The doors are solidly built. The veneer is hickory, so there are very evident knots that you may want/need to fill. The doors I received had a number of dents and scratches that must have occurred before packaging because the packing was pretty good. Not perfect, but good.

The door is a nice design and construction. The packaging was poor. One corner of the door was split - there were no corner protectors; only corrugated cardboard taped around the edges. Also, the wood insert sections had shifted so a gap was showing at one side. I was able to center them with a mallet.
