I purchased these locks simply because you can change the key without having to change the door knobs again, which will save you money in the long run. Its also great if you have mutiple doors as you can set the locks to one key instead of carrying multiple keys. Changing the key is also super simple and took approximately 30 seconds to a minute. Really happy we went with these locks!

The antique brass door knob and deadbolt was of very good quality and a good product selection for the cost. It was installed in the door efficiently by Dan a Home Depot Pro as a replacement for a 20+ worn out doorknob and is much more solid now.

Always on time free delivery in excellent condition. In the past I used a locksmith supply house, now home Depot is my go-to source. Thank you home Depot from making my life simpler in my business more successful.

This lock was very easy to install

I like the ease with which you can key all the doors similarly with kwikset products. I have used this brand for door hardware throughout my home when I moved here 9 years ago. All the exterior "security" knobs had to be replaced in the past 3 years due to metal wearing out on the closure ramps. Eventually the door will stop closing unless you turn the knob to defeat the clasp, then the knob will not turn smoothly, and eventually the mechanism will bind up and the door will be unreliable. No complaints about the deadbolts.

Super frustrating to find it came in 4 completely different colors…. Why?!

Quick and easy install with one huge design flaw. The pressure plate for the hidden screws is faulty. After a few uses this door was flying off and needed to be replaced. The most annoying thing ever. Support says they’ve never heard of this issue but I’ve seen several pictures and reviews with the same issue. Now my options are to wait 10 business days for a replacement or return go Home Depot and find another option.

Had the store re-key it, but turns out you can re-key it yourself. That's a great new feature. This was a replacement set for an old worn out set and it works great. Should have replaced it a long time ago.

Easy to install and rekey all the locks

Great quality. We also have them on another outbuilding and they weather beautifully.

I replaced four exterior locksets and wanted to make sure the same key would work in all the knobs and cylinders. The Smartkey feature of these locksets made it easy to rekey them before installation. Since these replaced existing locks, installation was straightforward with just a phillips screwdriver. I didn't give 5 stars because some of the knobs have to be installed with the key slot upside down depending on the door swing.

Very good quality and great looking. Bought this for my daughter's new home. This is replacing an existing unit. I had issues installing both units to get the locks to both be facing up. The dead bolt still does not. I have installed a dozen of these with no issues before. Seemed like the bolts were not centered so if i set the key slot face upward the stem was at such an angle i could not attach the back. The door handle uses hidden screws and a pressure plate, which took quite awhile to figure out. The bolt was very tight and difficult to turn. I had to shave to hole slightly and now its smooth. Not sure if the issues were the locks, the previous drilling or me.

Installed new door I was putting in the deadbolt lock when I noticed the screws in the package did not fit the key lock part of the dead bolt . The screws are to thin so I can't install it. Going see if I can get home depot or kwik to give me the correct screws.

Very easy to install. You can really feel the quality of the lock by the smoothest of its operation.

The locks are great, very secure and was easy to install. Looks so expensive on my new screen door. Will purchase again for my next screen door.

The door knob and deadbolt lock combo were exactly as presented on the website.

Low quality but inexpensive and convenient if rekeying often is needed. Finish is not durable after 4 or five years, replaced a lock set latch after failing to move open/close, the design for the bolts on lock set is poor. It is inexpensive and works well for my needs, especially since I have rekeyed multiple times after tenants moved out.

I love that this will be the last lockset for quite a while on my rental properties. It is super easy to change the keyset to another one without having to replace the locks.

Be aware that support is extremely poor, half hour wait times and if you buy these for a rental property there is NO warranty of any kind. The coating wears off on the knobs in less than a year and also they tend to rust. I am very disappointed that I purchased these. It has happened to all of these purchased in the last few years, I have some older ones that still look good.

Probably not the best lock on the market but it seems like a nice secure lock to use on a residential garage service door. Nice, sturdy dead bolt throws out a good inch. I replaced an older, rusty "Kwikset" lock and my holes were already drilled so installation was routine; no complications.

The finish goes well with the new paint. They were easy to install and Ramey to my existing locks.

I like all kwikset lock when they are new and the smartkey feature is a real bonus, but I am replacing my original ones that are only 5 years old just look at the pictures they are all rusted and rotted out and they are in a location under a porch. Yes the home is a few block from the ocean, and yes I probably could call Kwikset and get a free replacement because of their lifetime warranty but they are on a vacation rental home and I needed to get it done right away. Therefore I had to spend around 54 dollars on the set at home depot and yes they look great now but what will the future hold? I have a few properties and I have notice that the finishes on all of the locks near the ocean or not get cloudy and change in appearance relatively quick, I probably will venture away from Kwikset but for a fast fix I got her done!

I needed an Entry Door Deadbolt Combo for my new security door I was going to be installing. I found that the set I had bought was not compatible with my key, so I swung by home depot to find a new set. The associate in the department helped me locate a set that was compatible with my key, and he had mention the ease of installing this set. He was not kidding about how easy it is to key the new locks to your house key, and you can key it while the locks are installed on the door. I will be upgrading all of the locks on my house over the next year.

Easy to set up your key once installed.

The screw holes for the strike plate for the deadbolt lock was slightly off and didn't match up perfectly to existing holes. Had to fill in existing holes to make it fit. Otherwise, it's a very nice set that replaced our old lock and deadbolt system.

This was my second handleset purchased from HD. I couldnt be happier with how easy it was to install and rekey this backdoor set to the frontdoor set. After using the smartkey rekey system i was able to rekey all four locks to one key.
