Although the SKUs are the same as what is given online, what you get (online or in store) is NOT a shallow mount as illustrated and described, and it wont fit in a standard outlet box

Used this device to replace direct wiring done by Dude. 'Dude, can you wire this new oven?' 'Dude, I can wire anything!' Dude used 6/3WG wire instead of a factory made oven cord with terminals crimped onto one end of the stranded wire and a factory bonded plug on the other end. Dude snipped 2 of the 7 strands when stripping the insulation. Dude used wire nuts to directly wire the oven to the junction box. Note the cracked wire nut. Dude lost the proper 10-32 machine screws on the oven so he took sheet metal screws off the oven case and used them to attach the wires. Last photo is the proper installation.

LOL a review on a 220V outlet we needed for our electric clothes dryer. Sure why not? I'm enjoying a cold beer after a hard day's work while checking my email I get the offer to review this. Our dryer had stopped heating. After replacing thermostats and the heating element, it would heat up then the heat element would turn itself off after about 5 seconds. Reading more about this issue, sometimes its because the outlet is worn out and not getting a good connection. So I inspect our previous 30+ year old 220V outlet for our dryer. WOW. We ALMOST BURNED OUR HOUSE DOWN, seriously. The condition of the original outlet: One leg was so burned the plastic behind the face was melted. The lead connected to that leg was melted TO THE plastic outlet box. CLOSE CALL. Unplug your dryer - look at the prongs - if you have 1 or more discolored due to heat this is very likely the same issue for you. Cleaned up and inspected the 220V wires, installed the new plug (very easy to do, easier than a 110V outlet!) and the dryer now works like a swiss clock. So yeah, EXCELLENT outlet that works :) HIGHLY RECOMMEND inspecting your 220V outlet(s).
