prefer these to other types of anchors and they will hold up to 75 lbs, more than adequate. I held the cabinet in place while my wife used a battery screwdriver to install the screws... One is cautioned not to over tighten the screws - so as to not damage the plastic rear of the cabinet. When the unit installation is furnished, cover film is removed and unit is reviewed. It has a good amount of space inside, with areas for taller items to be placed. The shelves are non-adjustable [as they are screwed in from the rear.] The lack of plastic reinforcement strips along the left and right sides of the cabinet doors presents a little concern... We are older so we do not have children in the house on any regular basis. However if the door is closed with vigor... it could put excessive force upon the middle of the mirror door, perhaps initiating a crack or breaking the mirror itself. On the positive side - with the placement we chose - when the door is opened, one can see the back of one’s head and upper body. My wife especially liked this as she could see to adjust her hair on the rear of her head or place a hair clip, etc... My wife had input in the aftermath as well. She felt the packaging was more than adequate, installation was easy. She would like adjustable shelves. The depth allows for 2.5” items, slightly less than a standard in the wall medicine cabinet.
