The set up was as easy as installing a regular dead bolt. The problem with my unit was that the code set up did not work. Reset it several times and it still did not work. Kwikset Customer service was poor.

Easy to install and rekey.
I had this installed, the codes set and rekeyed in less than a half hour.
The insrtuctions are clear and easy to follow.
I decided to buy this because my daughter locked herself out. I thought about getting a smart lock but I fear the internet or power going out or not having a phone for some reason. So, for us, I thought this woukd be a better idea.

Could not get it to slide open with battery power. The bolt would slide partially and stop. Opened easily with key. Returned it.

Shipped with a crushed electrical connector making it inoperable. Had to travel to two stores to get a replacement unit. Beyond that, I am happy with the lock. Generally, simple to install. Works well.
