Does the job. Did a full kitchen with 28 upper and lower cabinet doors, and worked great. Was kinda tricky to line up my markings with the tool, and the tool has 1/8” of play to account for, but adjustable concealed hinges can accommodate for that. If doing more than a full kitchen, Kreg tools should build a version with metal inserts to improve accuracy.

Not as good as using a drill press with a good Forster bit. Not a good value. A mediocre, inaccurate jig - not sturdy BUT it could have been great w 3 changes: (1) a metal sleeve for the Forster drill bit to fit in snugly (2) metal drill bit guides for drilling the two screw holes adjacent to the large hole. (3) a Forster bit that drills properly-sized holes.

ordered new maple doors and stupid drill guide melted and screwed up my door. I waited a month for the door. Now I don't know what to do....

This product is good and has done well for me so far. I built some doors and used this for the hinges. It works great. I like that the adjustments are made in millimeters. As you can see on the back of the unit, there are angles to the pegs which spaces it out. My only issues are the slots where the woods comes out is too small. I was drilling into walnut and it got stuck and would not drill any more. I had to completely remove it and restart. Also, the plastic used to house the drill portion seems a bit flimsy. I think over time it may wear down from the heat that is caused by friction.

The plastic housing around the bit melted as I was drilling the holes on my 10th cabinet door. It instantly caused the bit to drill at an angle towards the edge of my cabinet door. Instead of a 3 mm gap I've got about 1 mm. Not sure what to do but I won't be buying this again. It almost ruined my cabinet door.

Building cabinet doors and used this jig for the hinges. This makes the hole drilling process very easy and straight forward. Very intuitive to set up and use. It is a bit expensive though if only using it for a few doors though.

Had to install new softclose hinges on my cabinets and was dreading the task of drilling new holes to add the hinges or renting a drill press. This inexpensive adapter makes the task a breeze. I was able to gee the doors done in average of 10 minute s a piece.

Great for those without a drill press setup for this......easy to use.

This product was easy and straight forward to use. It made perfect holes in the cabinet doors I was installing. The doors I mounted with this tool actually fit better than the ones that were pre-drilled at the factory. With basic tools and a hand drill, I completed the job. Definitely recommend to others.

This is perfect. I drilled all the holes for 10 cabinets just now and it was a breeze. 20 perfect circles the perfect distance from the cabinet edge.

Another fantastic product from Kreg. I used this to install the hinges on a huge set of cabinets that I built for a customers kitchen. This made quick work of getting all of the hinges in the perfect spot, and it did so at a great price as well. The jig has adjustments that you can make for the distance of the hinge from the edge of the door as each manufacturer of hinges is a little different. You can twist the bit and remove it from the jig so that you do not have to keep the whole thing in place while you attach your drill. It also two spots to drill pilot holes for the screws to fasten the hinge down. I can drill the holes for both hinges on a door in less than a minute. It is fantastic. I highly recommend this product to anyone who is looking to install concealed hinges, even if you are only planning on doing a couple, this is well worth the money.

Perfect hole every time and perfect depth. Can't imagine drilling these holes free hand. Easy to use make sure you have good clamps. Well worth buying. I couldn't be happier with this purchase.

Bought this to install 26 oak cabinet doors. The guide on the first one melted when the bit overheated while drilling the fifth door. Thought it was because my drill was slipping on the bit causing it to overheat. Bought another one and used a new drill with a keyed chuck to ensure no slippage. Second one melted after about 10 doors. Bought a third one to finish the project on time and was able drill the remaining doors. I was checking the bit after each hole and waiting between drilling to ensure it didn't overheat but the second one still melted. Bottom line don't use plastic for a drill guide. I wish I had purchased a more expensive metal jig in the first place.

I used this jig on five doors before the plastic guide melted/warped and caused a hole to form on the side of the door. This is in spite of quelching the bit in water between doors and pausing drilling every 10 seconds (Kreg doesn't even bother suggesting these steps or recommending a specific drill speed). The bit guide is garbage, it should absolutely be metal (like their other products). There are plenty of other jigs at the same price point with a metal guide.

The tool concept is great, and the dimensions part is quite good. The problem is that the drill bit is nowhere near as sharp as it needs to be to cut through hardwood, and this caused lots of heat from friction, with wood burning, the tool rod getting so hot that the plastic frame melted. 50+ dollars down the drain and a job that is only one third complete.

Easy to use and help complete the job quickly

I purchased this jig for a set of cabinet doors and it worked as it should. It's worth the money.
