I really wanted the smart switches to work, there’s no hub, they match the other non-smart switches. Unfortunately, after two years it’s time to face the truth. Leviton made an inferior product and refuses to accept the issue and resolve. Sure Leviton is on generation two, but they’ve lost my trust. If you read the other reviews, so many are just like I was, deal with the issue and come up with workarounds. I finally had it, going down to my basement and resetting my circuit breakers, to bring the switches back online. In the attached picture, the switch that is working, is the Lutron switch. The Lutron has never gone offline. The Lutron hub is tiny. Dont let that push you away. I broke down yesterday and bought the rest of the Lutron switches I need to completely replace the $600 worth of half-functioning Leviton switches that I bought two years ago. The switches are inferior to Lutron in every way. If you use Apple, you only need to connect your hub to HomeKit, everything else will connect to HomeKit via the hub. It’s actually pretty slick. Especially after experiencing the one by one Leviton connection. And if I ever switch to Alexa, the Lutron switches are compatible with both Apple and Google unlike the Leviton. Seriously, do yourself a favor avoid the Leviton switches at all costs.

The Decora Smart switch is an excellent device. The instructions are clear and simple. You use the Home APP to name, locate, and activate the device. This is a great device for using with remote control from your phone, tablet or any device that has the Home APP. Just ask SIRI to turn the lights on, off or, dim. This is great when you get home late at night and want the room lights on before you enter, or if you want to program the lights to come on at a specific time. Just tell your phone to do it for you.

As usual, Leviton makes great home electrical switches and outlets and this is no exception. With elegant styling this light switch looks good installed in my home. I use it to control an outside backyard light and it works well. Wiring it up was relatively easy (even though electrical is not my forte); it went in with few problems (follow the instructions provided; mine was a simple ’swap out/swap in’ installation but your mileage might vary). Controlling it with the Smart Home app was simple, although I had some trouble with it communicating with my WiFi at first (my problem, not the switches; restarting my router helped). I do not have an Apple TV or HomePod, so I was not able to control the light when away from home, but it is nice to know that this option exists, but for the time being simply having the ability to control it from other parts of my house is enough. I have had no problems yet with the switch reestablishing communication with my home network when I restart my router. Overall, a nice addition to my growing smart home; I will be looking to add more in the coming months. Some notes: first, this only works with an iPhone or iPad; if you don’t have one, get the version that works with your brand of phone. Second: the switch is 1-1/2 inches deep; getting it to fit in my box took a little bit of work (whoever wired my house left a lot of wire ’slop’ in the boxes, so I had to mess about to get it in); check your switch box to be sure you will have enough room.

I LOVE this light switch! I originally thought that you needed to open the app to turn the light on or off, but this is not the case! You can simply tell Siri to turn your light on our off without even opening up an app. If you would like to do more involved settings you can always use the app to do that. Another feature that I am excited to use is that you can get multiple switches and they can be controlled individually or altogether from your phone/Siri! This is very convenient when I arrive home after dark. Before I enter the house I can turn on lights and enter into a well lit house!

Love the concept, needs refinement on connectivity. The Leviton Decora Apple Homekit switch is awesome because you can control it with Siri and Apple Homekit app on your device, it also can be voice activated from an apple homepod. It is a little trickier to wire then a regular switch because it does require constant power. I love the look and the functionality, when they work.... I've installed around 20 of these in the house and I keep having issues with them dropping off the network randomly. I've upgraded to a mesh network with the routers on every floor and still experience the random drop. It's easy to reset but a pain to have to do this weekly. It seems to always be the same culprits when it comes to which switches drop, but strange in that switches in the same electrical box keep their connection.

The smart wall switch is very cool. It wasn’t too hard to install if you know how to install a light switch. The problem with the switch is it didn’t have the best directions for getting the switch connected to your phone. My husband was able to add it to his phone with no problem and then when I tried to add mine it wouldn’t connect. It took some research to figure it out which was frustrating,

This is another great step in the pursuit of a Smart Home and its making life easier. I installed this switch to use for in a 3-way application for my kitchen lights. It also works in a single pole set up. My home is set up as mostly with Apple HomeKit compatible products so this was a perfect fit for my existing ecosystem. I took a picture of the box for Leviton switch, however I also snapped a pic of the Leviton remote (purchased separately) that I used for the 3-way set up. I know a few people have asked questions about what matching remote to use for the install. The instructions with the switch explain which matching remotes will work and I purchased one of those. My observations: • Installing 3-way switches can be tricky if you are not used to these set ups. Take your time and read the instructions. I found the included instructions to be accurate and easy to follow. • The switch has a subtle green light at the bottom when the switch is turned off. This makes it easy to find the dark. I like that feature and again it’s very subtle so it’s also not distracting in a dark room. • The product requires a Neutral wire. For my set up it was a white wire tucked away in the back of my electrical switch box. I simply tapped into that using the included white electrical wire that came with this switch. • Let’s talk smart home. I downloaded the Leviton app and added the switch. During the install it prompted me to add the switch in the Apple Home app. That takes about 1 minute as you hold your phone right next to the switch you just installed. After that you choose the room the switch was installed in and how you are using the switch. Maybe for a light, ceiling fan, etc. After that, it’s in the ecosystem and part of your smart home. I can now use ‘Hey Siri’ commands (on my Apple watch, iphone, Homepod, etc.) to control the light or simply go into the Apple Home app or Leviton app to control the light. Of course, I can also simply hit the switch on the wall. Everything is working perfect. Absolutely zero issues. • Once you are in the app you have several other control features to explore like light schedules, etc. • A white wall plate is included. • No buzzing or unwanted noises at the switch in case anyone was wondering. I really like these switches and have already purchased more after seeing how easy they are to use and the smooth integration with HomeKit. Switches like this are clearly the future. I fully recommend.

The Leviton switch is perfect for that room where you have the switch on the other side of the room. Also for basements when you have a movie night theme gathering. Installation took all 20 minutes from turning off the circuit breaker to installing the switch. I struggled to connect to the Leviton app but I think that was more due to my internet connection. Overall , get additional to my WiFi house, I have roomba, next, another brand WiFi switch and other Leviton switches.

Leviton is a name long associated with quality and dependable electrical components. Most plugs and switches in your home are likely made by Leviton. Once installed, you download the Leviton Decora Smart home app and can control the switch remotely form anywhere. Compatible with Apple home and Siri for voice control, you don’t need a separate bridge to operate the switch remotely. You can set a schedule, a mode, and set the light intensity, as well as the basic on/off function. The switch is compatible with LEDs, Incandescent up to 1800 watts, Fluorescents, and even motors rated up to ½ HP. Sleek looking rocker on/off switch looks classy too!

"Decora Smart 15 Amp Light Switch Works with Apple HomeKit Wallplate Included, White" I have installed 4 of the non homekit wifi switches in my house, and previously tried out the homekit ones. First of all installation of either is easy, but different. So is operation. If I were to choose between the two(I did), I'd go non homekit. The way apple homekit is setup it requires you to have an ipad or apple tv setup as a hub, and or on the same wifi network. This means without a "hub" you can't control your remotes from your phone away from home. Switch itself is great, apple = silly

Leviton smart switch Installation is fairly easy if you know the basics of wiring. Please check two things before you start installation. This switch need neutral wire and not all homes wired with one. This switch is deeper than conventional switch. If you have solid copper wiring at home like mine, accommodating this switch in the existing box need some effort. Once you complete installation, connecting to the app and controlling switch from app is super easy. In case if you miss flashing green ( which you need when connecting to Wi-Fi) just press and top part of the switch for 14 seconds.

Harder to wire then a regular switch, as it requires constant power. I didn’t realize this when i bought it. So you have to tap into the white wire in the back of the electrical box, which requires an extra length of wire (not included). Once I figured that out it all went smooth. The HomeKit part is simple enough to set up. Recommended that you have strong WiFi as these are buried in the wall. Product works as expected once installed, no issues. I have 3.

I have installed 5 of these devices including several multi-location switches (requires DD0SR-DLZ). The instructions are clear and easy to follow. The Leviton application is easy to use and works well with Apple Homekit. The only issue is that I had two switches that were dead on arrival.

Make sure you have enough space in your wall for these. The switch is very deep when all the wires are attached!!

The primary problem with this device is that it constantly drops connection to the WiFi, and there’s no way to reconnnect it short of turning off a breaker and going through 10 steps. When it’s connected, it’s great. It’s doesn’t require a separate hub, which was a huge draw for me. But I’ve had it installed about 6 weeks, and I’m on my 3rd major reset. It’s hardly worth the headache if this is going to be a common occurrence every two weeks. For that reason, I simply cannot recommend this product.

Apple HomeKit only - Please stop and check before reviewing this product. It is a good Apple HomeKit device (wall switch), it is not for other general wifi use. They have other models for other wifi. HomeKit is an Apple only standard, and we're very thankful to Leviton for their early support for HomeKit. Many of the low rating reviews are because the user wasn't using HomeKit and didn't understand the Apple only use. If a reviewer bought it not understanding HomeKit, please don't give a review just return it and get the model that you need!

The replacement switch did what it was designed to do.

Perhaps I should have done more research, or perhaps Leviton should make it clear, this model does not work with the "my leviton" app (Android) it only works with "leviton decora smart home" app (Ios) How was I to know there was a difference. Took an entire week of exchange with Leviton support to confirm this was the case!

They work- and the switch is good quality- They come with a neutral pig tail too and new wall plate. At this price they are a great deal. Homekit functionality works great.

After installing this swift it was very difficult to pair over wifi, also it doesn’t work as described and the app doesn’t work with this switch, there is another app that does not have much functionality and I really think you should try another switch if you truly want ease to operate- I give this switch a one star for design. Don’t buy it save your money.

Relatively straightforward to install. Occasionally, devices are unresponsive and a reset is necessary.

Worked as advertised. Easy to install and connect to HomeKit app.

Many technical issues. Does not easily connect to wifi or app. Does not offer a dimming function. Takes many attempts to connect more than one cell phone. Spent HOURS to set up.

I have returned all 7 Leviton smart switches with Homelink works with Siri. After spending hours troubleshooting, calls to tech support and waiting via email for a reolution, I gave up. Can’t explain the paralysis by Leviton to not resolve the issue. I guess they were hoping that I would give up...and I did. Purchased a Lutron Caseta. Installed it and upgraded the firmware. Working fine.

For some reason, these seem to fail every two years. For $50 they should lay longer. I contacted Leviton about the 5 year warrenty and never got resolution.

Had this switch for about 2 years and have had to reset (reconnect to network) numerous times because it would say “not responding”. When you reset, it could work for the day or up to about 4-5 months and go to “not responding” It just got old. Im looking for something else because it finally gave out and won’t reset or switch on anymore
