    This was my first time installing a window unit and the process was not very complicated, the plastic accordion style seals seemed easy to break while attaching so I would advise installing those with care. I have been using this unit for about two weeks and have had no issues, it works well and is much quieter than expected. When selecting a window to place the air conditioner, the manual recommends a location that is not in direct sunlight, seems like an important detail that could easily be overlooked.

    LG 10,000btu just died
    I Purchased 2) LG 10,000 Btu window units. One works good the other just hasn't seemed right and then 16 days after putting in window it just died with Display on..... Tried resetting breaker on AC plug did not fix the problem.Tried unplugging it for a while,then plugging it back up did not fix the problem.Tried using the remote and tried just using the buttons on the AC and again Nothing will not come on,JUST DIED It's JULY and it's HOT and Spending the amount of money I have spent. Ridiculous!

      Be sure box is not damages
      This has happened twice with this unit. The box and packing material are not sufficient to protect the unit. What looks like a superficial tear to the box results in a crumpled unit on the inside

        Big waste of money
        Very poor performance does not cool to the temperature set at in a insulated room smaller that 350 sqft wish i had read the reviews before purchasing. My mistake but lg’s lost a customer for any future products if you can’t deliver a product that you advertise you should not be selling it.

          Powerful and High Quality LG Thinq AC
          Purchased in store nearby and could not be happier with our new air conditioner. My husband installed it in our living room, which is slightly larger than 350 square feet and the AC still cools the entire area down. Controls are easy and very simple remote. We still need to test the WiFi option. Installation was a little challenging. The instructions were a bit out of order but we figured it out. Slight struggle getting it into the window but it worked. Very quiet and lasting cool.

              Installed 2 fan didn't work
              Bought 1 had it installed because disabled and can't do it myself. $100.00 ,fan only blow on low. Return that got another one, installed it another $100.00 DONE SAME THING, FAN LOW SPEED ONLY, SPENT OVER 12 HOURS ON PHONE WITH HOME DEPOT AND LG , GOT NOTHING BUT RUN A ROUND

                Dead after 2 days.
                After taking the time to go through the installation process this product worked great FOR 1 DAY! Now it is completely dead and will not turn on regardless of what I do. There is power to the unit the built in breaker has been reset multiple time but the unit does not turn on! DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!

                  So far so good! Have been using this air conditioner for two weeks now it cools Great and my only complaint and it’s not really a complaint is it makes a good bit of noise when it cuts on and off.

                  Fan speed
                  Purchased the new LW 1022ERSM 10000 BTU smart window unit not very impressed does not cool 450 ft my LW 8016ER 8000 BTU unit seem to cool about 700 ft better than this unit for some reason the fan three speeds on high speed isn't very high I mean the app is very nice to have it does its job and works great I bought the 10,000 BTU unit because my old one was so I thought not working very well but it works better than the new one

                    Blows cold and breaker
                    It works on kitchen breaker but not living room breaker, living room breaker probably only rated for a lamp. This thing is huge. All of the 110 lbs as stated in specs must be correct,my 30 year old mind said yes 55 year old body was saying what are you doing lifting this tank. I should have went with the LG inverter model its 14000btu 599. But only 85 lbs. I'm a little concerned about the weight stress on vinyl windows, I propped it with a 2x4 outside to help support it.

                      The Little AC that Could!
                      I never write reviews but this window ac is incredible. Some of the pictures on the reviews show a different model (mine has the little holes across the front and not the more traditional-looking slats) so that could make a difference- but this thing has keep 700 sq feet cool and comfortable in 90+ degree heat in Boston for many days! It’s quiet and doesn’t run constantly to do an excellent job.

                        Does the trick.
                        Purchased this unit to cool my basement apartment. Yes it is heavy but i had my installed so I didn’t have to worry about how heavy it is. Blows coo, but it does take 30 mins to cook the entire apartment but we are in a heat wave in Brooklyn.

                          The LG window AC really does an excellent job of cooling down my entire first floor. It’s whisper quiet, even on High. The app works great, as does the remote. I have not yet used the voice assistant. I’m contemplating getting a second unit for upstairs. Highly recommend!

                            Have purchased 2 and both only work on low speed. As a result they barely cool a 150 square foot bedroom. Supposed to cool 700 square ft.
