I bought this range a few months ago, it was recently installed for my kitchen remodel. This range is great, beautiful, performs as a professional range, easy clean up, manufacturer specifications and performance expectations are spot on.
We purchased this product a few weeks ago. We got to propane version. It was easy to set up, and very easy to use. Our whole family has enjoyed cooking with our 36" Range. Its beautiful inside and out. I do agree with other reviews about the oven racks being a bit tough to slide in and out, but it just took a little to get used to.
We love how the Range looks in our new kitchen! The six burners are useful and we also like the large burner and simmer options. We have had problems with starting/lighting the burners. Sometimes they just click and won’t light. Sometimes they light and then start clicking when a pan is placed on the burner. Sometimes when you’re using one burner the other burners start clicking. The oven racks don’t slide very well but we have gotten accustomed to that.
So happy with my stove and hood, I didn’t know the kucht brand when I was searching for a nice for ever stove and I’m so happy I got it, the two simmer burners are the best and the big front burner it’s a must, I can use all my pots, any size! And what about the look?!?!? Love it!!!
I love this range, from the moment it was deleivered into my home. Well built and beautiful. Made my first meal on it as soon as it was hooked up. Homemade gnocchi with a marinara sauce and it came out fantastic.
Like everyone else I wanted a Wolf and have had several but wasn't interested in paying $6-9k just to have a Subzero knock off with red knobs. This range arrived within 10 days of ordering, well packed and the delivery driver helped me get it up the front steps and staged in the kitchen. There was minor issue with install as my counters are at 37" and with legs fully extended the range was still not flush, so I added oak runners attached to the floor under legs and worked perfectly . I have had NO issues with clicking burners because the polarity on my outlet is correct, if your ignition is clicking you need to wire your outlets correctly. The burners, cooking surface and grates are just as nice as my old Wolf as well as lighter and easier to clean, not sure why a few people can't figure out how to clean there's. The oven and broiler heat up fast and hot and smelled a bit funky at first, but ... IF YOU READ THE MANUAL... thatz why they tell you to turn it on High for 30 minutes to condition it and EXPECT IT TO SMELL FUNNY .... Having the 18000 burner is amazing for boiling water for pasta, potatoes etc and will be great for a wok or griddle. The oven is huge, racks are same and operate like a Wolf or Viking or any other commercial style range. Only had it a month so keeping my fingers crossed it is built to last and not just look good out the box, so I will update if I have problems ... That being said if you are looking for a quality range a price that will leave room for some new countertops or other needs this is it ... The bad reviews I read were older so either they resolved their manufacturing issues or its proof positive that you can't fix stupid ... Enjoy!!!
Just bought this range after a long and extensive search for well built range that was not going to break the bank and had great reviews not only about the product but the company that builds the product and definitely a center piece in the kitchen when it complete!!!
Bought this range after lots of research. I went into the local stores and checked out Viking, Wolf along with the NXR from Costco and of course all the big brand (kenmore, GE, kitchen aide) commercial ranges. I used Consumer Reports as a resource as well, which actually turned me on to this range and. It was a big risk, buying this sight unseen... It sat in storage from last June until December when the unit was installed, I was nervous. BUT, after over a month of usage I think I made a good decision.
Looks great - It's definitely the focal point of the kitchen!
Built well - Appears to be of good construction and passes the feel test. Time will tell, but so far so good.
No Eletronics - This was a biggie for me. I didn't want any digital displays on the front of the range, no control panels to go bad in 5yrs. Everything is mechanical and easy to clean/maintain.
Piezo/Ticking sound on some burners - When I light some burners the piezo keeps ticking trying to light, even though it's lit. I've read about this elsewhere prior to purchasing and remember it being an easy fix. Will get to that later as it's not a big deal right now.
Convection Fan - Kind of weak, but gets the job done. I like using convection in all oven applications, more even heat. It runs, very lightly, but I'm sure it helps.
Oven Racks - Sticky and hard to slide out evenly. I'm thinking this is primarily due to the width of the range. The wider dimension makes it harder to slide out without binding. But, this is probably the most frustrating thing about this range thus far.
Electrical Plug in - back of range has about 6" at bottom of the range to accommodate the electrical outlet when the range is plugged in. This allows you to push the range all the way to the wall. I didn't know this and electrician wired outlet at standard height... I used an appliance extension cord, low profile, to help out so you may need one of those to get this thing flush to the wall.
Not made in US - This sucked for me but I tried like heck to buy US first on all appliances. I failed miserably... :( But, I had a budget and this fit into that budget.
Overall, a good purchase and I would recommend to anyone. I get the commercial functionality, look and feel for over a 1/3rd of the price! Similar Viking Range went for well north of $9k. I managed to do my whole kitchen for that and achieve the same results. I wrestled with getting a griddle in lieu of the middle burners, glad I didn't get the griddle. My mom has one and she doesn't use it that often and I prefer having additional burners when I'm really trying to get a meal done.
Delivery was a non issue for me. Showed up in approx 2wks and was dropped at my builders storage unit as promised and in great shape.
If you're on the fence and looking to save some $$$$ I'd recommend. If you need the gadgetry of digital displays and/or big name or red knobs and have the money then by all means look at the big dogs, but think of what you could do with that extra $$ down the road! :)
I Love having 6 burners. I can cook a large meal and not run out of space on the cooktop. The oven cooks wonderful but I'm disappointed that I can't fit 2 cookie sheets on a rack. The oven comes with 2 racks a 3rd would have been nice. The broiler works great. All in all its a fantastic stove and worth the money.
