The product exceeded my expectations and it spreads like frosting a cake, really smooth and creamy.
Here are a few things that I did which seemed to help things go smooth. Since I was dealing with several short block walls, I used a 5 gallon bucket and paddle mixer to mix 1/3 of a bag at a time (each batch had its own color pack). After mixing for 10-15 minutes (pretty thick), I let it sit for 10 minutes to "Slake". Doing this allows the material to start its initial set. I then mixed it again for approximately 5 minutes, and adjusted the water, mixing only long enough to achieve uniformity.
Prior to applying this, you must dampen the base coat with clean water to control and equalize suction. Make sure and allow the surface moisture to dissipate prior to the 1/8" application of the Stucco Finish.
If you are applying over a block wall, highly recommend you use a base coat first. Otherwise you will see the grout joints when the wall is wet.
Great prduct good coverage, takes some skill but sand finish is fairly easy

I had to patch a large area and used this color coat with a pigment pack as the final coat. The scratch and brown coats took a lot of skill to get even, but the color coat was easy. It is a much different material and goes on smooth and thin. I got it pretty smooth with the trowel, but was very happy to find that a light scrubbing with a sponge when the stucco was partially dry evened out all the tool marks and made a great sand finish. I got a professional looking sand finish and this was only the 3rd time I have done stucco.
The coverage listed on the package is accurate, I covered 72 ft^2 with spillage and some left over. It's still a lot of work, but this is about the same price as paint and lasts a lot longer.
