This is a very nice item— I installed it for a customer who uses a rascal– – that way she can lock and unlock it through her iPad – – first class and easy to install. She loves it!! Better security!!

Couldnt get keypad to work

It goes through batteries too often. I have to replace the four AA batteries every 3 weeks.

Lock & key not working, store wouldn’t allow return, because of combo, can’t return just 1 item. I have case # but haven’t heard from Kwikset

The lock kills batteries to quickly

Doesn’t work over an app you have to have a $100 hub to use it.

The handle and lock set were easy to install and setup. It works as described. The only negative is we cannot set up temporary codes for the lock.

Great lockset very satisfied… The app feature is great to make sure the door is locked.

This is a terrible lock. It only works about half of the time with the fingerprints you set up, demolishes batteries every couple of months with minimal use, and forces you to completely reset the lock occasionally because the software will just break. Run away, run far away!

We wanted to love this electric Bluetooth deadbolt - three of us worked on the set up of the lock after our contractor installed it. Not once did we get it to work and couldn't even reset it to the factory default setting to try again. If it's this complicated to set up, we decided it wasn't worth the time or money that we had already paid for the install. We returned it and got a regular deadbolt lock instead.

Love it!! Sleek look, Works great, Easy to use. This has made life so much easier for our family. No need to carry keys & we can keep track of our kids going in and out. Pair this with a ring alarm and you can see whose at the door & unlock it from your phone, no need to stop what your doing. Love that there's so many code slots available for friends, family, hired help ect. & you can set access times! Perfect for housekeeper, can give them the code and it only works on that day between those hours. I absolutely love it! Highly recommend.

Batteries wore out in two weeks…

Good intructions. Easy to follow. A little tricky if you're not familiar dealing with locks. But geat aesthetics once it's done and App is user friendly.

This is a very nice looking and good quality handleset at a great price. I am deducting a star because of a software/firmware flaw that keeps the deadbolt in the locked position if it senses a jam condition. Once this occurs there is no way to unlock the door via the app or the fingerprint sensor as both of these ways only function as a 'toggle' between locked and unlocked. When in the jam state the lock thinks it's unlocked so the when you engage the app or fingerprint sensor it only tries to continue to lock the deadbolt. This has already resulted in me being locked out a few times since I did not have the physical key at the time. In my case the jamming is being caused by the wood in my door expanding slightly due to weather/humidity from the rain so the deadbolt was touching the wood inside the strikeplate slightly causing it to sense a jam. I have removed some of the wood and that has fixed the issue until the next longer period of rain where the expanding was worse. I am hoping that an updated firmware/app will resolve this at some point in the future.

I sort of wish I could open the door, or close the door from anywhere however I would have to get a hub as well as the wi fi lock or spend an extra 100 dollars and that's not worth it. I like visually looking at the codes I set on the phone.i like the look mostly of the brushed silver lock but love the look of the handset better

Fingerprint sensor is very unreliable. Saved fingerprints don’t work after a few days, and I have to keep re-configuring my finger if I want it to keep working. I mainly keep it for the capability of remotely unlocking via phone. Material/finish quality is good though. I’m satisfied with the feel and sturdiness of the bottom handle.

Nice looking lock very convenient not using keys.
