Good and easy to clean the top stove!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this four years ago! Four years for owning the LG is absolutely beautiful easy to clean but with four years i already called technician 2 times first problem was the big stove burned down got fix within 10 days, and recently last year November 2020 the Self cleaning blow off the fuse can’t open my stove can’t cook for two weeks, the technician was very unfriendly! It was fix again... hopefully this LG high tech electric stove will last me longer! I loved it very easy to clean!

    Love this oven
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this in time for Christmas dinner. I love all the features, it’s so easy to use. My only issue is the knobs in the front, I’ve accidentally turned my burners up or down by leaning over the stove.

            Fire hazard!
Do NOT buy this oven! The controls for the stovetop are waist high and very sensitive. We have unintenionally turned on burners by walking past the stove too closely, or by reaching over the stove to use the microwave are get to the cabinet. This caused a small fire a few days ago that melted the microwave, a countertop water dispenser, and burned a countertop and cabinet. Luckily my wife was able to extinguish the fire quickly. This is a dangerous design flaw.

Beautiful unit still learning how to use the convection unit....
Beautiful unit still learning how to use the convection unit. Purchased specifically with dials in front due to reaching difficulties. Would not recommend this unit for a house with children because the dials are easy to turn on accidentally. Perfect for us just not for everyone. It could be for all house holds if the dials had to be engaged before they could be turned on.

              Love it!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been wanting a double oven range for a long time. My old range finally stopped working, and I'm so glad that we made the choice to get this one. I love all the features, especially how quickly it heats up, and having the convection choice, which I've never had before

                Fire hazard
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The knobs on the front turn so easy, my daughter brushed up against one while walking by, didn't know it and my kitchen caught fire! This has happened more than once, I'm usually in the kitchen and can catch it when it happens... this night my husband was home and didn't see it till the smoke alarm went off.

                  Awesome double oven
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this LG double oven a couple weeks ago, and simply love it. The burners on the stove heat up almost instantly, and the oven heats up so much faster than the other one we had. We bought the black stainless steel. It has a ton of features, one of my favorite is it plays a little song when you turn it on, and when it is done cooking, our other oven just beeped a couple of times

Fast Heating, Plenty of Baking Space, Adjustable Burners, Looks Great
When looking for a new oven, you want top quality and accurate baking. This double oven by LG offers just that and more. Note, if you are installing this yourself, you will need either a three prong or four prong 220V appliance cord depending on your receptacle behind the oven. The oven sets up easy and all the controls are intuitive. After the break in period (to cook off any paint odors as the manual states) using the oven becomes second nature. Range Top: The cook top has five burners, four cooking burners and one warming burner. The two front burners are adjustable in size to fit your pot perfectly. The front left burner is the ultra heat burner and will boil water quickly. In all cases the burners were hot and ready within seconds of turning the knob. All burner knobs are on the front of the range top, for easy access. The smooth glass range top makes for easy cleaning. Ovens: You get one regular bake oven on the top and a convection/regular bake oven on the bottom. Three oven racks are included. The top oven is the smaller of the two but can still fit roasts, ham, bread, rolls, etc. The bottom oven is larger and can fit a huge turkey or anything else you can think of. It also is the convection oven or you can turn the convection fan off an use it as a regular oven. Both ovens heat quickly and hold steady temps. The interior of both is painted a bright blue and has strong lights inside that are activated when the dor open or by switch on the control panel. Their interior temps can be set independently of course. Control Panel: The control panel is all a smooth touch type and the buttons are large and easy to read. It takes seconds to learn how they work and learning to operate each oven is fast and simple. Each oven has it's own control panel buttons and can be set independently with temps, timers and start and stop times. We have made beef and pork roasts, buns, rolls, cookies and brownies and a lasagna so far and all have been perfect. The temp settings are dead on and it holds the temp perfectly. We really like the convection oven for pizza and lasagna, it crisps the crust and cheese perfectly. Overall this is a well made range and is so easy to use. Double ovens are extremely handy, you are always finding a reason to use both. I'd highly recommend it.

                      Great Kitchen Upgrade
This stove is a dream for anyone who does a lot of cooking. The obvious benefits are being able to bake two different dishes at the same time at different temperatures with one being a confection oven. However, there are also some secondary benefits that make it practical for the casual cook as well. For starters, having two smaller ovens instead of one large one means that it heats up much faster. My old oven took just over 9 minutes to preheat to 350 degrees. On this LG oven, the top preheats to 350 in just 5 minutes and 15 seconds, and the bottom in 8 minutes flat. Same with the stovetop – my old oven could bring 6 quarts of water to a rolling boil in 7 minutes and 30 seconds. This LG oven can do the same a full minute faster. If you’re like me and cook dinner after work most days, the faster preheat and boil times are a convenience you’ll appreciate every night. I also enjoy that the oven displays the current temperature while it’s preheating, so you know when you’re getting close. As for performance, this oven has yet to disappoint. I’ve used both the top and bottom ovens numerous times with excellent results. The convection oven works flawlessly - I’ve used it to bake cookies and both racks turned out perfectly (I use the convection conversion setting). I like having the stovetop controls on the front, both for convenience, safety and appearance. It’s great not to have to reach over a boiling pot to turn off the eye; however, it is possible to inadvertently adjust the temperature if you bump into it from the side. I’ve only done that once, and I immediately realized the knob had turned, but it’s something to be aware of. As for appearance, this appliance really looks high end. The stainless steel smudges, but nothing more than is to be expected. Just buy a tube of stainless steel wipes and you’ll be good to go. Bottom line, if you’re in market for a double oven, just do it – you’ll never want to go back to a standard stove, and this one from LG has won’t disappoint.

Nice looking, great controls, easy to use, fantastic convection...but a very LOW oven...
This is an excellent convection oven. The convection works very well and does a superb job. This is our third convection oven and it is the best we have used so far. Cooking normal day to meals and dishes is good as the convection is faster and very even. But baking is the place where the convection - particularly in this stove - really shined. Cookies and brownies cooked very evenly and had no burnt edges. Two trays of cookies, one on each rack, both cooked evenly and looked like they were from the same tray. We have been very pleased with baked results. The controls are very easy to use and well marked. The panel is all touch and quite sensitive. There is no need to push hard, and sometimes the touch controls are too sensitive. However, it's easy to start the oven, set the timer, clear settings and make adjustments. The oven preheats very fast - again, faster than my old oven. It took about seven minutes to preheat the oven to 425 degrees (400 degrees on convection). It auto adjusts temperatures to convection temps, dropping the temp to 400 from 425, etc. The ceramic is nice, but it gets marked up easily by pots and pans. The marks wipe off and can be cleaned with ceramic top cleaner, but I have never had a ceramic top that gets white marks on it when a pot is dragged across it. The oven is blue inside, which is both attrative and a bit brighter when looking at dishes cooking inside. The one big negative with the stove is the arrangement of the two ovens and the low bottom oven. The bottom oven is the larger oven with two racks, and the convection oven. The top is a traditional oven - no convection - with only one rack. It's nice to have two ovens so that we can cook different things at different temps, but I wish the convection oven - the larger oven - was on top. It is a long way down to place things in the oven and to take things out. You have to hunker or squat all the way to the floor in order to see in the oven, and it can be heavy to pick things up from so low to the floor. We are not pleased with that aspect of the oven, and it's becoming a problem, despite how great the rest of the stove is.

                      Wow, just awesome
As soon as the stove was in place the whole kitchen looked refreshed and modernized. It is amazing what going from a fairly standard 8 year old white appliance to this very sleek and modern looking stainless model can do to the overall look of the kitchen. There are a total of 5 heating areas on the stove top. One is a "ultra heat" burner, which is essentially a double element to quickly heat things up. There is an oversized heating element which is superb for our large canning pans. Two regular sized burners, and another area designated as a "warming area". Given that the stove has the exact same footprint as our old 4 burner stove, this is an awesome use of space. This stove uses radiant heat, which means you do not need to use special pans with copper bases like you would with a induction type. I really had no inclination to replace all our pans. The flat burner surface makes cleanup super fast and simple. No more removing wire elements to clean underneath them - just a quick wipe over with a cloth is all that is needed. The elements heat up instantaneously. The stove has two ovens, yes two! Both have convection to ensure even cooking. A slightly smaller one for every day use and a larger lower one for catering for bigger events. Instead of heating up a large oven, you can use them much more efficiently. You can also set them at different temperatures to prepare multiple dishes at once. Storage below the oven is sacrificed for this, but in my opinion it is well worth the trade off. The inside of the oven is a very pleasing electric blue enamel color. That in its own got some "oohs" and "ahhhs" from those that saw it, Like all modern ranges it has a clock, timer, delay start etc. A super fast 3 hour self cleaning mode ensures the ovens are always immaculate and ready for inspection by even the most finicky in-law. When the stove was delivered and installed, they helpfully hauled away the old one.

                      This is a quality appliance!
I was granted the opportunity to test out the LG range and was very curious about the convection oven feature. Our old stove had two ovens (quite handy, we love that setup!) but convection cooking is new to us. I delayed writing this review until I felt we had used the stove enough to give an accurate report. We followed the instructions in the owner's manual and ran the ovens for an hour to remove any residual manufacturer's coating, but noticed no real odor coming from the stove. The oven racks also need to be cleaned (washed, not baked in the oven) to remove any manufacturer's coating before the first use. Fit and finish of the stove are fine. No mars or scrapes, sharp edges, etc. The back of the stove (measured at the top) sits 1 3/4 inches from the wall. The front of the stove comes to 29 inches from the wall (measured at the bottom oven handle). Our "stove alcove" is 30.5 inches wide and the stove fits nicely with perhaps 1/4 inch clearance on each side. (Measurements approximate; you can get updated stove specifications from the web site). An anti-tip device bolts into the wall at the bottom right rear of the stove and the stove slides into position over the device. This is to help children (or careless adults, I suppose) from standing or climbing on the stove and tipping it over frontwards. We are operating the stove on a standard 240v 40a circuit with a three wire connector; some areas require a four wire connector and the stove is equipped to handle that setup too. We did opt for a new cord; I believe that is highly recommended by Home Depot for installation. YMMV, check with your Home Depot sales associate. The controls for the ovens (top and bottom) are on a rear panel and are touch enabled (see photo below). The burner controls (the stove has five burners) are at the front of the stove and are the traditional twist dials (see photo). There are warning lights to show that burners are on and that the stovetop is hot. The warning lights do not, unlike our previous stovetop, show exactly which burners are hot, just that the top is hot. Both ovens have glass doors and are lighted, controlled by a touch control on the rear panel. The oven light does a nice job, in each oven, of giving good views of the baking process. The top oven hosts one oven rack, while the bottom oven is large enough for two racks (all three racks are included with the stove). An oven pan (one of those gadgets with a top slotted piece and a drip pan underneath it) is not included with the stove, but is available (see the owner's manual). An oven pan may be a good idea; it should be noted that lining the oven floor or racks with tin foil or other such liners is to be avoided. Read the owner's manual for details. The oven doors require a firm pull, much stiffer than our previous stove. There is a feel of "solidness" about the entire appliance. Even the twist knobs for the burners are of a good size. Everyone who has seen the LG stove has commented on the “pro” look of the design. The brushed stainless steel finish does lend itself to finger marks and such, but are easily cleaned. Cleaning the glass top of the stove is simple, see the owner's manual for special tips. A small bottle of cleaning fluid is included with the stove. The stovetop surface itself is recessed a bit below the sides and rear and front, so any minor spills won't run down the sides of the stove. Very nice touch, that. It's not a big recess, but if you look you can see it. The ovens have two cleaning cycles: One is a "Light Cleaning" in which water is sprayed (a spray bottle is included with the stove) on all oven surfaces and then the process is initiated by touching the correct button on the control panel. This process takes about 10 minutes and the oven, once cooled, is to be wiped down with a cloth to remove any residue. The other cycle is a regular "Deep Cleaning" in which case the ovens heat to a very high temperature and the soil literally turns to ash. Both methods are effective. The bottom oven is the convection oven, although it can also be used for 'regular' cooking. (See photo of control panel below). "Convection" is set as the default selection. If you open the bottom oven door, you'll see that there is no conventional heating element on the oven floor - the heat source comes from the back wall of the oven. Stovetop cooking: There are five burners, two large in the front and three smaller ones in the back. The center small burner is for keeping things warm (see knob photo); it doesn't cook things per se, but is handy for keeping a pan warm without burning the contents or tying up a regular burner. Our previous stove didn't offer that feature and I think it's a nice touch from LG. There are various settings for warmth; check the owner's manual to see what will work best for you. The other four burners work as standard burners do. The two front burners have two 'rings' of heat; you can decide to use just the inner ring (for smaller pots) or both rings (for larger pots) by setting the control knobs to the desired setting. My wife noted that the stovetop knobs are easy to turn, and are within easy reach of children. There is no audible 'beep' or alarm when the knobs are turned; however, you must push in on the knob a bit before it will turn. Those owners with small children might want to keep an eye on things. Oven cooking: The top oven is a conventional oven with the heating element in the floor of the oven. It works well and offers no real surprises. We use the smaller oven the most because we tend to cook smaller meals and the smaller oven is convenient for a couple of chops. It works well and we have no complaints. The bottom oven is, of course, the killer feature of this stove. Convection cooking allows the cooking time to be cut by as much as a quarter of the "regular" oven time, or the temperature may be decreased by 25 degrees or so over "regular" oven temperatures. Much depends on what you're baking and what type of pan or tray you're using. Since air flow is critical pans with lower sides allow for faster cooking times. One caveat - if you need to change the temperature you set on the oven you'll need to press "Clear" on the control panel first and then reset the temperature. If you are new to convection cooking, as we are, expect a learning curve - although not a steep one. We haven't ruined a meal but we have kept a close eye on things being baked in the convection oven. Expect some trial and error. The convection process moves heated air all around the food so there are fewer (if any) hot/cold spots as are in a conventional oven. Food cooks more evenly and faster. On the first use my wife made of the stove she put a lamb shank on the upper tray of the lower oven and a whole chicken on the lower rack and cook them simultaneously using convection cooking. She used the time / temperature settings recommended. The lamb shank was done first and was perfectly cooked. The chicken took a bit longer but was worth the wait - the skin was crisp and the meat was moist and tender without being undercooked. Both dishes took less time and a lower temperature than our old stove would have needed. There are any number of helpful websites and cookbooks available for using convection ovens, and of course reading the owner's manual is highly recommended, at least in my opinion. I've read that convection ovens can use up to 20% less energy than a conventional oven due to the efficiency of the convection baking process. I haven't noticed a decrease in our electric usage but we have so many other items running that bill through the roof that I didn't expect to. For one thing since the stove is a new toy we're using it more than we did our old one just to get the hang of the thing. Given the features, construction, and market price of the LG stove I'm giving this a 'recommended' rating of 5 stars. We haven't noticed a single down check with this thing (yet) and, after looking at the competition's offerings and market prices, it seems to be a fair bang for the buck. Again - expect a learning curve with the convection cooking process and by all means read the owner's manual to get the most out of the appliance. HTH Regards, Jim

                      A Baker Mom's Dream
I was so excited when we received this electric double convection oven. At first I was a little nervous. As a mom of 2 young kids, the double doors and knobs on the front of the range seemed like a safety concern for small kids. However, the range has a brilliant locking feature that locks both doors and all the knobs on the front when not in use. That feature alone gives me such peace of mind. On to the features. There are far too many to highlight in one review. The top oven has one rack and will definitely replace our toaster oven (hooray for more counter space). It's perfect for making smaller portions (like chicken nuggets for the boys), while I can make the grown up dinner in the bottom oven! The controls are intuitive and easy to use. You will definitely want to read the manual to discover all it has to offer. My favorite features: shorter preheating and cooking times. The top oven preheated to 350 degrees in less than 6 minutes. The purple/blue inside of the ovens aids in convection, but it looks super cool, too. The cooktop features a rapid boil burner (a definite must have for any busy mom). It also features a warming zone burner (perfect for when everything is ready at different times). I am still discovering all this oven has to offer me, but I couldn't be more impressed.

Good stove but some cheap features.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The stove top dials turn on too easily; barely bumped into one and the burner came, almost burned my hand. The gap between the glass top and the flimsy stainless steel panel with knobs catches debris and not easy to clean. Other than that we like the to stove.

Beware of this style of stove! Burner knobs are easy to bump and turn on stove! I would not recommend this type of set up on the stove for safety reasons! The stove/ovens are great, but at the risk of a house fire…it is just a prime source for losing your home!!
