Does not fit over the Leviton GFCI receptacle which is sold just a couple bays away… The copper tabs would not contact anything even if it did fit.

We put one in the nursery and not even 4 months in it has gone dim like a 30 year old flashlight with almost dead batteries. No noticeable reason as to why it stopped working, but from some of the reviews perhaps it gets too hot and that degrades the connections? If manufacturer won’t replace it I’ll open it up and report back. Attaching two pictures of what not working vs working looks like.

I bought 12 of these around 5 months ago and now all of them are very dim at that time i paid around 14 dollars a piece. I wanna know is there a solution or is this company going to continue to sell them and not tell the customer they only last a few months

My 20 year old house has outlet receptacles with rear push-in wire terminals only. The Glocover contact tabs are offset and *requires* side screw terminals for power. It would have been nice to know that ahead of time, so I'm not scrambling for a suitable (~$1) side screw terminal outlet receptacle. If this lasts a month or so, I'm buying a 4-pack for other locations.

I got two of these for Christmas, BOTH NEVER WORKED. I tested the outlet, perfect 120v a/c. I test fit with a spare outlet, makes perfect contact. Covered the light sensor to get LEDs to turn on... but the LEDs never turned on. I will say these got HOT, enough to worry me about installing them in my house, after attempting to get them working I uninstalled them and the section where the LEDs are were HOT to the touch, despite never functioning. Never worked even when bench testing them.

The light bar appears to consist of 5 linear LED elements. Element #2 and #4 stopped working about 3 weeks after installation. This failure mode is consistent with other negative reviews. Light is now too dim to be useful. Tried installing the plate on 2 other outlets = same result; thus a faulty product. Another cheap Chinese product that disappoints. Spend a few extra dollars and buy a different product line. The manufacturer needs to step up and ship a replacement unit.

Great night lighting, especially for the kitchen.

Placed midway up staircase. Lights just enough to see all stairs in complete darkness. Lightly sips energy @ 0.65 watts if the sensor sees darkness. Off during the daytime automatically. Generally downward angle of the light. Perfect to see where you are stepping.

Super easy to install and gives off the perfect glow in the house.

It stopped working after about one month. Now, it's barely bright enough to see it at all.

Few issues. 1. Finish isn't the standard glossy finish, it's more a dull satin, so it doesn't match the rest of the standard outlet/light covers or the outlets it's mounted too. 2. It doesn't have the same recess under it, so even fully tightened against the outlet, there is a gap around the edge. Will try to bend the outlet tabs in to recess it more 3. Biggest issue, the light sensor won't shut off the light unless you shine a light straight at it. Even with the hallway lights on it's on

I’m not sure what kind I have but it was too wide and the prong broke off. Why is it designed like that?

Got home and was excited to install this light plate cover I followed instructions to the letter when I went to turn the power back on my fuse box did it’s job as the outlets made a quick flash of electricity and the power was cut for the outlets. One of the plate covers side copper prongs now has a black smoke dust. I can not even imagine what could’ve happened if I was home and the fuse box didn’t do it job. All my electric outlets are up to code and up to date. I do not even want to reinsert.

I bought three to light up the hallways and guest bathroom. After a month, I noticed the one in the bathroom was very dim, almost as if it wasn't there. Very disappointed, and I really liked the product. We will try to return it.

Good quality but the night light is not LED. It looks yellow and too dull.

We bought traditional plug-in nightlights to help us navigate our new home in the dark. However, right outside the bedroom doors, they were kind of obnoxious. We purchased Glocovers, and everyone loved them. Nice, unobtrusive lights, with soft, effective floor lighting that helps light the way…WITH the added benefit of not utilizing one of the outlets! Good buy; were headed back to Home Depot for more Glocovers!

Worked great for a few weeks then I noticed it was not working. Actually, the light comes in but it’s so low, you have to be on too of it. The worst part of this situation is that I discarded the packaging and receipt.

These night light outlet plug covers are amazing. They light up the floor when dark. Turn off when it's light enough. They look amazing at night. They are sweet.

Works great. fairly bright nightlight. Not superfast charging. I have a Samsung wireless dual charger and it was not strong enough to drive it, so I still had to take up an outlet. But I have another straight charger and it works.fine.

I got two of these Glocovers and will probably get a few more. I used these in the kitchen and they help light dark corners when I only need a little more light and not the overhead lighting. I am thinking about more for hallways and bathrooms. Great product!

So easy to install, I did it all by myself :-). Looks great, provides just enough light when navigating the hallways at night and my outlets are still useable.

Great product, easy to install. Gives off just enough light as a night light for the kitchen. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

This nightlight wall plate it great if you have rectangle outlets as is depicted in the picture. Another important thing to remember is it must be used with an outlet that has terminals on both sides. Because when you slide this in it slides against the terminals on either side of the outlet to make contact with power. The first outlet I tried it on was one that had a USB port and it had both terminals on only one side of the outlet so it didn’t work. As soon as I moved it to a regular outlet it worked great. Just something to keep in mind if you plan on using it on a speciality outlet...just check it first.

These are very cool lights that give off a pretty decent amount of light. Installation can be a bi tricky depending on your outlet, and I had a bit of a tight squeeze when trying to mount this one. It took several tries but I eventually got it on and seems to be working fine. Just so it’s clear, these will not work on a GFCI outlet. This is more for a rocker type light switch. There are other models available for standard outlets which I’m going to pick some more up of.

I would have given 5 stars but in my house, there are outlets that have their power screws in different locations. One has the power screws wider apart and another has the power screws set farther back. The nightlight wouldn't work with either of these, only the one pictured below. It draws 0.6W and is bright as a 4W incandescent nightlight but doesn't use up an outlet. The instructions tell you to turn off power (always a good idea) but if you can unscrew the old plate and screw on the new plate without sticking your fingers in the box a hot swap is easy and covering the sensor with your finger lights the LED and confirms your connections.

It actually illuminated partially (see photo) in the daytime in my windowless foyer. The light became stronger when I covered the photo-sensor with my finger, indicating that it would be brighter at night. Overall, I am satisfied with this night light.

Item Did Not Work ... I was excited to find this product because I don't like taking up my outlets with plug-in nightlights (I need them in all of my bathrooms). My handyman was at my home recently doing some other jobs, so I had him install this wall plate in my master bathroom. I was really looking forward to it turning on (the packaging states the light comes on from dusk to dawn), but it never did ... I've left it installed just to see if it eventually would, as I wanted to provide a fair review. Unfortunately, it never turned on (the outlet is fully functional, so I know it's the wall plate that's faulty). Had this item worked, I would have purchased several for use throughout my home.

Great Night light. I used to replace the old plug in night light that has fallen out before and the dog used for a play toy. This outlet cover light puts out just enough light so you can see were you are going. I have it in a very dark hallway when all lights are off. Its so easy to install any one can do it you only need a screwdriver and its a no brainer. I really like the the clean look you get with this, nothing sticking out of the outlet and you have use of both outlets to plug in something else. I will be getting more like this for the other rooms in the house.

The GloCover, by AmerTac, provides a simple method to install a night light. With this product, you no longer have to give up one of the outlets that you would otherwise be plugging a night light into. There is a photocell built into the wall plate, so the light turns off during the day. The plates are available in the standard-type outlet used in the US and Canada, and the rectangular, or commonly called Decora outlet. The light emitted would probably be considered ‘warm white’. I was easily able to walk by the light projected from this product. The contacts on the back of the wall plate touch the screw heads of the outlet. Just be sure you don’t select the terminals of a switched outlet, or the night light would only operate when the wall switch is on.
