We bought this as a supplement for our central AC system when that one temporarily went out of service. We used it until the central unit was repaired, and it performed admirably, even though it didn't have the capacity to cool the area for which it was intended (but we knew that anyway). Would definitely recommend for a space of no more than 250 sq ft.

Good AC, just one thing I'd change.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The air conditioner works fine. The only thing I would change about it is that when the timer is set, the default goes to the energy saving mode which I don't like. I need the fan to be constant in order to sleep, so I always have to change the mode to cool each time.

Great new design
We replaced a LG 6000 Ac unit that we purchased 12 years ago. I was shocked that the unit lasted 12 years. The new one is quieter and more efficient due to the new design where the cooled air goes up instead of directly at you. Great new design.

6000 BTU Window AC
I bought one of these to replace my living room ac and loved it so much I bought another to replace one in another room. The vent blows upward, not out so it cools the room faster. For the price, this is a great little unit!

Very surprised at how effective this unit is given its size. My Central HVAC went out, and we used this and one other window unit to keep the house cool, and boy did it keep it cool, these two window units kept it cooler than the old HVAC did on a good day.

Terrible Unit
This is the first 6000 BTU unit i have had that did not cool the room.
I need two fans with the unit on.
extremely disappointed in this and will never go to LG again

Weird mounting system
Weird mounting system. I don’t know what type of perfect-world window they envision this going into but if you don’t have brand new ones it’s going to be a 6hr custom carpentry job w/ multiple trips back to home depot. Will be returning.
