Most of the inline switches have a splice connection that I never liked, being the wire is pushed into a sharp copper V the cuts into the insulation to make a connection, how ever I find that design fails over time. And they also always have a cheap copper spring as the switch. How ever this one is different, it has real screw terminals to attach the wires too. and a actual toggle switch as the switch. I am pleased and surprised to see this design, as this is how I would of designed it if I had done so. It also has instructions in multiple languages. and includes a 2 year warranty

If Leviton makes it, then it is a quality product! So often you purchase something (in my case a beautiful glass curio to show some fancy plates and cups) but the light switch is this low quality, (i.e. piece of junk) thumb electric switch. Replace those with this solid, high quality in-line electric switch. The interior (see picture) has two secure connections (with screws) to connect one side of the power line. If you need an on-off in-line switch, don't look any further. This is it.

This is a great switch for appliances and other devices that draw 3 amps or less. I used this to replace a switch from a lamp that was defective; the light would flicker once in a while and it was annoying. It was very easy to replace the damaged switch with the new 3 amp switch; it only took me less than 5 minutes. My lamp wires are smaller than most lamps and the switch work great with it. The screws and the plastic compartment looks and feels like the switch is made of durable quality materials.

I have used these in-line switches in the past, but they were the ones with a dial switch, and I found they only last a few years (usually would short with a loud spark!). Thought I would try these. First off, they are 3 times bigger than the dial ones. Second, these can accept 18/2 or 16/2 flat wire [dial ones only 18/2]. Third, these you strip one wire and attach via screws (see pic) [dial ones pierced the wire casing with pressure pins]. Stripping the wire gives a much better connection and I suspect these will last the lifetime of the cord.

Used this to replace an in line lamp switch that had gone bad. Easy to install and seems very sturdy. Working well.

Excellent quality product. Replaced a lamp switch, this is MUCH better, solid switch. Very easy to replace, test, and complete. I'll buy it again if I need a switch like this. Great job Home Depot!

It’s fine and easy to install. It was just too small for the cord I was trying to put it on. I ended up buying another one that was larger for the cord. I will keep it for other projects.

Just wanted something big enough for my papers. This does not have handles it s awkward to carry. As I am older.

Not so little but that means it is easy to install, very easy to use and works great. Unless you really want to hide your switch on the cord use one of the tiny ones, but if you want reliable durable switch this is it

NICE EASY TO CONNECT INLINE SWITCH

Very easy to install works great

Had to order it online, store only had white. Works well and saved an old lamp with only a couple of inches of cord left sticking out from the base to work with. Was able to attach it to the "nub" of wire left, and add new cord to bring it back to life.

Worked like a charm. Much easier to use than the wheel type switch.

For the price difference this style is far superior than the cheaper rotary type bought in past.

This switch is easy to install and works smoothly. Best is that it fits a heavier gage cord than the others.
