I love this toaster. The size and design are perfect for my kitchen. Works well also. I would recommend this toaster.

It has a great look! perfect for handling large slices of homemade bread, good for bagel slices (if you turn them in the right direction :) ) It does not over-heat. One negative thing is that it is extremely slow. If you want really crisp brown toasts you might have to make two runs. Oh well, I am a patient man :)

It's a toaster. It toasts bread and stuff. When you put the bread into it and push the lever down it makes toast. We really like KitchenAid products, which is why we got this one. The only improvements I'd suggest are an auditory signal when the toasting cycle is done and making the "high-lift" lever actually able to lift the toast above the top of the toasting slot.

I bought this unit to replace a 20 yr. old 2 slice model from KitchenAid that looked and functioned beautifully. Unfortunately, this one does not come close to meeting my expectations. In short, poorly designed for function - inadequate wattage / coils to toast in a reasonable time, function buttons unclear and difficult to see or clear if a mistake is made, inner toast support that will flex/bind if a thin slice is attempted, and a raised metal entry/exit surround that will burn you when attempting to remove anything other than large standard bread slices. Was this thing designed on a computer without any practical testing? Attractive on counter which gets it two stars, otherwise disappointing.

We looked up online this new one and loved it. Our new toaster getting used 3 to 5 times a day. WE LOVE IT. My 3 kids find this so easy to use. Eggos anyone!

It's a beautiful "machine" and looks great on my counter top, but it does not toast the bread as evenly as my last toaster.

A long slot toaster should be able to evenly toast a long slice of bread. Even at the highest setting, only the ends of my sourdough bread get properly toasted. Even then, it takes so long that the bread is dry. Not recommended.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I’ve only been using this toaster for about 1 month. So far so good. I love the wide slot that allows us to toast long bread slices. The bagel option is a real bonus. Problem: you need a magnifying glass to be able to make sense of the options menu...it’s very difficult to read: lots of guessing and finger crossing required to make toast.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this a few weeks ago as one I turned in for a problem with failure to toast evenly, and only toasted on darkest setting. This toaster has a similar problem. To get any color on what you are roasting requires using the darkest setting, or toasting twice. I’m switching to Dual-Lit or All Clad toaster.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Even at the darkest setting, it will not toast sourdough bread, it has to be put through twice. which makes the toast hard, and takes forever. My husband wants to return it.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I am so happy with this toaster. The bagel setting toasts my morning bagel perfectly. The defrost setting toasts my husband’s waffles without scorching. It is also great for oversized artisan bread slices.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a couple of weeks ago to toast my gluten free bread. We use both white and whole grain breads of various sizes. After experimenting with the three types we like, we found that the regular shape loafs worked the best, which were the ones we toasted every time because they are ugly un toasted. The type we ate without toasting in the past also toasted up nicely. That loaf is longer and not as wide so we have to push the lever up a little to get the slice out. But the GF dark is really good toasted and fits this toaster much better than my old one.
