For an entry level mask it is awesome

There was something wrong with the head band that would not allow the helmet to drop into place, you can't weld if you can't see the lens!

Its nice to use

For the price it is a good helmet. A flip lense would have gotten it a 5.

it’s a simple helmet … not bad but not auto-darkening and for the price they do make some auto darkening helmets… we’ll probably return it.

It pretty much ready to go on the package. Good field of view, easy to adjust. Not state of the art by far but a very good value for the especially if your just starting out or on a budget.

I ended up getting an automatic one.

There was really no assembling skill needed

Helmet is okay but needed auto darkness option which this doesn't have so gotta buy another one. Needs to be deeper in the hood to avoid burns down the shirt collar. Personal preference.

Initially terrified of welding, this was perfect for me to learn on and small jobs around the shop!

The product is comfortable and durable

I just started welding a couple months ago and I cannot understand how anybody welded prior to the invention of auto-darkening helmets. I can't see anything prior to pulling the trigger on the gun. Even in direct full sunlight, I can barely see the silhouette of the nozzle/wire. Wish I had spent another $20 on an entry-level auto-darkening helmet.

This helmet is only for a home proyect, if you want to work like a welder you need a better one. The helmet don't protect your eye 100%.

I like the large view that this helmet has. Very comforatable to wear for long periods of time.

Not auto darkening. Falls off head easily. Flat face scratched first time it fell off while welding under the car. Poor design.

Could not see through to work. I do not recommend this. Buy one that has an auto adjustable screen so you can see clear then it will darken when the welding is started. Will be returning this

Does it's job

Worked exactly what I needed it for

My only gripe with this hood is the headgear knobs on the side. I tighten them where I need them to flip it down, but after I flip it 3 or 4 times the knobs back themselves off making the hood fall easily when I don't want it to. It's a little annoying, but nothing I can't deal with. I also swapped out the #10 shade for a #12. Other than that it's pretty comfortable and gets the job done for a 30 dollar hood.

The headgear adjusts well and is comfy. When flipping the hat down, i dont have it adjusted well enough because it either will stay up and lock back and not come down or will not stay up when it needs to be that way. Plenty of eyesight on the piece you're working on.

very cheaply made. fell apart in a few hours of light use

This was my first experience with welding so I bought the cheapest helmet I could find assuming it would be adequate for the small job I had. However, I could not see through the No. 10 Lens. I am an old guy so maybe I just have bad eyes, but I couldn't see where to start the weld until the sparks started flying. My neighbor suggested I borrow his auto darkening welding helmet and it worked great. So I ordered one on line also from Home Depot and for the same price as the Lincoln. I hung the Lincoln up in my garage until I can find someone who can use it.

Helment fits great, works great. I just wish it was an auto darking. Used it twice without any problems
