Easy to setup, good quality item. I've done two of the small welding jobs I had in mind for this tool and while my welds aren't pretty they are doing the job. If you're going to use it with flux wire and no gas I recommend getting some nozzle gel to save the tip from splatter.

Very good indeed, I could stick weld but that was 35 yrs ago but was able to pick this right up and weld pretty good joints. A little more practice or small jobs to do and will more than likely be back in the swing of things. here is a small project I did for getting deer out of the woods.

      Great Welder
Outstanding welder from Lincoln Electric. I know it can be intimidating to purchase a MIG with little to no experience, but for those out there interested, take a simple course at a local school a couple days a week, and learn the right way. I did just that, and wanted my own. HD had this in stock and gave me a fair price. It comes with two spools (2lbs) and everything, besides gas tank, gas, and mask/gloves that you need to rock and roll. It's simple to use and was built with quality. PLugs right into your 110 V home outlets as well, no custom huge plugs like my stick welder has. Highly recommended.

      Excellent welder for the dollars
I am primarily a woodworker. However, one of my clients wanted a combination of wood and steel in some designs I made. From years gone by, I have welded with a Stick welder and had minimal experience with a MIG welder. This Lincoln 145 fit a budget need and has preformed excellently. Out of the box, I started welding and completed the table in the photograph with this review. Having owned Lincolns in the past, I felt I would get good results with this welder. It has surpassed my expectation. Just before checking my e-mail today, I was welding with this machine and walked away pleased with the finish I achieved.

      Lincoln Weld-Pak 100
I'm using the older model Lincoln Weld-pak 100 with C25 (25% CO2, 75% argon gas mix), Lincolnweld .025" L-56 wire. After a little trial and error, the welds came out pretty nice!

Great Little Welder! I Love It!
I was looking for an affordable welder that ran on 120V for small household projects, and I found this one online at Home Depot. Forty years ago, I used to do some arc welding, but I have never done any wire-feed welding before. Once I set this machine up, I was welding like a pro in no time. The welds are nice and professional looking, not to mention strong. My only advice to beginners is to slow down your speed a little, and use one weld setting lower than the manufacturer suggests. Practice, practice, practice, and you will be welding like a pro in no time. My first project was building mounting brackets out of 1/8" angle iron and 3/16" flat steel for an air horn kit that I mounted underneath my truck. The brackets are very sturdy, and it was very satisfying building them myself and not having to rely on someone else to build them for me. The welder is economical, and it is great for small projects. I can't wait to find a reason to do some MIG welding, so I can see how it works with gas!

      Welder works good
We bought this welder to do light repairs to our equipment. up to 1/4 We use it more than we thought we would and it works great. Simple to use and cost effective well worth the money. After welding for a while with inner shield wire. We got the co2/argon tank and has made welding even better. Now we have been building anything that we need saving us money.

        delivery debacle
Very disappointed on delivery. This was a Christmas present for my dad and it was delivered in its original packaging so he seen it on the front porch prior to Christmas, so no surprise there. Plus anyone could have taken it.

Background of Welders Lincoln MIG DC is that they have always been around a farm and home DIY of maintenance enviroment while growing up but never in a production enviroment. Due to the above years of positive experiences, we searched for a proven rock solid welder that could be used to teach the welding of both steel (HSS) and aluminum (6063) purchased locally mostly up through 3/16" in thickness to welding appentices and still have the trusted simplicity of only two knobs... one for Wire Feed (WF) and the other for Voltage (V) a heavy transformer and little (if any) computerization. For testing purposes... purchased the initial Lincoln 140HD (PN:K2514-1) on 06Sep16 from Home Depot. After successfully passing the addition of aluminum welding via the Aluminum Spool Gun (PN:K2532-1) a second unit was purchased 10Oct22 to each unit could be dedicated for a given material (steel or aluminum). Should any student desire to push their welding skills further, for sure by now there are other options available for Welders <Lincoln or alt mfg> TIG+MIG, AC+DC, Synergic etc etc etc but the Lincoln140HD (PN:K2514-1) has never let us down. This means that production has never been halted by a need to order parts. Everything needed to weld both steel was within the box at purchase. Should one desire to weld aluminum, one has to purchase the Aluminum Spool Gun (PN:K2532-1) and then anything needed for that is contained within that hard plastic box at purchase EXCEPT for the shielding gas. When the second Lincoln140HD unit was configured for aluminum and for a sanity check that we configured correctly... we called the 216.481.8100 phone number printed on the cover of the user manual and were promptly and professionally confirmed to be upon the correct course. Nice. Once the testing of both steel and aluminum since 2016 was completed... another four (4) units were purchased on 24Nov23 with accompanying spool guns for the aluminum. When welding aluminum, we use the Lincoln 0.35mm SuperGlaze 4043 1lb spool (20pack PN:ED030308) with 100% Argon and... no shielding gas when welding steel as we use the Lincoln 0.35mm Innershield NR-211-MP 10lb spool where a shielding gas is not needed. We also use the Lincoln Welding Helmet AutoDarkening (PN:K4438-1) and also the Lincoln Welding Helmet Fixed at Shade 10 to showcase the differences in Fixed vs AutoDarkening. All welding is out doors and everybody gets eye protection (worn under the Welding Helmet), a leather smock, leather gloves and steel toe boots. This is our configuration and we are very pleased with both the cost, flexibilty, years of rock solid performance and the support of the six (6) Lincoln 140HD (PN:K2514-1) + Aluminum Spool Gun (PN:K2532-1) and hope for many more years of same while we turn out skilled welders.
