[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We just moved our home and purchased this washer & Dryer set and it has been super, it dries large loads, sheets, pillow cases, towels in very large amounts. It cut our wash /dry time by at least 35% compared to what we had.

On 3 separate occasions our start button and power button would not work.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this dryer to replace my approximately 14 year old LG gas dryer. The old dryer actually worked quite well I thought, but I was replacing the washer so I decided to get the set. The new dryer, in addition to having more features such as steam dry, has performed beyond my expectations. We've not used the steam drying function yet, but my wife is looking forward to using it for wrinkle control This machine dries quicker than my previous LG and does not require re-drying as the old dryer did on occasion. I vacillated on getting this larger size, but I'm glad I did. It has a slightly larger footprint, but not noticeably so.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We’ve had this for close to a month now. Got the washer/dryer set and they’re beautiful. The sensor settings don’t seem to sense the dampness very well because the clothes are always still wet. Seriously, every time they’re still wet. Even when I change it to very dry. Now I just set it on time dry to avoid the sensor. Also not a fan of the lint filter. It’s not very easy to clean out but I’m sure it does a great job of keeping the lint out of the dryer vent. I love the fact that the door opens two ways but it takes some trial and error. So far only a sock was sacrificed by getting pinched in the hamper style way of opening. It was so stuck that I couldn’t open it the conventional way and had to rip it out. Luckily it was only a sock. The hamper style works well for loading the dryer and conventional works best for unloading. Overall, still glad we purchased this one but what’s up with the sensor settings.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Brought recently, so I haven't tried many cycles. I like the results I've had so far. I bought the dryer & matching washer at close-out sale, out of box, as is. The lid was broken, so we got repairman to order the parts to fix it. The screws are plastic & have snapped again. We've spent over $100. The tray that lid covers is not involved with operation of dryer, so we will not purchase a new one. If our lid isn't defective, than type of screws need improvement. The washer & dryer are superior to any we've used.

Clothes come out wrinkled..I’ve played around with different cycles..which are complicated descriptions..(normal cycle is described as work clothes and corduroys..??) still wrinkled. I’m alwAys confused as to what cycle to choose.. I .thought the door opening both ways was a good feature however when opening it down.. to get clothes out it’s not very convenient..good idea but should be able to open all the way..light in dryer? Not necessary..can’t leave door open without the light..also the filter has a rubber band around it..lint sticks to it..can never get vent cleaned. Sorry we spent this money for this dryer!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the matching dryer for my wife because the drier she had just took to long to dry the cloths, the new dryer has a huge drum that gives the cloths plenty of room to more around and dry quickly.

We just purchased this dryer to go with our LG 5.2 cu. ft. washer. The door opens both down and from the side and works well for loading and unloading. It dries quickly and is better suited to the large wash loads. The steam feature is not usable right now. Home Depot delivered and set up the dryer but never mentioned that it need to be connected to the water supply and did not connect it. That still needs to be done. My last dryer had a reservoir that could be filled with water by hand to use the steam function so this was a surprise found when I was looking for the reservoir on the new dryer and could find none. So far very happy with this dryer! The final verdict will take some time to try different types of loads.

Bought this as a Christmas surprise. My wife loves it. She especially likes the multitudes of different settings. The two-way door is a great convenience.

I have only had it for a couple of weeks, but I love it!!

Dryer does a very good job. We have had it just a bit over a month; there is an issue with pushing the start button, extra effort to get it to start. LG service is suspect. Sent issue through our account, received call back 3 days later, did not receive case # by email as promised by CSR, no call from service at this time, either. Does a very good job at drying a large load, 9.0 model, which we purchased with a 5.7 washer. At this time we are overall satisfied with purchase.

Waiting for installation person to change dryer door to open to the left side, currently opens to the right which is inconvenient for my laundry area.

I bought a bigger washer and dryer to cut down housework. Man does it help. This dryer wrinkles a bit more than we would like.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this about 2 weeks with the matching dryer. Everything works well, and is quiet, however the pre-programmed wash types are a little confusing. They aren't explained at all. for example there is one called Towels. It automatically sets the water temp, and spin cycle, but it's still unclear.

The dryer is great. The installation was terrible. I was charged for installation but they said they could not touch the cold water hose. How are you going to connect it then. I was charged for a solid exhaust hose. They said it did not fit and took it with them. I guess to sell somewhere. Instead of at least hooking the cold water hose to the bottom of the dryer where it goes and leaving it so i could hook it up. They pushed the dryer in and left. Very poor service. I was not here so i guess they took advantage of my wife being the only one here.

Unit is quiet and it dries our clothes very efficiently. We have only had for several weeks but so far so good.

This has not been my experience with LG products. High-end features, cycle flexibility, outstanding capacity and quiet operation have been my experience with this LG dryer. I would highly recommend this product.

Love this machine.

I absolutely love everything about this dryer. I can’t say enough about it. It’s huge. I can dry an entire king bed set in one cycle. Being able to open the door in both directions is very convenient. The lint trap is a bit annoying and messy but not nearly enough to take away a star. Love it!

So far, two weeks, the dryer is great. I bought the largest capacity LG washer a few years ago on the market, but didn't need a dryer then. My Samsung died recently so I bought the largest capacity dryer LG had to go with my washer. It drys very quickly because the air can circulate easier with large loads. I gave it 4 stars so far, because the pre-set dryer selections are a bit difficult to navigate. I like to do some loads on low temperature, short time so they don't shrink, and I can't find a pre- set dryer selection like that so I've been manually setting temperature and time each load, which is time consuming. Hopefully just a learning curve. I'm looking forward to washing comforters and larger loads AND being able to dry them now without having to take them out of the dryer part way through the cycle and flipping them around or laying them out somewhere to dry entirely!

One of the best features is the door that opens two ways - from the top or from the side. It makes loading clothes from the washer so much easier.

We bought this dryer with the matching top load washer. We noticed immediately that clothes were coming out wrinkled EVERY load. I got on internet and read up thinking we were doing something wrong. Tried everything suggested to no avail.called Home Depot they would not let me return them after 3 days we had them less than a week.(done with Home Depot) called lg they sent out repair man...said dryer was fine but clothes were still wrinkled.....called lg back and said problem was still there so they sent out Wright appliance they said sensor was only working on manual mode....and finally got it working....took couple of weeks. Done with Home Depot they were absolutely no help
