  • No hype. The Kreg K4 is the real deal.

I waited too long before I finally pulled the trigger on the K4. Did a lot of comparison research on some of the other Kreg options as well as some other pocket hole jigs on the market. Lower priced alternatives just couldn't compare to the Kreg. This tool makes perfect pocket holes and the measurements are dead on accurate. Like any good tool, it can be used in different ways based upon the application. I do a lot if 1/4" roundovers and with a little adjustment the Kreg system is flawless. Super strong joints and a huge amount of time saved. Completed structures are so solid that they actually resonate as if it were a solid piece if wood. If you're on the fence about a pocket hole jig, trust me and go with Kreg.

For years I wasted hours doweling joints in oakwood projects, shying away from anything glued and screwed. One day I decided to buy this Kreg system, and I have never looked back! What a tremendous time saver, and the joints are virtually as strong as any other. What's more is, they are joined instantly. Use coarse screws for soft woods (poplar and pine) and fine for hardwoods. If someone had given me one of these for Christmas I would have been thrilled....too bad they did not do it years ago. and saved me work and time.

I consider myself a fairly good woodworker and recently purchased the Kreg jig set. I suggest buying at least one 90 degree clamp and one flat clamp. I put four fairly large picture frames together and after clamping them together and putting the screws in required very little sanding mainly for appearance. I wanted them to be a little more rustic so did not 45 the corners. After finishing and a little minor sanding the seams can barely be seen. Very easy to learn to use. Am interested in starting some other projects I have been putting off because I wasn't sure how to secure them until now. One of the best purchases I've made.

I have owned this system for a few years now and it is all it claims to be. I used about an hour ago with my brother in law to make a counter top for a bar, and the smile on his face as to how long it took says Santa needs to bring him one...He's getting one too......Once you buy it and use it, you'll wonder why you waited so long to get one....Love it!!

I was going to replace our pantry shelves with new shelving. Well when you have a wife like mine (constantly changing her mind) I ended up building a full blown built in cabinet. This was my first time using the pocket jig. I couldn't believe the accuracy and how easy it was to use. Best money I've ever spent. My wife thinks so also, which is very rare.

I built picture frames using the KregJig and was very pleased. The key to a smooth joint is clamping both pieces to a flat surface. It is wise to test adjustments on a scrap first. And don't skip reading the instructions and manual! It has all info needed for a perfect pocket hole joint.
