We just received it, the drum is shaking and it’s pushing the door. It seems like the machine is not a new one like it should be.

Great washer. Cleans well. Controls Vibration well. Sound loudness is good and better than our previous LG washer. We like the happy tones it makes when the loads are done. Being able to put larger loads into the washer is great. We chose not to have a floor pedestal below to put cabinets above it. Only gave it a 4 out of 5 stars because the water in the door does not fully drain out so when you open the door it drips out a small amount of water every time after use. It does not leak while operating.
I am very happy with this dryer. I purchased it to pair the washing machine since these appliances are visible from my kitchen. Although, I have only had this for a few weeks, I'm very satisfied with my purchase thus far.
Works great for me! So happy I got the 29" LG WM8100HVA & DLEX8100V set. I got the WD200CV Sidekick & WDP5V pedestal drawer to match. I purchased this set to replace an old Kenmore top load set we purchased in 2002. What a huge difference! Wish I would’ve done it sooner… amazing at how much better this unit dries my clothes and larger items (like blankets and washable rugs)! Everything dries faster than it did in my old set and I usually set this unit on medium and that is more than enough heat to dry a large load is less than an hour (keep in mind the more heat, the more electric it will use so you’ll see it in your energy bill). Before I was having to run the old Kenmore dryer on high for 1-1/2 to 2 cycles of 70 min to get a larger load dry. This new unit has saved me so much time, and it’s definitely much easier on the clothes being on a slightly lower temp and being in there for less time. I’ve had the set for just over 6 months and no issues at all with dryer sheets sticking to the vent, or rust on the surface inside the unit. It really is a great dryer! Does really well on energy efficiency as well, hardly effects my usage at all which is awesome so it doesn’t make my electric bill go thru the roof.
As for the steam function, I purchased this not realizing this wasn’t the same model I was expecting, and it wasn’t going to be plumbed in with the washer set. It’s a manual feature with a water tray drawer next to the control panel. It works fine really, but can be tedious if you have to add more water while using it. I did it with a couple non-washable rugs, and they came out beautifully refreshed so it functioned how it was meant to. I just had to add water a couple of times. Maybe cause it was the first time I added water to the machine? Either way for the minimal use of the steam feature, I’m OK with having to do that. All in all, it’s a solid unit and I would highly recommend it! If I had to buy again, I would choose this model in a heartbeat!
Works great for me! So happy I got the 29" LG WM8100HVA & DLEX8100V set. I got the WD200CV Sidekick & WDP5V pedestal drawer to match. I purchased this set to replace an old Kenmore top load set we purchased in 2002. What a huge difference! Wish I would’ve done it sooner… amazing at how much better it cleans. My clothes are coming out cleaner, and old stains were disappearing! Even the weaves were coming back to life in a lot of the clothing and towels we had. I have also NOT had one single problem with my Tide Pods or Clorox 2 pods dissolving and rinsing through well. I was on the fence with the high efficient/less water idea, and was very nervous about it properly cleaning items and getting all the soap dissolved and rinsed through properly. This one will auto sense the size and weight of what you’ve put in the washer. There is plenty of water added throughout the cycle and the washer knows just how much to add. This front loaders adds water throughout the cycle, just not ahead of time like a top loader would. My mom has a newer high efficient competitor brand top loader and hers always get gummed up with soap pods not dissolving with heavier bulky items like blankets, and hers doesn’t ever get enough water in the drum or move around enough to agitate the load because there’s no agitator in it. Also her top loader locks immediately so she can never add anything after she starts it so if something happens she has to start all over… she hates it! The front loaders definitely work much better with the water efficiency because they constantly tumble and move the clothing around while constantly adding water. What I like about this model, is that I can open it during the cycle with the Add Garment feature, or I just hit pause and open it… if it’s on a cycle with a little more water in the tub, it will drain a little to allow the door to be opened and then add more water when you close it back up. Another plus is that the machine stays cleaner and I don’t get the soap/softener residue I used to always have in my top loader. One other note, I had an extremely soiled load after some concrete work was done at our new house, and I was worried about something getting gummed up, so I washed the washer on the Tub Clean cycle with Tide Washing Machine Cleaner… wow is that awesome! It’s a long cycle (over 2 hrs) and it uses hot water, but it works like a charm and it actually fills the machine up with water and cleans it up like a dream! Never knew what Tub Clean really was until I did it with this machine! Don’t try to use it for clothes washing though, it’s definitely not a wash cycle for clothes for sure. The machine actually fills right up with water when it’s doing it and it gets pretty intense on agitation.
If you’re new to the front loader world, this is definitely a great unit to get! I did a lot of research for a few months because I wanted one brand for a whole house appliance package purchase for the new house, and I am glad with the decision I made going with LG! Honestly they were the only brand with higher reviews on functionality and reliability than anyone else I could find. Highly recommend!
Note: I read a trick from another reviewer and it was the best advice ever being a new front load user… make sure you wipe out the inside of the flexible door seal and around the drum trim after you’re done washing (I wipe off the door to). Also note that the door on this machine has a magnet so that you can keep it cracked a smidge for air to dry out properly. You never want to completely shut the door or you will have mildew issues. I just keep a separate washcloth hanging nearby for this purpose and it literally takes me few extra seconds to do after I’m done using it. I’ve had the set for just over 6 months and no issues at all with smells or mildew.
I purchased this dryer more than a month ago and am still learning how many chores it can actually do! Aesthetically, it is beautiful and the perfect matching partner for my beautiful new washer! It dries my clothing in one third the time and steams the wrinkles out of my shirts and fluffs flattened already dry items including sweaters and blankets! How did I survive without this?
