[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the multi-function of the Kitchen Aid Multi-Cooker. It is a good size for a small family. It goes from searing to braising to slow cooking easily. Love one pot cooking and the easy clean-up!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Loved the idea but it came with no information or recipes on what to do with it...registered it and was promised an e recipe book and nothing came.. So it's bit and miss considering all my other kitchen aid devices and I have pretty much all of them they all came with recipe books and ideas who to best use them this gadget had nothing so very disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've bought this combo because I've accumulated a number of vegetable recipes that basically went along the line "Sautee for X minutes stirring frequently", so I decided to automate the process. While this device has a number of hiccups, it does the job, which can't be said about any other device on the market. I already have a KitchenAid dicing food processor, so in most cases the whole preparation looks like "dice vegetables in a food processor and put them in a correct order into a multicooker". The process is intuitive, with two caveats. Firstly, you need to baby-sit the multicooker until it reaches the desired temperature, and only then you can set the timer. Secondly, the stir tower's low stir setting rotates the entire batch of vegetables in a multicooker as one piece, so you need to set the stir tower to 2 or 3 to actually get any stirring. But, well, I can live with this. The multicooker is actually easy to clean, with one exception: the pot, the lid and stir paddles easily go into dishwasher, but the top of the stir tower is the food magnet and needs to be cleaned separately. But, well, that's something I can live with. Also, make sure you remove the stir paddles first, as the grease from them drips onto the heating element if you remove the pot before you remove the paddles. I've also cooked risottos in this machine, and they work out really well, even though I don't follow the risotto program, as I have my recipes. In general, adapting recipes for this machine is easy, as the cooking modes follow closely my electric stove. I did make octopus and calamari in this machine, but I'm a bit reluctant to use it to brown meat, as I feel it may be underpowered - maybe I'm wrong, because since it stirs everything with the lid covered it actually performs really well. I see myself using this thing for more than just vegetables, but I haven't had an opportunity to try it yet. I strongly recommend getting the stir tower, as it makes the device very useful.

I did not give this 5 stars because 1) cooking rice using the stir tower accumulates next to the blades even when using the recommended amounts. 2) the preset setting for rice burns the onions during step 1 It is way too hot 3) the handle of the cover gets so hot even when on simmer that you have to use a pot holder 4) the stir tower is very noisy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this machine. I've been using it for a few weeks now and have made several meals. You could almost eliminate the stove cooking with this. Very intuitive and easy to operate. The stir tower is a really nice feature, gives you an extra hand in the kitchen. I've been wanting to try my hand at making yogurt but have been too intimidated. This machine makes it super easy. I am giving only four stars because the simmer function doesn't work well for me. I have had to use the manual function at a higher temperature to keep things simmering. Sometimes it takes a little time to get it dialed just right so I can feel comfortable walking away to let it do it's thing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far, I've only used the slow cooker function, but it worked quite well. Now that I have received recipes and how-tos for the other modes, I'm sure that I will be trying more things. Overall, it is a nice item. I will be handling the ceramic insert very gently so that it does not scratch.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had the multi-cooker for several weeks now and have used it daily. It greatly simplifies stir-fried cooking and I particularly like it for caramelizing onions. Temperature control is near perfect. I even made a meat loaf in it. I consider it to be an excellent product and I highly recommend it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The KitchenAid Multi-Cooker is exactly what I was waiting for! While I wish it were a little bigger, the main goal of cooking more foods that require constant stirring is met. I love the simplistic functionality of the computer based operating system and the ease of using the paddles. Overall, I am a very happy KitchenAid consumer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is easy to use but the directions are really clear. First r example on the risotto setting the temp has to be at a particular level to let you go from sauté to simmer. Just an adjustment in instructions would be helpful.
