I live in a Mobile Home, and never feel it running even when washing throw rugs. I tell everyone about my LG!

Mind of it’s own

We have had to reboot the house a few times and unplug the machine several times and still it doesn’t want to work. We have been trying to get a replacement now for more than 4 months.

Good washer, occasional issues
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had his about 2 years now. At first, no issues. Now that it’s a few years old, I have occasional issues including needing a “reset”. The computer functions are irritating for that reason. It’s good enough.

Worst piece of CRAP!
I've had nothing but problems. Within months of purchasing it started to make a metal clanking noise while agitating. I had the clutch assembly replaced which never fixed it. Now, a year later , the agitator plate threads stripped. I have been without a washer for a week. Do not buy any LG washers!

LOVE THIS WASHER

It has a large wash tub that is very deep. So if your short you will need a foot stool to reach the bottom of the tub while emptying washer. But i still LOVE it. I feel my clothes are very clean after washing.

Started to have issues just after 1 year , i had to reset it so many times until it finaly give up, with no extended warranty have to pay yourself, who would have thought you will have issues with over 1 year after you bought it.

I purchased this washer 2 years ago. I finally had enough and called the repairman. He said there was no issue-that the washer is programmed to do what it is doing. The washer does not add enough water to even cover the clothes. I start it and then stop and restart after it fills just to increase the amount of water to wash the load. If I don’t portions of the load don’t even get wet. I have used the water plus feature but it doesn’t add enough water to cover the load. Also when the washer is in the sensing stage even if I have selected to low spin cycle it spins my blouses like crazy before even adding water! Between these two issues it has damaged 3 blouses and wrinkles my no iron clothes terribly.
DO NOT BUY THIS WASHER. You will be very disappointed.

HORRIBLE SMELL NOT EVEN 3YO
Had this washer since 2017. The mold smell is awful. The whole house smells. We have done everything recommended..ran tub clean at least 10 times with washer cleaner,vinegar, and bleach. Nothing helps. What are we suppose to do..buy a new washer? please LG step up!!!

No cycle washes on hot except bedding
The only cycle that I can get to wash on hot water is bedding. No other cycle will dispense hot water. Customer service representative hung up on me today they were absolutely RUDE!

Too Difficult to Get Clean Clothes
Have had this washer for 2-1/2 years. Very mediocre performance. I would rather have a traditional washer with an agitator and ability to select the water level. This LG washer uses the new auto sensing technology (weighs your clothes, decides amount of water) and does not have an agitator. I find it difficult to use and the cleaning results are mixed at best. Especially when it comes to whites. Yes, it has a huge tub (but if you're short, as others have said, it will be a stretch reaching to the bottom to get the clothes), and it's a handsome machine with a nice glass top that lets you see what's going on inside the tub. And it is indeed very quiet and no spinning out of balance. But, like all of these HE machines, it's more focused on minimal water usage than on actually getting your clothes clean. (I'm talking in particular about undergarments, which easily get soiled and need extra good cleaning.) So be prepared to spend a fair amount of time reading the instructions and then trying various cycle & load-size combinations to get the right mix for cleaning your clothes. I find myself using heavy duty, hot water temperature, with extra water for a mid-size load of whites (which, incidentally, takes 90 minutes). I'm also skeptical that using this type of HE machine is any better for the environment because you end up having to use a very long cycle (or multiple cycles in succession) to get the results you want, so where's the water or energy savings? Bottom line, it shouldn't be necessary to go through all of this just to wash your clothes.

My washer dispenses hot water or warm water and then switches to cold water ant than when the cycle starts washing the clothes the water is cold. Had a repair guy to check on it and he said the inlet valves are working. He said it is probably the control panel. I need to know what part I need to order the fix this issue.

Geez... wonder why this model is discontinued
This washer leaked water since the day it was delivered. About every 3-5 loads, the washer will leak approximately 1/4 to 1/2 cup of water onto the floor. The puddle is always in the same area... left front. We've had 5 service calls - no fix yet. Getting ready to put in a warranty claim that it's a lemon.

takes forever to complete a load, Slow to fill
We bought this machine in 2017 after having the exploding Samsung. Thought this washer was the answer. No ! I agree with other reviews of it leaving a white residue which I found if I program the cycle with the " Water Plus" feature this is much improved. The problem that for the first 30 seconds it fills robustly with water at the beginning of a cycle, then you hear a mechanical "click" and the water changes to a trickle. Takes forever to fill and usually the "IE" error code is activated. It's not the filter, so what could be causing this? Not a happy LG washer owner.

When you load a HE top load washer, do not pile the clothes in the center. Evenly distribute the dirty clothes around the edges of the wash plate. Horrible
Simply doesn't clean clothes. Pretreated stains that used to come out, now require 2-3 washes. We follow the recommendations I asked people in our area on the Nextdoor social media site. HE comments were overwhelming negative for all HE design washers without a central agitator. The most common recommendation was go back to central agitator. This design is a bust. Put the central agitator back.

Clothes not clean
My kids wear a lot of dri fit clothes that I was by themselves. All the black sweatshirts and sweatpants come out with white residue. I often have to wash at least 2 times. These clothes aren’t even that dirty. I don’t understand. I try to run empty cycle or use a cleaner nothing seems to work. Any ideas ?? Only like 2 years old but don’t know how much longer I can take this.
