Not sure that this is what you want but it definitely affects my satisfaction with the product. It is supposed to be good for ten years but the unit was 27 months old when I opened the package. Date of manufacture should be visible from the outside. Sv

Hello. The unit is good for 10 years from first use and warrantied for 10 years from the date of receipt, not the date of manufacturing. Keep a digital copy of the receipt and/or staple a copy of the receipt to the owner's manual. If there is ever a warranty issue, we can honor the warranty from the date of receipt.

I decided to get one for my house because every once in a while a run a generator. The generator is outside but I don’t want to take any chances as it sits very close to the house. I bought this for the name brand reliability it is quick and easy to install with drywall anchors. I place it near my smoke detector as Carbon Monoxide is lighter than air.

I put the batteries in and tried the test button and nothing happened.Then the unit began beeping intermittently and would not stop.I returned the unit to the store.I would rate this 0 stars.

This sounds like the unit was in fault mode due to one of the diagnostics being tripped. We would have been happy to stand behind the alarm.

Rated five star only because I haven't been alerted by it sensing any carbon monoxide in the interior of my house. If I die or am seriously injured by the device's failure to notify of CO in the air, I would then change my rating...but, so far so good!

I came to buy CO detectors for all my bedrooms. Happened to find a 6 pack of battery operated, 10 year life, CO detectors on the clearance shelf for. Super buy 6 for $30.

replaced a7 year old Kidde carbon monoxide detector unit with a internal non-replaceable battery. the unit kept beeping to dispose unit.. this unit has a replaceable battery compartment maybe can get 10 years of use....
