The helmet comes with easy instructions on which settings are best for different types of welding and a couple replacement lenses. It is very lightweight which is easy on your neck for extended periods of time.

I finally decided to get a new welding helmet to replace my current helmet that is over 10 years old. My old helmet did not have the auto-darkening feature so I was ready for an upgrade. I decided on the Lincoln Auto-Darkening Red Fierce Helmet found at Home Depot. I really didn't know I was getting such a great product at the time. First, the graphics are incredible. I am going from a plain black helmet to a helmet that looks like it has 500 horsepower. Second, the Auto-Darkening feature is even better than I have envisioned. It is like turning a light on and off. It goes to dark and back to light as quickly as the arc strikes the metal. Also, the solar powered feature is awesome. It looks like a solar powered strip off a calculator and no batteries are ever required. Another great feature is the Sensitivity and Time delay switches inside the helmet. This allows for three adjustments on the auto-darkening feature and a slow and fast speed on the auto-darkening feature. Some of the other features are the nice sweat band on the strap that goes across your forehead. The quick sizing knob on the back makes it easy for my son to resize the helmet and wear it. The side tension knobs allow you to set the correct amount of tension to raise and lower the helmet to weld. A quick flick of your head brings the helmet down for welding. To top it all off, Lincoln sends two sets of interior replacement lenses...Bonus! I have included several images of the features of this helmet. I am thrilled about my now Lincoln Welding Helmet and would absolutely recommend this product to any welder, from hobby welder to pro.

Battery cover needs to be taped shut straight out of box. And wasn’t going back because ordered online for in store pick up and instead of getting an email in 2hrs I had to show up after 4hrs to find order

It cost $160 with taxes $183 it was definitely pre-used, completely dirty, and very cheap material.

Helmet is nice enough but have used better that cost less.

Great auto dimming and adjustable darkness makes it so easy to weld instead of the older fixed darkness helmet which I now have given away.

The welder is great, but the helmet visor does not swing down low enough making the resulting viewing angle of the work piece very uncomfortable.

Overall a decent helmet but the lens battery location is cumbersome and the mechanism to remove the lens assembly is barely useable. It takes at least 5 to 10 minutes to get the lens out/in because the wire holding it in is in the way of the housing. This is a very poor design in my opinion.

not any better than my 30 dollar harbor freight welder, but it was in stock and I needed one.

Good entry level welding hood. Auto Darkening is plenty fast and external grinding dial with various intensity setting is nice. fits my reading glasses just fine as well. Weight is acceptable and comfortable.
