  • Easy start and quiet.

I bought this generator to run the equipment for a shaved ice trailer. The trailer is open air not an enclosed trailer, so a quiet generator is a must to be able to do business. I got the generator, put the oil and gas in along with some ethanol neutralizer stabil. Pressed the primer bulb about 10 times and it statrted on the first pull. We have had it out once last weekend actually in use. It ran for 6 1/2 hours on a tank of gas with the economy switch on. We were steadily busy running the shaver. I had it setting about 9 feet away and you could barely hear it run. I am quite impressed with it. The only thing that would be any negative is that it is cold natured and you have to start it a couple of times to get it warmed up. This only takes a minute and it is then good to go.

I only used this a few times to test it out. Started easily an no issues. Now, it was heavily used following Hurricane Irma down here in FL. This thing ran for 4+ days straight without issue. I should've shut it down to change the break-in oil, but I was too busy. Changed it today and it was well spent. I hope I didn't damage it running for so long on the original oil. So far, so good and much less expensive than my Yamaha and Honda versions of this model.

Although I have not had to use this for an emergency yet, I have fired it up half a dozen times to make sure it starts and runs and put a load on it to break it in. Usually takes 7 or 8 pulls, quite a few primes, and some choke to get it running and warmed up when it's cold, but warm starts are 1-2 pulls. This unit is, as advertised, very quiet. I only paid $319 from HD for it, which is the reason I decided to give it a try, It doesn't have some of the bells and whistles that the Generac and Ryobi have, but as long as it starts and provides clean power, that's all I expect.

  • Love this little generator!!!!!!

Had this 2 weeks, it's great!!!! (So far.) it's really quite (for a generator) I used it today at the park and it powered up my electric grill, this had it running pretty hard (1600watts) when I tried to plug in the ac at the same time, it overloaded, the ac has a 1100 watt surge. Then runs at 450 watts, we ran the ac, tv, lights, fan and it ran a idle, was at the park for 5 hrs and still has 1/2 tank, couldn't hear the generator over the ac, I turned off the ac and could barely hear the generator from inside of my teardrop camper. The 2000 watt Honda has more power and is a a little quieter( should be at $1000+) , but for $359.00 this seems to be a great machine, I bought a generator for hurricane Wilma,(3000 watt) but it was heavy, bulky, and noisy, we never used it and now she's dead. I bought this one for the possibility of a hurricane, but will be able to use it all the time so she doesn't get gummed up,like the last one. Hope this review helps. If I have any problems I'll post. But so far so good.

I own a Photo Booth Business and I needed a portable generator that was ideal for electronic equipment, after some research I came across this inverter generator. I couldn't pass up the great value. as soon as i got it I set up all my equipment I would normally use on an event, witch included 2 Studio lights, laptop, 32' led tv, Camera, studio strobe, and a printer. and this generator didn't even sweat it. It was easy to set up and start. I will definitely purchase another.

Arrived quickly and contained a couple of extra accessories I did not expect. I ordered this item because the length was just a little over 14" and the height was under 14", making it easier to find a plastic tub to keep it in while traveling. The instruction manual was, in part, a cut-and-paste job from a larger generator in that it called for 20 oz of oil. A call to customer service resolved that. After the correct amount of oil was added and a small amount of gas was also added it would not start until I waited 5 minutes or so for the gas to get down into the carb bowl then it started on the 4th pull. It was a little noisier than I expected but became quieter after I moved it away from the house (echo?). The worst part was the pull rope which became more and more frayed each of the 4 times I pulled it while starting. If you look closely, they only managed to put the outer half of a grommet into the pull rope pull hole, resulting in a very damaging drilled hole where the rope was chafed by the raw inside half of the grommet. This is not excusable. The build quality was barely acceptable in that all of the machine screws holding the 2 plastic case halves together had a separate nut on the backside instead of any attempt to hold these 2 halves together with a "nut-sert" instead of an easy to lose separate nut. The places where the 2 case halves were joined together were not properly deburred, resulting in places where you could cut your fingers or hands. Even tho this review sounds horrible, for the $ 150.00 sale price, I would have kept it were it not for the fact that another couple of pulls would have resulted in a broken pull rope and a useless item that could not be started. As it was, I returned it and Home Depot is replacing it with the Sportsman 1000, which is a physically larger unit. I purchased the LiFan because it was VERY compact, so I am regretting that LiFan has executed the roll out of this new item so poorly. Thanks to Home Depot for the prompt replacement and great customer service.

We have used several different generators and the noise level was hard to deal with when camping and trying to sleep. We researched many generators before purchasing. We decided on the Energy Storm based on the specifications and reviews and we could not be happier. It is enough to run what we needed including coffee pots and lights and quiet enough to have right next to our tent and not disturb our sleep. Light enough that it only takes one person to transport. We highly recommend this unit. This cannot be beat for the price.

  • Great generator

Had rented a Honda 2,000 watt invertor for the 4th of July. I think I paid like $60 dollars a day. Now the Honda was quite and worked well. But when I saw this invertor on sale. The had to jump on it. When it arrived I was like a kid in a candy store. Had to get it running and test it out. It runs great. Easy pull start. Almost too easy. Runs quite. I mean as quite as the Honda. I would recommend this for anyone looking for a good generator without paying the Honda price.

I am VERY PLEASED with this purchase! I bought this for use with my travel trailer in remote campgrounds without electricity. It does a great job of powering my various RV systems and maintaining my RV battery. I am able to run lights, water pump, microwave oven, toaster and even an electric fry pan (though not all at the same time) with this generator. When you use a higher energy appliance like a fry pan, the motor speeds ups to compensate, and drops back down to normal speed once the draw is gone. It is reasonably quiet. In the campground we were recently in, we noticed that the big dollar Honda and Yamaha generators were somewhat quieter. However, at this price I can't begin to complain about the volume level. It is certainly acceptable. It did not seem to bother any of our neighbors. We were camping in the mountains at about 8000 feet, and it started every time on the first or second pull of the starter rope. Home Depot was easy to do business with!
