I still had to use sander

I used it over oil based paint and painted with latex paint. The paint beaded up as I was applying it.

Fortunately, I tested the product on a test area before doing all of my cabinets. My test showed no difference between treated and untreated. Do not buy, does not work

I do not recommend Oil Bond. It left a “slick” finish that did not cover well. In addition to the one coat of paint with oil bond in it, I had to apply two more coats of paint not including oil bond to hide brush strokes on the door I painted.

We were not at all happy with this product. It says it helps paint adhere to polyurathaned wood without any sanding. However, it doesn't adhere well. When the painters tape is removed, it stripped the paint right off. The paint goes on well, but if the area is touched or anything rubs it, it comes right off. Is it possible to get a refund of this item?

This product is excellent for cabinets, trim and furniture, absolutely no sanding was needed. Huge time saver.

I used Oil Bond to paint over Kitchen cabinet doors and drawers that had a glossy finish. Oil Bond was rubbed on the original paint and then added to the latex eggshell I was using to cover. Seemed to do a good job. I would use again. Not sure how it wears because it hasn’t had enough time to tell.

EXCELLENT PRODUCT. SAVED ME. COATED CABINETS WITH POLY AND THEY TURNED YELLOW. NO OTHER PRODUCT WORKED OVER POLY SO THAT I COULD REPAINT.

With oil bond we were able to paint over previously polyurethanes walls and a bench that had been stained with only a little sanding. It did lighten the color of the paint a little. Nice product.

The product was easy to apply but did not make the wood surface easier to paint after application. Oil bond made the paint clump and slip, didn't give me a smooth even surface that I expected.

Failed to work as expected. After applying and mixing per instructions, paint would not stick.

This product saved me lot's of work and time, at my age climbing up tp sand crown molding was out of the question, thank you.

I ordered this product to paint over old stained doors. I did not want to take them all down and sand them, so I opted for this solution. The instructions were easy to follow and it was easy to use and easy to cleanup! It took 4 coats of Oil Bond and paint but I now have 9 white doors that look like new!

This product works great.

Well I only mixed in paint, I did not coat cabinet doors with Oil Bond first and then paint. Only mixing it in the paint, I really couldn’t tell any difference that it was in there. Would not use again for the sole purpose of trying to get latex to stick to polyurethane.

I have never used this type product before. It made a very visible difference in taking off the sheen and gloss. My paint attached just fine.

Used on wood door, applied a layer, then added to paint as instructed. It Peels right off. Contacted customer service on latex agent site , never responded

I followed the directions to a T. Paint is still coming off painted doors with little effort - just using the doorknob causing the paint to peel. Do not buy this product!

Followed all instructions including shaking for minute. Let it set up for 2 hours. Applied initial coat of paint with oil bond in it. Let dry, then applied second coat. Let dry for 24 hours. When removing painters tape, part of the paint peeled up too. Used scratch test and paint came of easily.
