I have had this dish washer for a almost a year, I cannot count the frustrations I have had with it. In order for it to run it has to be perfectly level. If you run out of rinse aid it won't run and will throw an error code. If the power goes off unexpectedly and then comes back on it will throw an error code and I have to reset the thing again. The filter clogs and you have to stay on top of that or you will get an error code. If you dont shut the door just right, it will not start. Today, I got a new error code saying I have a leak some place. If you put to much soap in it you will get an error code. Every time you get an error code you have to flip the breaker to reset the dish washer. The top screen is cracking over the power button. Never ever again in my life will I buy an LG dish washer. If I could give this a half a star I would. The only good thing I have to say is I think it is fairly quite when I can get it to run. I also think it washes really well, if I can get it to start. Other than that I spend more time trying to get it to start than I actually spend loading and unloading loading . It is easier to wash the dishes by hand at this point.

It supposedly has a lot of options but one would have to spend quite a bi of time with the manual to use them. We just opt for the "normal" cycle to keep things simple, and it only works sporadically. More than often the machine just goes into drain mode then quits. Too many bells and whistles and a bad computer chip is my guess. We have a technician coming out to fix it, hope that does the trick (and that we don't get charged because the machine is only 6 months old). Will never buy an LG appliance again.

Dishwasher shuts off mid-cycle. Sometimes it doesn't even turn on an we have to turn off the breaker for a couple of minutes and turn it back on to get the dishwasher working again.
We contacted LG about the issues about a month before the warranty was up and they gave us the run around until the warranty expired. Now we find out that this is a relatively common issue with these dishwashers. Several sites say that LG is aware of the issue and have issued a new part to fix it, but their support people didn’t mention that and didn’t even suggest that it could be a problem.
