[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had this refrigerator for a month and absolutely love it. The ease of changing settings is nice, and love the instaview window in the door. The different compartments are great for storing vegetables, fruit, cheese etc. Still learning all the features. Ice maker and ice dispenser are great as well.

Please stay away of this refrigerator, I got one on 11/9, the freezer is not working, I lost my food for 2 weeks and nobody is helping, LG and Home Depot doesn’t take care of costumers.

LG Model #LMXC23796S Purchased on November 30, 2017 and, on December 18, 2023, it died of the Linear Compressor Problem LG has settled many class action lawsuits over the past 10± years with several more in progress over the compressor issue. At this time, it would seem that LG would be wise to admit that there was a problem, settle with everyone, and move on. LG has and does produce some good electronics and appliances. They should manufacture what they are best at but not refrigeration

class action lawsuit regarding these compressors. mine dies just after the lawsuit closed but at five years. if you buy one of these make sure you have some kind of extra protection. the costs is extremely high and about half the cost of the refrigerator to get the compressor replaced. if I had known this I would never have purchased this appliance

Well constructed refrigerator, we have had it for a month now love it so far

We purchased this model in 2021 and since then the compressor has failed twice and both ice makers have fallen apart due to poor materials. When I say fallen apart I mean brittle cheap plastic breaking into little pieces for no good reason. The customer service rep I spoke with said they are only supposed to last a couple years and quoted me 163.00 for a replacement upper ice maker. Aside from the poor quality of build, the layout is awkward and capacity low. Buyer beware!

The refrigerator is great, except for the Craft Ice Maker. We bought this unit because of its size and the Craft Ice Feature. For those unfamiliar with LG's Craft Ice Maker, it produces ice balls in the freezer compartment. However, we have had the Craft Ice Maker replaced once and now it's not working again. We're awaiting LG service to check it. The unit also has through the door ice, crushed ice and water. In addition, it can automatically dispense water in a variety of quantities. A really nice feature is the convertible drawer that can be refrigerated or made a freezer compartment. We use as refrigerator space. The large size of this unit makes it very useful for a big family.

The installers failed to install the water filter. They left us an empty box so we didn’t discover this until months later. Very dishonest. Also didn’t remove tape and some packing. Last time we buy from HD!

We bought this refrigerator in November but had a long delivery delay so it did not show up until January. First thing, I love all things LG and why we decided to change out our refrigerator and range for LG. The upsides of this refrigerator are the capacity and storage space. However the shelves could be more adjustable because although spacious their relatively narrow height adjustment can be limited once you fill the convenience door with tall items. We end up laying some items on their side as the hideaway shelf provides a limited amount of extra tall storage space. The in door ice maker seems to have an under sized rotor arm so agitation of the ice is lacking. We dispense at least one full glass fail to keep the ice moving as well as rotating the ice maker bin all together. The craft ice dispenser worked regularly for one full week then quit. We have only had the refrigerator for three weeks and I have not had the chance to remove the lower drawer to access the reset button which was a recommended fix so the jury is out there.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this refrigerator about a month ago because my old one quit cooling in the refrigerator upper part. Freezer still kept things frozen. After researching and looking at different models, I decided to go with this LG and I'm glad I did. Works like a charm, very quiet, has more room in it than I originally thought. The craft ice feature is really nice. The look through door on the right side is terrific! I can open that part up and get out what I need without letting a lot of the cold air out. And the door cooling feature keeps everything in the doors the same temperature as the rest of the unit. The convertible drawer is a terrific feature as well. I keep meat and cheese in it now, but can turn it into a freezer compartment if I need more freezer space.

If you're looking for a new refrigerator, I highly recommend you check out this LG. You will not be disappointed.

Beware LG claims to warranty their compressor for 10 years but quoted me $631 flat fee for the labor to replace the compressor that failed before the 10 years. Basically they pay for the parts allegedly but take advantage of you with their offensively high "labor cost". If under warranty, it should fully be covered but it is not. SCAM!

Bought this LG because of the craft ice. Love it, like the knock on the door to turn on the light and the easy access with the frequently used item in the smaller door that opens out without opening the entire refrigerator.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've only had this refrigerator for a few weeks, but love it! Very quiet running with the linear compressor. I didn't think it would have as much room in it as my old one, but I was wrong. This thing holds a lot! The in the door ice maker and water dispenser are absolutely great! And the craft ice maker in the freezer drawer does a great job making those round ice balls! I'm glad I found this one after my old refrigerator quit cooling in the upper part. The view in door is also a great feature. I wasn't sure I was going to like it, but I sure do! Quick and easy to get things out that I most use without letting all the cold air out.

So far, so good! Have owned for about a month. Ice and craft ice are doing great. We use the external door more than we thought we would.

18 months in, has an internal freon leak. To repair would be so high, not even worth it if you can even find someone to do it. Takes a specialized repairman. Repairman said LG is one of the WORST brands well known for failing.... Boards, freon leaks. Has another customer with identical frig and it did exact same thing. "2nd" Craft ice maker is horrible too. Maybe one ball a day and noisy too... Warranty ran out in one year. So disappointed that I totally wasted $3500.

It arrived on January 4 but was not working properly because the delivery guys had to take the doors off to get it into our house & didn’t put them on right so it took a technician from LG to fix it. (One week later) Have not had any problems since, hope it stays that way, then I won’t have anything negative to say…. Like it so far !!!

Very happy with 30 cu ft refrigerator with dual ice makers

Fridge is great except it does not really have room for all your condiments;Be prepared to remove a shelf. Also have had an error “FF E” for a while. Support says to manually defrost for 7 hours. Thankfully I have a 2nd fridge for this. How over the error keeps returning. Support keeps “disconnecting “ but I will keep trying to get repairs. Fridge is not old at all. Outside all the issues, it’s nice.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this LG French Door refrigerator/freezer in March of 2023. Wife really loves the size and easy access. Very convenient to view high frequent items like milk, juice and eggs from the glass door. Craft ice is also great and the freezer makes it so easy to get items that are use frequently like ice cream and snacks. Definitely would buy it again.

Paid top dollar for this in July of 2020. 18 months later LG Kraft Icemaker makes a loud jack-hammer type noise for 10 or 15 seconds when it dumps the ice and was replaced (thank heaven I bought extended warranty). It lasted 18 months and has again started the same problem. If it dumps the ice in the middle of the night it sounds like an intruder is trying to break into the house. Awaiting for yet another replacement under extended warranty. I researched this and have found there is a class action lawsuit against LG for ignoring the ongoing issues with the Kraft icemaker over the years.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this refrigeratior for about 8 months. I am truely enjoying it. We moved from a smaller fridge to this much bigger model and it has been wonderful. Everything fits inside it!! The door in door feature is the best. You can just get out the milk and not have to worry about the entire unit cooling down. The "change filter" warning is another feature that my other machine didn't have, so being sure my filters are changed and up to date has been a welcome change. My only complaint is the cover over the Fresh Air Filter is difficult to remove. The first time I have to change that filter I broke the cover because I ended up using too much force on it. However, even thought one of the clips broke, it easily fit back in place.
