My last set of Kidde carbon monoxide detectors lasted ten years and two months. I tested them regularly. I have faith theses will work right and last like they say. Price was right.

"Old" unit started beeping so I changed the battery but the beeping continued. Looked at paperwork and discovered that there was an expiration date that had passed. Bought the new unit and problem solved. Marked the expiration date on new unit so when I change the batteries I'll be reminded.

Easy to mount and test. I purchased 2 for both levels of my home. I trust Kidde brand, and these are very affordable too!

Love the 10 year battery, installed in minutes.

If it works in a fire it will be 100% great. I hope we will never know. As for installation, the unit was really tough to mount over the provided screws when the batteries were installed. I would buy the non replaceable battery version to avoid the issue.
