Thank you so very much to KitchenAid and to America’s Test Kitchen! Definitely a five star slow cooker! Temperature control is accurate and cooking time can be set according to your recipe.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the slow cooker and when it arrived I was dismayed that the glass cover did not cover the insert by 3/8” and 5” long on both sides. I was shocked that KitchenAid would sell such a low quality product. I called customer service and another one was sent and, unbelievably, this was also unsatisfactory as the lid did not cover the insert and there were large gaps. I also returned the second one for a refund. There are many low cost and low quality slow cookers on the market. I thought that KitchenAid would be reasonable quality like my other KitchenAid products. Such a disappointment.

Did not work on low, turned it to high but the lid did not fit properly so most of heat and moisture escaped leaving the for partially uncooked and a terrible texture. Very disappointed, I expected more! I returned it and bought a different brand that I am very pleased with....and the lid fits!

I bought this slow cooker about a year ago. I am not a frequent user but noticed that nothing cooks on the low setting. I was exploring buying a different slow cooker and saw the reviews of the same problem. The lid is also very loose which I expect contributes to the problem. I wish I had seen the reviews earlier or I would have returned it after the first use!

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This slow cooker is very easy to operate with a simple digital control situated at the lower part of the unit. It features the usual warm, medium and high setting with the option of programming a timer. The pot and body is slightly more elongated making it more adaptable for cooking longer items such as ribs and roasts. It is a very well designed and attractive appliance.

Old school, love I can start dinner in the morning and it’s waiting for me at the end of the day. Fills the home with the comforting scent of a good meal on those cool fall days. The new features are really nice. Four temperature settings from keep warm to high. The timer is nice. The original crockpots were simply put it in and turn it on. 😄 When we got married crockpots were the new thing, we received four as wedding gifts.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very pleased with my Kitchen Aid 6qt. digital crockpot. I had been looking for some time to replace my old one. I went to America's Test Kitchen reviews and this is the one that they found to work the best. I have to agree! (You can watch the review on You Tube.) This crockpot did not boil my food like my old crockpot. Love the digital! It is simple to use. Very easy to figure out. even without reading all the instructions for timing. I use a crockpot in the fall and winter quite often, The ceramic pot is removeable for cleaning and the handles don't get so hot that you can't remove it. The cord actually hides under the pot for storage and is a good length. I am pretty fussy about the details on purchases. I would definitely recommend this item.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this in June, 2023, like the size, great for cooking large meals. I would recommend buying the rubber seal that Kitchen Aid sells for this model. The open space around the lid causes it to cook slower.

I have owned a Bella and Crockpot slow cooker, both of which worked great, but I decided to finally replace to get one that was "higher quality" and stainless steel. I ended up liking the sleek look of the Kitchenaid one. Unfortunately, the look is the only good thing about this cooker. The ceramic pot is extremely loose from the base, and the lid itself is loose and presents a gap when placed on the pot. IT DOES NOT COOK ON LOW COMPARED TO OTHER SLOW COOKERS! I placed a pot roast for pulled pork into the slow cooker before work, set it to 10 hours. I came home and the pull pork was not done. Compared to my Bella and Crockpot, it would boil within an hour or two on low. This did not boil on low AT ALL. It boils SLIGHTLY on high. In short, it does not cook or get hot as well as other slow cookers in the market. If you look at some of the reviews, they all say the same thing, even the "5" star reviews. Save your money.

I could not believe how well this slow cooker cooked things on low. I even had to turn it to High the last hour. I was thrilled!

The ceramic pot is so warped that there is at least a 1/4" gap letting the heat out & the lid wobbles. I use to trust KitchenAid brands. Not anymore! What happen to quality control & pride in craftsmanship? Now I am having to figure out a solution to the problem or give it away. Will not buy any of KitchenAid products again.

This slow cooker can't handle cooking potatoes, carrots, or meat. I'm not sure what they expect us to cook with this, but it's not adequate for any of my favorite slow cooker recipes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried to cook a 2 1/2 lb. Pot roast and 4 small potatoes on high for 8 hrs and neither the potatoes or meat was anywhere near done. My previous cooker would have finished the same meal in 4 hrs on high. Returning or exchanging the cooker has been a real hassle and after several weeks no luck yet.

I'm increasingly going to KitchenAid small appliances because of their dependability. This slow cooker is easy to use, seems to heat evenly (lots of other slow cookers seem to have hot spots - this one doesn't). I'd like to see a few example recipes included in the user guide to help me when to decide to use Low vs. Medium cooking settings, as I've never had a slow cooker with a Medium setting before.
