Nice finish

Decided to paint some of my rooms and to replace the outlets after 50 years of use to give a fresher look to the room. I like these outlets since they are heavy duty, have the tamper resistant safety feature(makes it difficult to insert anything into the outlet other than an electrical plug) and are for 20 amp circuits.. Also the wiring is connected in the traditional way- wrapped around the proper contact screw and tightened. I am not a fan of the push in quick connects. It only takes a few minutes more to tighten the screw down- and you know you have a good connections That is the way the old ones were installed and in 50 years I never had an electrical problem with an outlet. I have always been partial to Leviton and thought these receptacles had a price point that is a little high- but I will trust Leviton that I am getting extra quality for the extra money. They appear to be well made..

Glad Leviton added a twenty amp tamper resistant decora receptacle to there line of products. As it seems most want the decora style in their kitchens to match their GFI's and for the good looks of the decora style receptacle so that all devices match. Thinks I like is that it also is has the self grounding to box if your ground wire is attached to the box, device will be grounded. Me I'm old school and prefer to run ground wire to device, one is most boxes used in homes are plastic and box is not grounded, if metal box was used I prefer to ground both the box and the receptacle with a ground wire to each, seeing that the ground wire is what makes the breaker trip right now without waiting for the breaker to be overloaded for 3 min. to trip. But the self ground is a good extra safety device and we can never be short on that

Sharp looking white tamper resistant 20-amp, 115-volt outlet. I like the bright white plastic body. The screw terminals hold both stranded and solid wires very firmly. I especially like the rounded slot on the black outlet body for hooking the bare wire and quickly wrapping it around the screw terminal. This makes installing the outlet fast. Bright white neutral screws. Solid green ground post screws. The outlet screws are held firmly in place, one with a plastic square. The other a special spring plate to help ground metal covers. The ears on the mounting tabs scored for a clean break when needed, The plate tabs are tapped for easy cover screw installation. Safety Feature: Plug must have both terminals pushed in at the same time to help avoid children from sticking items into power outlet.

The outlet works just like its supposed to. Its nice not to have to use the old childproof plug ins because these ones come with them built in. Easy to install and looks great

the 10 pack is nice for doing large jobs, no seperate boxes or bags to open, set screwas are pre installed. two way hook up either sedt screw or slide in crimp. This is nthe perfered line and has a tamper proof shield if you have young kids. we have always used the Leviton brand.

I have small children and I’ve seen them trying to touch the outlets. Replacing my outlets with these tamper resistant ones give me some peace of mind. Easy to instal.

This outlet fits the opening in the decora outlet covers perfectly. Its construction is of the same quality as a normal outlet with out the safety / tamper resistant internal cover to keep children from sticking random objects into the outlet. It works and looks great I was able to install it with out any issues. Their are instructions on the inside of the little box it comes in, how ever I did not need to read them to install it. I used it in a temperature control.

Very good outlets. Easy to install, look great. The cost difference to do tamper resistant plugs is pretty minimal. I did them for all plugs under 4' off the ground. Really no inconvenience to an adult. Sometime you need to angle the plug a little so it pushes the protector aside. No problem. Strongly recommend getting the large outlet covers with these, and getting some foam insulation that come with Decora cover cut outs. Works the best of anything I've tried.

This duplex outlet, in white, is a really great product. What a good idea - tamper resistant outlets - no more plastic plugs to keep children safe from getting shocked or electrocuted by these. It was super easy to install. In the back of my mind I had thought I might have to hire an electrician to come out and install it for me and how costly that could be, so I decided to give it a try. Although in tiny print, the instructions are quite clear and made it an easy task.

I know these come in different colors, because I buy them all the time, but I'm reviewing the black version. I know these are a bit more expensive than the cheapest ones but they are worth it. At the advice of my electrician brother, I use Levitons for every install. They are made in the US and I've never had a single problem with them. At one a dollar more than the knockoffs, I'm not sure why anyone wouldn't get these instead. One more thing, they look really good. See the pictures below.

Very easy to install, and looks very good.

My wife and I had our bathroom remodeled three years ago and the Levity Decora 15 AMP Tamper-Resistant Duplex Outlet failed after only three years. The Tamper-Resistant mechanism got stuck and blocked the regular normal plugs for cell phone charger and electric tooth brush charger. There was no problem for three years until yesterday (June 12, 2017). I did not get "long trouble free service".

good product for what I needed

I was excited to see that HD was finally carrying a 10 pack on the 20-amp outlets however I was very disappointed when I found that the outlets had the old fashioned/cheaper lugs that you must J bend your 12 gauge wire around the lugs. Even the single packs have the extra plate so you can place two wires under each lug without the time consuming process of hooking the wire over the lug. As a professional handyman I feel like billing Home Depot for the extra time it took. Unprofessional.

This product comes from a stalker store. Home Depot. All I did was buy this without providing any of my personal info. Yet, here in my email inbox is a request to review this product. How creepy is that! Maybe I’ll take my business to a store that track everything I buy. Or at leasts has me opt in.
