Unfortunately there were parts missing for attaching the back tank...
Unfortunately there were parts missing for attaching the back tank to toilet bowl. I called Kohler and they sent the wrong part. I had to call Kohler again and ask for the correct part. It finally came 10 days later. The toilet works great.

Overall it’s a great toilet. The only thing I’m a little concerned about is that the drain is made of what appears to be a hard plastic. That’s why I gave it 4 stars. In the old days I believe it was metal and then PVC. Hopefully it will last for years.

The Kohler Valiant toilet was easy to install, fit perfectly in our 1980's vintage main bathroom, and works very well. I don't feel comfortable submitting a photo of our new toilet in action; a photo would not be appropriate. We special-ordered the biscuit color to match existing sink and tile colors. Home Depot only has white toilets in their local stores.

We hired our plumber to install the toilet. He couldn't find any installation instructions in the box. (This is a smooth-sided toilet and the installation is different then traditional toilets.) I managed to pull the instructions up on my laptop for him. He then said we were missing the gasket and 3 nuts to attach the tank to the base. Luckily, he was able to supply us with the missing parts. We like the Kohler product itself, but it fell short on the ease of installation.

The Kohler video was helpful. However, after putting the toilet onto the flange device, I had difficulty aligning one of the side holes with the securing mechanism inside. I eventually forced it and was able to secure the toilet. Looks great

Completely satisfied with the Kohler Valiant toilet. Love the sleek design. Very easy to install. Have used it for a week now and cannot say enough as to how pleased I am with it. Satisfied enough to buy two more for my remaining two bathrooms
Per a previous review, a statement was made about the water connection to the toilet requiring a special fitting. That review is in error. The BrassCraft connector, part number B1-16DLF, sold at Home Depot, works just fine. I speak from experience. That is what I used to connect my Valiant and its a perfect fit and seal with no leaks.

The adapter kit included is only necessary if you need to change the rough in. This toilet can be installed in a standard 12" rough in with no modifications. Very disappointed in the kholer product, the product came incomplete had to go to Home Depot twice to get the missing parts now the toilet is finally installed the side caps on the bowl did not come in the box
