I've been an electrician for 43 yrs. Used Leviton all my career. They have failed me! The attached photos show my latest batch of switches. All have broken at the pivot point of the paddle. All of the switches are less than 6 months old, and they are installed in my own home. They were NOT abused, and one switch got used maybe 5 times in the 6 months. Un-acceptable quality. Contacted Leviton customer service and spoke to Mr P. Roberts who said "send me photos". Never heard from him again. Thanks a lot Mr. P. Roberts for caring about your product and the consumer.

  • Poor Quality

Two of the three switches I bought were defective, and did not work following installation. Not a good batting average.

The switches work well. My only suggestion would be you need to sell them in an even #. Either a box of four or six since you need two switches to make one light work.

  • Good standard grade switch
  • December 06, 2011
  • Verified Purchase & Recommended Product

I've been replacing all the outlets and switches in my house with Leviton's decorator line with good results for standard grade devices. However, the hookup diagram on the inside of the package is drawn in a pictorial rather than schematic fashion and is incomprehensable. Please use a standard schematic diagram which is at least understandable to us electrical gurus.

  • A great and inexpensive update!

We purchased these switches to update our 1960's recent home purchase that had all original switches. The old switches were dirty and mismatched from repairs over the years. After spending some time looking at the diagram to figure out how to install a 3-way switch, the installation was easy. They immediately updated the house and look great. This is an easy way to update your home and make it look like you've really spent some time on the details.

  • Too easy to install

After carefully reading the instructions, its a cinch to install. I bought the 5-pack and 3 singles to complete my home. Maybe easier instuctions would be helpful, but anyone with a little experience shouldn't have a problem.

  • I would prefer the insert and tighten type rather than wrap around
  • December 06, 2011

These swithes are OK but if I have the choice even as signifigantly greater cost, (because it makes the job so much easier) I will buy similar swithces that allow me to insert the line then tighten down the conductor rather than the type that wrap around the screw. I will not use the option that allows you to insert the conductor without the ability to tighten the connection
