Great Dishwasher
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Cleans extremely well, pretty quiet, and absolutely love the versatile 3rd rack. Highly recommend this dishwasher!

    Best dishwasher I’ve ever had.
Love this dishwasher. The deep top third rack is just genius. Very well designed and laid out to hold dishes after a huge dinner party. Would definitely recommend and buy again. Decent quiet when running. Only issue is the buttons are very sensitive. Just barely a touch and it comes alive.

        Sold on quality
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I looked around for quite some time at different brands and models of dishwashers; we use our dishwasher hard and I was looking for one that would hold up. This unit just has an air of quality about it, from the door to the rack-slides and other components. Oh yeah- we had a pleasant surprise once I got the unit installed and powered up- it has lights inside that come on when you open the door! This dishwasher is much more quiet than our old one(s) as well.

          Excellent Dishwasher
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We were very lucky to obtain this dishwasher with the many shortages and back orders the last couple of months. We replaced an older Whirlpool unit with the New KitchenAid 804. Excellent and Solid Dishwasher! Just hoping it stays that way for a long time, Highly Recommended by our Family!

                Crystal Clean
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have owned KA small appliances for years. We love our print shield stainless steel Dishwasher. Looking at additional KA appliances for our kitchen. Need to make sure the SS matches across all of the appliances.

love the water jets on top shelf for glasses
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Replaced a previous much older KA Dishwasher which I loved. Easy install, except for the electrical hookup (the screws were very large in the small space to work with 12G wire). The glasses are sparkling clean on the top rack with its own water jets. Very quiet. Great performance. The lights inside are a bonus, but wish there was a switch to turn them off, if you leave the door open. Rack on top for large utensils is awesome. Still getting used to the top controls and handle, but overall love the performance!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Replacing a previous much older KitchenAid dishwasher. Easy to install, except for the small enclosed area for the wiring connections (screws were very large for 12G wire). The glass come out sparkling clean on the top rack with its o0wn water jets. Very quiet. Great performance. Lights are a bonus features to see where there is room to still load. Rack on top for large utensils is a plus! Still getting used to top hidden controls and front handle.

                      Impressive features - huge capacity
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We did a lot of research and in-store shopping before settling on the KDTM804KPS, one the higher-end KitchenAid models. We initially looked at two European brands, and based on advice from a friend, took some of our own dishes to the appliance store. Although looking a bit foolish loading the floor models with our dishes, we realized these models wouldn't be a good fit - literally. Their tines were too close together to comfortably hold our dishes. The KitchenAid on the other hand, has widely spaced tines and some of them were collapsable. There is tons of room and loading options with three racks. It takes a little time to figure which of your dinner and drinkware fits best, but it all gets in there. Often, we had to run our old dishwasher twice a day because it filled up quickly. Now, we sometimes can load two-days worth of dishes in this model, saving water and electricity. The Rinse Only feature works great in this instance. The interior LED lighting is hugely helpful - why don't more manufacturers offer this? Quietness was a big priority as our kitchen opens into the family/TV room. It's whisper quiet. The only feature I would add is a child lock out. Overall, one of the best appliance purchases we have made. And it's even puppy approved!

This is BY FAR the quietest dishwasher I have EVER owned. The cleaning ability of this machine is outstanding. Where you have 3 different racks, which are all adjustable to suit your needs, each rack has it's very own sprayer. The one thing that I have noticed, is that you have to make sure you push each rack all the way back so that it engages in what I believe is the water supply to the sprayers. This will insure you get everything clean. I wish I had a picture of just how much I have OVERLOADED this machine and EVERYTHING just comes out clean. I have been very very impressed with this dishwasher. Features are all located on the top of the door, and you have a ton of several different options to pick. I also enjoy the "countdown" timer on the screen that will let you know when the dishes are done and ready to use again.

I could write a book about how great this dishwasher is...but no one would read it! Quite simply, this is the best dishwasher I've ever used. Even better than the very nice dishwasher with the German name in my last house and I didn't think I'd ever see one better than it. Kitchenaid really outdid themselves with this one. But let me get one thing out of the way...the manual is terrible. It's a one-size-fits-all for several models and it's just bad. Some information is hard to find, other stuff is spread out over various locations in the manual. Come on Kitchenaid, you can do better. Aside from the manual, what's not to like. It's quiet, energy efficient, stylish, effective, adaptable and informative. One great feature is the countdown graph that shows the progress. Another is the 3rd (upper) rack. It's actually useful! You can fit certain glassware and cups up there that won't fit in others. The center rack is adjustable, there's room for plenty of flatware, many of the tines are angle-adjustable...there's just so many good features it's hard to remember them all. The first thing I really noticed when I unboxed this dishwasher was the amount of insulating batting that surrounded all sides (except the front, of course). It did make for a tight fit and I had to tape it down in a few spots to keep it from wanting to bunch up during the install. Aside from that, install was a breeze. Fortunately, learning to do a basic wash was pretty intuitive because...did I mention the manual is terrible? It's also neat that you can shut off the water to the lower rack if you just have lots of glasses and suck to wash. This is a high-end dishwasher that's really worth the price of admission. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a new one.

This dishwasher is packed with so many features I don’t know where to begin. I love that is has a third upper rack, the low decibel rating is big for me and a stainless steel interior with interior lighting is awesome. I haven’t had a dishwasher in ages and finally found my dream in this model. It was packed extremely well which prevented any damage to occur during shipping. I can’t wait to get this installed as soon as I can get my kitchen remodel back on track.

This unit introduced me to two features I've not had with previous dishwashers: interior lighting and extreme quietness. The three tray layout is superior to others as it accommodates serving dishes, cutlery, cooking sheets, oven shelves, cutting boards, food processor parts, crock pot / dutch oven pottery and other oddities. The two spray wands and the upper jet manifolds ensure thorough coverage of heavily loaded cycles. We always seem to procrastinate a bit and run the DW jam packed. But that old habit isn't so necessary as this appliance seems very efficient in terms of power and water consumption. It looks good too. See photograph 1. It was easy to install: attach water supply line, feed power, set and level, run drain hose. The controls are convenient and intuitive. See photographs 2 and 3. Adding detergent and rinse agent is like all others. See photograph 4. All the racks glide easily (See photograph 5.) and baskets have hefty handles. See photograph 6. Internals are polymer coated to prevent corrosion and damage to dishes. Other interior construction is stainless steel. There are operating cycles to suit every need. And this appliance architecture comports well with many cabinet styles.

This dishwasher has ALL the great options and there a couple of great features I am particular about that I really like about this dishwasher. I installed it into a new construction house and can’t wait to get the whole project complete. Based on what I see so far, there are wonderful attributes. The finish is truly fingerprint-free. The handle/open works great and is easy to use. It’s a small thing, but the plain, unembellished front door looks elevated and allows me to mix this with my other appliances easily. The interior has innovative cleaning racks and sparkling stainless interior. Controls are easy to see on the top edge of the door. The sound-dampening material was a little difficult to tuck into the space but will be effective. Unfortunately, I have not been able to complete the final installation due to trades work-stoppage and electrical is not complete, nor countertops. Can’t wait to run it!

Older one bit the dust so I ordered this one. Absolutely the quietest dishwasher I have ever owned. The quality and features are top notch. It is a beautiful look and love the touch sensitive buttons on the console. Love the layout inside, especially the 3rd row for small dishes and utilization of space to max. Makes loading easier and convenient placement of silverware holder. With set up of racks seems dishes are not rocking and rolling around. Excellent cleaning and drying, I have put some tough stuff in it and were cleaned and perfect! I did have to buy a few plumbing connections to adjust to my old set up but only a few dollars. Looking forward to years of using this amazing dishwasher.

Very nice updated machine. This replaced a falling-apart, older machine, that frankly anything would have been an upgrade. However this machine has all the bells and whistles, and it still does a great job actually washing the dishes. The middle rack can be raised or lowered, which allows for larger items to be placed in the bottom, and you could even wash larger utensils in the cutlery basket. A luncheon sized plate can also be placed in the middle rack, as well as wine glasses, which have a little pop-up to support the stem. The top rack is perfect for glass and mugs, and has another removable rack to lay utensils down. All the racks also open smoothy, even when fully loaded. This machine has all stainless interior, and two lights to help brighten things up. The door also is also tighter, so it doesn't fall to the floor, but rather has to be opened with a purpose, and a textured handle. The exterior has a PrintShied Finish, which not only really helps keep fingerprints down, but can also be cleaned with water. It's also one of the most quiet machines I've ever seen. It has all the settings you could ever possibly need, which are on the top of the door, so that no one can lean against it and turn things on accidentally. It also has a count down to let you know how long is remaining in the cycle. The only two concerns I had is that the cutlery basket has a slide top, which hold everything in place nicely, but does mean that you have to be intentional when put everything in. The other was that the installers I had, had the hardest time getting everything put in and in place. They actually said that they had never seen a more difficult install, and felt that very few DIYer's could do it themselves. I obviously only watched them, but they were very professional and experienced, and it took them almost 2 hours.

This is one luxurious dishwasher with every extra feature that you’d ever need. Both main shelves have adjustable tines that can either slide apart or angle outward. Even when fully loaded, all three shelves slip out as if they’re sliding on ice. I especially like the top shelf which is surprisingly versatile, holding coffee cups and juice glasses along with large utensils and smoothie jar caps. The silverware basket is extra large with all its many slots plus three large compartments for big or odd shaped utensils. The interior lighting is great for seeing things toward the back. All that, plus it washes and dries perfectly while being whisper quiet.

This dishwasher is one of the higher end ones that KitchenAid makes. What makes this dishwasher so awesome is the fact that it has three different racks your typical rack for dishes. A second rack that you typically put glasses and stuff like that in there and smaller items. A third adjustable rack that is great for certain types of classes larger utensils any other kind of specialty items you wanna put in there. What are the most important things I like about this dishwasher is made in America like a lot of other appliances in the past couple of years. You can tell a lot of thought and design went into this dishwasher and their entire dishwasher line. Instructions and registration of this dishwasher are pretty straightforward and installation should be a breeze. I plan on using this dishwasher to replace a 12 year old KitchenAid model that is similar and features but there’s not have the third rack for uncommon utensils glasses plates etc. The KitchenAid brand has been around a long time and it’ll last many years. It is a quality item that is well-designed made of quality materials and should last many years as long as you take care of it and follow the instructions for the many cycles that it has.

This is a very nice dishwasher. It seems built well. It was pretty easy to install. It came with all the parts needed for installation, drain hose, supply hose, electrical cord, etc. It seems to clean the dishes well, but I would expect it to since it is brand new. It is VERY quiet. It sounds like a front load washing machine during a gentle wash. I don’t hear fast moving water, but the dishes come clean. Of course a normal wash is over two hours long. The third rack can be nice. The machine looks very nice. It is very well insulated so it was a bit tight in my custom fit opening. The description says it is 28” deep, but it is really 25” deep. The handle sticks out 2.33” beyond the dishwasher. For me that was a problem because my dishwasher is just 6” from an inside corner and I only have a 1/4” clearance between my dishwasher handle and my silverware drawer. Hopefully that will always be enough,

I am a fan of quality appliances and I like Kitchenaid quality and features. This Kitchenaid 24” top control makes the most of all available space and is packed with features. The three level racks accommodate essentially all types of dishes and utensils. There are two lights inside the dishwasher which are bright and reflect off the stainless tub to amplify the lights. I like the stainless printshield as it shows little to no fingerprints. The middle rack is adjustable (up or down) to allow for large pots or washable crockpots to be cleaned on the bottom rack. The top rack is designed for cups and mugs and possesses two stationary spray tubes that jet water into and around the cups/mugs. The top rack also possess a removable utensil tray. The bottom rack is standard with a pullout utensil bin and a separate large knife holder. Installation took me about 1hr, including removing my old dishwasher. The cycles include: ProWash, tough, normal, express wash and rinse only. The following are also options during the wash/dry cycles: hi temp, sani rinse, prodry, top 2 racks, 1-24hr delay. Overall, I am very impressed at the features, quality, cleanliness and quiet operations of this Kitchenaid dishwasher.

SUMMARY: An expensive but very nice dishwasher, possibly the best we have ever owned. BACKGROUND: A few years ago we upgraded our dishwasher. It was an expensive unit and had a feature that my wife loved. But it didn’t dry dishes very well. The chance to evaluate a new KitchenAid model with enhanced drying features was a welcome opportunity. FIT AND FINISH: This is a VERY NICE looking dishwasher. All stainless, easy to read display, lots of room inside. FEATURES: Edited from the Home Depot page, with my comments as appropriate. • ... LED Interior Lighting illuminates inside for easy loading and unloading. ◦ This is actually a pretty cool thing. We can actually do some things with the dishwasher without turning on the big kitchen lights. • FREEFLEX Third Rack: The largest third rack available has a deep, angled design that fits 6 in. glasses, mugs and bowls. It features rotating wash jets to clean items in the rack, a drying bar with tabs that help wick moisture off glasses and a removable utensil tray for cooking tools ◦ Three racks seems to be standard on most new dishwashers. The FREEFLEX rack is actually a down-side for us as our previous machine had a top rack just for silverware which was the thing my wife liked the most. • 44 dBA provides quiet cleaning without compromising performance, so there’s no need to wait to run a wash cycle while entertaining and enjoying meals, even in open concept kitchens ◦ This machine is QUIET. Our previous machine was just as quiet. It’s nice to start washing dishes and be able to watch TV in the living room with the volume at a low level. I literally don’t know it’s running unless I see the lights on. • Advanced Clean Water Wash System uses microfiltration to continuously remove food particles during the wash and rinse cycles and circulates clean water to dishes in all three racks, This allows dirty cookware and delicate glassware to be washed together in the same load ◦ Not sure about the microfiltration, but the dishes come out clean every time. • Fan-Enabled ProDry System combines a heating element and fan for optimal drying performance. It circulates hot air around dishes after the wash cycle to give them a thorough dry, To activate, select the ProDry Option or Extended ProDry Option ◦ This single feature was the main reason we selected this unit. True, if you have plastic containers with lips and edges that trap water it won’t dry those areas, but the rest of the plasticware is coming out of the dishwasher without additional wiping and drying required. So nice not to move half the things in the dishwasher into the drying rack in the sink for more drying! • ProWash Cycle uses sensors to measure soil levels throughout the cycle and adapts wash time and water temperature as needed for tough messes or lighter loads, because no two meals or the dishes that result are exactly the same ◦ A feature that is tough to measure other than the consistently clean dishes. • PrintShield Finish resists smudges and fingerprints, the specialized coating for stainless steel is easy to clean with just water and a soft cloth, so you can spend more time cooking and less time cleaning up the kitchen ◦ I don’t see fingerprints and we have an 18 month old granddaughter who hangs out in the kitchen touching everything. It has survived her. • Adjustable Middle Rack adds flexibility to fit tall items like a stand mixer bowl, Lower the rack to place large dishes inside or raise it to make room for platters, pitchers, blender jars and more in the rack below ◦ The ability to adjust the rack is handy. We seem to have found one height that works for us 90% of the time. But we know we can move it if something changes. • Extended ProDry Option extends the ProDry Cycle time by 15 minutes for loads that need extra drying time ◦ As mentioned before the favorite feature. • Durable Stainless Steel Interior offers the beauty and benefits of stainless steel inside the dishwasher, it resists streaks, stains and odors, while retaining heat to help improve drying ◦ We stopped buying plastic interiors a few years ago and my wife loves her stainless. • SatinGlide Max Rails in Third and Middle Racks allow racks to move effortlessly, even when fully loaded ◦ They do seem to open and close better. The wife even mentioned they are easier to use. • Adjustable Rows in Middle and Lower Racks fold down to make room for dishes in a variety of shapes and sizes like roasting pans, serving bowls, colanders and dutch ovens ◦ It is handy because you have more versatility when loading. • 6 Stemware Holders in Middle Rack secure wine glasses along the sides of the rack to prevent them from moving around during the wash cycle ◦ Don’t use stemware often, but they are there if we do. • Express Wash Cycle cleans in less time, so you always have the dishes you need while prepping, cooking and entertaining ◦ Haven’t used it yet, but still a nice feature. • Culinary Caddy Utensil Basket provides convenient space in the lower rack for tall utensils like whisks and spatulas, overflow silverware and small items that need to be secured for cleaning and drying ◦ Sorry, this is the biggest down-check for this machine for us. Our previous machine, with a silverware rack on the top, was MUCH nicer for us to use. I must caveat that our silverware drawer is right next to the dishwasher so my wife could move silverware from the machine to the drawer with no effort or bending at all. If you have your silverware drawer further away then the removable basket is nice. It has a nice grab handle to lift it out of the machine, you just have to balance the basket when you load it. • Sani-Rinse Option eliminates 99.999% of food soil bacteria by adding a high-heat final rinse to sanitize dishes ◦ Handy to have when you are working food prep. • Top Controls are tucked away on top of the dishwasher door for a clean look to match your kitchen style, an indicator light on the front of the door changes colors to subtly display cycle progress ◦ Nice to see and use. DELIVERY/INSTALLATION: A KitchenAid contractor delivered the machine. Installation was included as part of the package, but I prefer to do my own work. The delivery crew was very polite and professional. I did have a slight problem during installation. The dishwasher has a proprietary cord connection to the machine, and the plug end is a standard, straight plug. Unfortunately, the outlet for the dishwasher is directly behind the machine. This prevented me from pushing the dishwasher completely into the cabinet recess. A right-angle plug would seem to be a better power cord configuration. On the bright side, we don’t have to pull the door open to see the controls. OPERATION: Nothing special here. But this thing is QUIET. SUMMARY: A welcome upgrade over our previous dishwasher. PROS: Dries dishes very well. QUIET CONS: Top rack not as useful for us.

This Kitchenaid dishwasher in stainless is a great appliance. First of all is the overall quality which is apparent as soon as you open the box. Good installation instructions. Lots of feature - see the photos. And probably one of eht most important for me is that it is QUIET. I have owned Kitchenaid before and appreciate the low noise lever. Easy to have this in the great room running while watching TV. I also like the versatility. The racks are adjustable, the third rack can be completely removed, etc, etc.

Love the dishwasher, hate the manual. The KitchenAid KDTM804KPS is the third KitchenAid dishwasher we've had over the years. For a long time we had a "Superba" model that was very good, but eventually declined. After that was a Bosch 800 (liked the capacity and design, but it didn't clean well for us), a lower-end KitchenAid with front controls (pretty good) and a GE with top controls (miserable layout held few dishes). The KDTM804KPS hits all the right notes - it fits more of our dishes than any previous model we have tried, washes extremely well, is very quiet and has great features. How great? So much so that KitchenAid doesn't even tell you about some of them! Let's start with that third rack. Lots of dishwashers have one, but this KitchenAid does it right. It is shaped to allow reasonable size glasses and cups and has two spray arms that turn back and forth, like an oscillating sprinkler, to make sure that everything in that rack gets sparkling clean. There's also a large flatware tray. The middle rack can be positioned up and down, and it is also shaped such that (with some care) it doesn't hit larger plates on the bottom rack. The tines are set to allow lots of realistically-sized dishes to fit, and the tines can be folded down or at various angles as needed. This rack also has five flip-up clips to secure stemware in place, but I have to ask - why five? Six would fit and would make much more sense. The bottom rack is also cavernous and the tines are spaced just right so that, again, lots of our dishes fit. Another flatware rack is here - identical to the one in our older lower-priced KA - but it's fine. There are LED lights for the interior, but we turned those off as we usually leave the door cracked open. Another undeclared feature is a funky-looking triangular rack clipped to the left side of the bottom rack, intended for kitchen knives (Chef's knife, etc.) This is mentioned nowhere in the specs or the manual, and even the KitchenAid customer service reps had no clue what it was initially. Thankfully it just pulls off, as we'd never run such knives through the dishwasher. The filter at the bottom is one you don't have to clean after every load, though you should check it. The heating element is recessed but exposed. This model has many cycles, and features a fan-forced drying cycle that vents out a duct below the door. It offers delayed atart and the heated dry can be set to either run for an extended time or not run heated at all (which is our preference.) You can even tell it to wash only the top two racks - handy if you have lots of glassware and no plates. Here's another feature they don't tell you about: when the dishwasher is running, that black panel above the handle is actually an LCD display that tells you which cycle it's in and has a bar graph that shortens as the cycle progresses. (See pictures I attached.) When done, the panel displays "CLEAN" (that turns off when you open the door.) I chose to install it so that I could also see the time-remaining display on the top. Installation was fairly typical. I was very impressed with the sound insulation batting, which was heavier and more extensive than any dishwasher I had previously seen. The batt even extends down the back of the unit. Underneath the tub was another unannounced surprise - a drip tray with a float switch! This catches any leaks from the water supply or the tub, and if the level gets too high it shuts down the dishwasher and sounds an alarm. I was also impressed with how integrated the chassis seemed, with higher quality components than I am used to seeing. My only real gripe here was the use of plastic leveling legs on each corner that were hard to reach while installing and required a larger wrench (1 inch?) than I had at hand. I really loved the Bosch system that used a screw you turned from the front that adjusted the back legs. The unit has rubber gaskets on sides and top to go against the cabinet. Performance is simply excellent, both washing and drying. We tried the standard fan-forced "Pro Dry" and it worked as advertised, blowing warm moist air out the duct and getting all the dishes, including plastic containers, quite dry. In operation it is extremely quiet. Unlike many dishwashers in this price range, this model does not have Wi-Fi and doesn't connect to an app. That's fine with me. Now about that manual. As is common in the appliance industry, this is an unbranded manual that covers multiple models from multiple Whirlpool brands, but it's not always clear whether a step or a feature applies to your model. Worse, the use instructions are spread out across three different documents. I do want to call out one section of the manual as especially horrible. This is "User Interface Customer Settings", where it tells you how to change: 1) How much rinse aid is dispensed, 2) Whether sound is on or off, 3) whether the tub lights are enabled, and 4) Whether "Kosher Friendly" mode is enabled. What is "Kosher Friendly" mode? The manual doesn't say, but the KitchenAid web site says it is what other brands call a Sabbath mode, where the controls and lights are disabled. All other appliances that have this automatically disable it after 72 hours (or thereabouts), but I see nothing here to suggest that, suggesting that you have to set and unset it each time. And there's the rub... The manual's instructions for how to change these settings are simply wrong. Some of this is trying to combine instructions for models with and without a numeric display, but even so they're wrong. So here's how it works. 1. Press and hold HI TEMP. The LED by HI TEMP will flash for a few seconds, go out for a few more, then come back on. When it comes back on, immediately remove your finger from HI TEMP and press START. The display will read A if you did it right; if not, press CANCEL and try again. 2. Press NORMAL to step through the setting categories. The display will read A for Rinse Aid, S for sound, L for light, K for Kosher and the last option is r for Factory Reset. 3. When you get to the category you want, press START. The display will then add a digit to tell you the status of that option. For example, S1 means sound is on, S0 means sound is off, etc. 4. Press NORMAL to cycle through the choices for that category. 5. When you find the one you want, press START to save it. (The manual doesn't tell you this at all.) The display will then turn off. If you don't want to make changes, press CANCEL. (The manual says hold for three seconds, but I didn't find that necessary.) It will also time out after 30 seconds if no other action is taken. You have to repeat the whole sequence for each setting you want to change. One last thing I'll note is that the manual says that if you turn the sound off, you still get an end-of-cycle sound. I did not find that to be the case. To quote my wife, "This one is a keeper!" Rich feature set, superb rack design, great build quality. We love it!

This is one of those situations where you didn't realize you needed something until you had it. This is a great dishwasher, with a few minor drawbacks. It has plenty of features, but the best one is the "pro wash" and "pro dry" cycles. These are cycles where the dishwasher constantly monitors the wash water to determine if the cycle needs to run longer. It resulted in cleaning every mess I sent it's way, including getting cinnamon stains out of a stainless steel pot. The "pro dry" cycle is a heated dry cycle with a fan running to circulate the air in the dishwasher. This results in absolutely dry dishes, without any water remaining on tops of glasses or containers. Dishes, and especially glasses come out spotless. The three racks are a very nice feature and have resulted in our often running out of dishes before we've completely filled the dishwasher. This is a great problem to have. The third rack (top one) is somewhat limited in what it will hold. It has special nozzles designed to clean inside mugs and glasses that are laid horizontally on the racks, however, because it it so close to the top of the dishwasher larger mugs and glasses won't fit. Not the end of the world since it's bonus space to begin with. It also has a rack that is good for longer utensils that don't fit in the utensil rack, like spatulas and kitchen knives. It runs quietly, and depending on how well it's installed may or may not be quieter than your existing dishwasher. Installation was straightforward, however, if you're installing it yourself be very wary of connecting the water supply to the intake. It's a plastic intake and is super easy to crossthread. When you crossthread it, like I did, it will leak which will cause the float valve to trip and will trigger an alarm rendering your machine useless until it's fixed. It took me about three days of troubleshooting to figure this out, but I was able to attach the intake properly and that resolved the issue. The dishwasher looks great with some LEDs on the front showing the status of the current cycle. Otherwise all buttons are on the top of the door. This leads to a cleaner look, but I've accidentally hit a few while opening the door on occasion. Again, not a big deal and really just means I have to change my habits of how I open and close the dishwasher door. If you have the option of purchasing this dishwasher you will not be disappointed. It's fantastic.

I was very disappointed with this dishwasher. It's a top of the line KitchenAid dishwasher but it performs like a mid-range. Problem number 1: apparently Whirlpool/KitchenAid haven't gotten around to writing and publishing an owner's manual for his unit yet. Mine didn't come with one and when I searched the internet I could not find one. When I contacted the manufacturer directly they tried to direct me to a manual for a completely different unit. Consequently my review is based on my best guess as to how to use this thing. As an example, the bottom rack has some sort of triangular plastic thing attached to the left side of the rack (see photo). Apparently that doo-dad is unique among KitchenAid dishwashers so I could find no mention of what it might be. I can only assume it is meant to hold long utensils such as butcher knives. Problem number 2: It's not really that quiet. It's quieter than the unit it replace but I've had other dishwashers that cost considerably less that were quieter. Problem number 3: It runs for hours and hours and hours on the Pro setting. Now the big question: does it get the dishes clean? That after all was the reason I replaced my previous dishwasher. The answer is yes. No complaints there. Good things: Nice thing 1: I has a nice LED interior light. Nice thing 2: The 3rd upper rack is much deeper than other high-end dishwashers. That depth can interfere with what you can load into the middle rack though so you may or may not find this a good thing. Other oddities: At this price range you would expect the dishwasher to have WiFi connectivity to alert you when a cycle is finished or when you need to add rinsing agent. This unit doesn't have it. All in all this unit is not ready for prime time. They need to create and make available a user manual, add WiFi, make it quieter. As delivered today this unit is terribly overpriced.

The Kitchen Aid 24 in. Top Control Built-in Tall Tub Dishwasher in Print Shield Stainless with Stainless Steel Tub and Third Level Rack, Silver in color is the nicest dishwasher that I have ever used. This third shelf dishwasher has features not on my older dishwasher; adjustable shelf's, third shelf, interior light, interior fan for greater drying ability, extended drying time and the noise level is considerable less. I like the hidden controls on the door top, the larger caddy in the bottom with more room to stand up certain utensils rather than laying them in the top shelf. The Install with the delivery team is great if you don’t have the ability to do the install yourself, as that provide uninstall, install and haul away service if needed for a fee. Overall I give this one a WOW, which we will enjoy for some time.

As being raised in the era of wringer washers and hand washing dishes, I was honestly a little skeptical about owning a dishwasher for years. As my wife and I become older, it's time consuming in the kitchen with preparing meals, and then having to clean up at the end. Let me tell you this. The Kitchen Aid dishwasher is absolutely a life saver for us. It was so easy to install, with hooking up one hot water line, one drain hose, and a power cord. This unit can be hard-wired, or with a plug-in cord. The dishwasher is so quiet, you can hardly hear it running. The different cycles it has is a great variety. And while going through each cycle, it displays it across the top and the front as well. Our dishes came out looking new and more shinier than when we handwash. Amazing product. Now I look back at all the years I've wasted on not owning one prior to this. I rate this product a life saver. Only flaw that I see is the door seal could have been mounted with a metal clamp to fit around with a rubber than just a full rubber piece. Seems to slide very easy and have to adjust. Maybe after some us, it will fit snugger. Also, the interior lighting and spacious racks are also amazing. My wife just reminded me to mention. If this is your first, or replacing another dishwasher. I definitely would look into this one. Hands down, great product for us. Love it.

A great-looking, well-designed three-level dishwasher that is full of features. This is the nicest dishwasher we have ever owned and most importantly it does a wonderful job of washing and drying the dishes. When you open it you immediately notice that there is lots of room and flexibility. This dishwasher holds a lot of dishes! And you can configure it to meet your individual needs and to best suit the sizes and types of your dishes and glasses with an adjustable middle rack. Also, the top rack is not just for utensils. Its innovative design includes space for cups and glasses. The LED lights make it easy to see everything or empty spaces you have. The variety of washing cycles and options provides many helpful combinations. We have used normal wash and ProDry. The ProDry feature dries the dishes with heat and a fan and the results were great. The one downside is that this combination takes 2 hrs. 53 minutes. No drying shortens the cycle to 2:14 and if you are in a hurry there is an express wash that cuts that time in half. One of the other options allows you to wash only the top two racks if you have a small load. As you make selections the machine displays the wash time so you know exactly what to expect. Finally, we love how quiet the machine is, especially because we have an open concept home. You barely know it's operating.
