The product was easy enough for my Husband to install and it works great with my Ring Alarm system, which is why I purchased it. It looks nice and works well, however the button tend to stick a little bit but besides that, no issues
For whatever reason The turn peace shaft is180° out. This makes it impossible to install the deadbolt properly. Also miss matched screws used to assemble deadbolt itself. Please see photo.. I wonder if this lock is a returned item ?
I have installed other smart locks before from other brands, and the Kwikset was the easiest most straightforward installation. I am very happy with the look, and functionality. Works great with my Ring Alarm and Ring Alarm app.
This automatic electronic door deadbolt is both attractive and functional. The antique bronze finish is beautiful. Once the key code is entered, the lock has a motorized deadbolt that retracts. To lock, just push the lock button. Once inside, the deadbolt can be engaged manually with the pointed knob. I had a difficult time getting the lock screws between the 2 halves to line up, but persistence persevered. Unfortunately, my Z-Wave has issues and I cannot test the remote functionality just now.
Pros: Durable, Easy to Move, Good Size & Weight, Nice Design, Sturdy, Stylish
Once installed, we confirmed that we love this automatic code lock. It is beautiful and very well made. When leaving the house you just push a lock button and it locks. When returning, you put in a numerical pin and the door unlocks. When connected to a compatible smart home hub, you can run everything remotely from your phone. You can enter up to 30 user codes and a master code.
The mechanical portion of the installation went very smoothly. The existing holes could be used because there is an optional ring that gives you a choice of two hole diameters. The instructions are good. I love that they list all the parts with pictures and numbers in the first part of the installation manual, then they put the same numbers on the plastic packages for each part pack. This portion of the installation was completed in less than 10 minutes. My first hiccup occurred in Step 6 when it said, Add the lock to your smart home system. I do not have a smart home system. I decided to skip that step and do the setup to program the lock, add batteries and enter the first user code. I followed these instructions several times and it did not work. At that point I concluded that this lock could not be used without a smart home system. Thank goodness I decided to call the customer service desk anyway. After waiting for 25 minutes, I was connected to a service rep. The Rep was spectacular. He explained that I do not need the smart home system, but I could add one later if I wanted. He did a full reset, walked me through the setup steps and everything worked great. This software part of the installation took 1 hour. Some refinement to the installation manual can eliminate the long installation time. The crucial step in the installation is the step that first causes the lock to extend, retract, and get oriented to your mechanical installation. Without this completing correctly, nothing after that will work out. The way the words were written, it confused me as to how to, for sure, get that done. Once you goofed up one time, it is harder to recover. That is where the great service rep came in.
Overall, we rate the smart lock 5 stars. It is very convenient not to have to carry and keep up with a key. If connected to a smart home system, you can even remotely unlock the door and let someone into the house.

Z-wave smartcode 888 venetian Bronze Single Cylinder Dead bolt Featuring smartkey delivered in good condition and everything in it. I had a confusion about Hub. Because of I have no hub. In that case I can use for key-less option. From company replay that I cannot. Before I get company replay, I installed the lock without any hub connection and its work perfectly. I am using the lock as key-less. I set up 3 different code and all are working. Only the missing is smart-key feature. The lock looks good, nice apprentice and easy to install. For me I skip the instruction # 6 due to I have no Hub.

I just installed this electronic lock and so far I can see some real advantages. Since I don't have a smart home automation system to connect and control this lock, my application is only for its manual electronic lock capabilities (keyless push button entry and one button locking). I replaced an existing lock so the install consisted of just installing the lock in the existing holes and programming. It was a snap to install and the programming was as simple as following the instructions – I had to reset the lock back to factory settings because I didn’t follow the instructions the first time through. I set up four user codes which can be as few as 4 digits or up to 8 digits long. I had hoped that I could rekey the electronic lock’s physical key to the same as the key used for my old locks but unfortunately, the SmartKey feature only works with the popular KW1 type of key which mine is not. I really like the advantage of giving family members a four digit entry code rather than actual keys. A simple one button lock feature is all that is required when locking from the outside. Recommended as a standalone electronic lock or in combination with a home automation system.
