I mounted three of these LED under-cabinet lights under an 8 foot-long wall-mounted cabinet in a “Crafts Room.” Using the supplied 13 inch connector cords, I linked a 24 inch light to a 12 inch light that was linked to a 48 inch light. I would have preferred to use two 48 inch lights, but could not get a second 48 inch unit. Thus I had a total of 84 inches of lighting, which was more than sufficient to illuminate the work areas with which I was concerned. The lights are low profile and are easily “hidden” under cabinet. A warning: these lights DO NOT come with a 5 foot power cord that plugs into a wall outlet. If you’re going to "direct wire" these lights, great, but if you plan to plug this light into a wall outlet for power, BE SURE TO ORDER A POWER CORD. It took me 4 weeks to get one, so make sure your retailer can order a power cord for you as the company will not sell a power cord directly to a non-distributor, i.e. you. These lights are easy to install & connect in series. Be sure to follow the directions as to how to remove the plastic diffuser cover & wire way cover, and note that the diffuser has to be replaced exactly as it was removed. Its two mounting edges are not identical and the diffuser will not fit the light if reversed. If connecting multiple lights in series, be sure to account for the 13 inch length of the connector cords.

This is a nice bright LED light that will be great for task lighting mounted under a kitchen cabinet or over a garage work bench. It can also be dimmed, which should be great for my intended application. Packaging - Despite a larger outer box, this light had some very minor damage on one end (see picture). However, I don't see this affecting the usage or even being noticed once it is installed under a kitchen cabinet. Product Quality - While inspecting the light once taken out of the box, I noticed a black wire could be seen under the removable lens. I removed the lens to find that wires were protruding from underneath the light strip mounting area into the LED area. I tucked them back under and everything seems fine, it just doesn't look good as far as manufacturing attention to detail. Installation - This light does not come with a plug in cord and that must be purchased separately. My intended installation being wired in permanently and controlled by dimming smart home device will not require a plug. I did want to get this installed though and try it out so I ended up wiring it up to a plug in first. Installation either way should be quite easy with basic electrical knowledge and the ability to put in two screws 45.5" apart under the cabinet to lock into the keyhole slots. Also be careful of which direction you face the screws for the wire clamp as they will interfere with the bottom of the cabinet due to the length of the screws. Lighting - The light output from this fixture is great, and really lights up the counter under it. The color temperature of 3000k looks great in our kitchen. I have not had the opportunity the try the dimming, however I have other Lithonia LED fixtures in our home and they usually dim quite well. Final Impressions - Overall this is a good LED light fixture for task lighting. I had my concerns over the quality based on first impressions, however they were minor overall. The lack of a power cord is annoying, but understandable for the application, and it is stated clearly in the product description. Although not used in my application, the included linking connections would be very helpful for those with a long area to be lit. I could definitely see mounting two of these linked over my 8 foot work bench in my shop.

On first opening the packing, I did what probably just about every person has done with this product: realized that it does not come with a power cord. My intent with this unit was not to extend it (which it is thoroughly capable of doing) but just to install it under three cabinets (about 52” in length) and plug it into a wall outlet located very close by. However, being resourceful and experienced with home electrical wiring, I decided to use the direct wire option instead. Installation for this unit is pretty simple. It had two recessed mounting holes on the back of the unit which will accept screws. Simply measure a couple of times for the screws, screw them in and slide the unit into place. This is just about the final step in installing the light (minus running/securing the power cable, which is optional, I suppose). Before this, the unit must be prepped for power. Since the power cable is not included, you’ll either need to find it (I could not locate it for purchase through Home Depot or any other store), and plug it in, or direct wire to romex. I used 14 gauge two wire cable. There is a small access panel that has to be removed and a cut out to remove to accept the included romex connector. I bent the access panel trying to remove the cut out, which was a little disappointing, but as the panel is not visible when the unit is installed, its actually not a big deal. You’ll need to remove the plastic light diffuser and open the wire run to get to the connectors inside. I was happy to find the push in type connectors. No wire nuts needed here! The 14 gauge wire fit like a charm and the light was ready to go in no time. I did have quite a time packing the wired connectors back into the channel. I almost felt like I was going to break something trying to squeeze things back in there. I spent about as much time getting the unit back together as I did wiring it up and installing it! I wired the romex up a nearby junction box and the thing was ready to light up. It’s is VERY bright. I am truly surprised how bright this thing is. Since these are designed to be linkable, I understand why the power cable is not included… but it should still be easier to find. Lithonia directly states that “Home Depot can order it for you” but this is just an extra hoop to jump through that might prevent me from ordering more.

I got this to replace a battery operated motion light for our coffee area. This comes with a direct wire installation kit and connector cord so you can connect several of these together . Since hard wire was not an option for me I opted to purchase the 5 foot power cord, which is not sold with the product but you can order it separately The sku is 845265 or the internet #203165897 took a week to send to my local HD Free shipping.I installed it today and it is bright well worth the wait.

Great design. Very low profile. Found all the lengths I needed. Very bright light. I put them on dimmers and usually keep them turned up only 1/2 way. Highly recommend.

Very good light, my only thought was it was listed as daylight but the lumins must be different than my other daylight under counter lights as this light casts a bit of a yellow, vs. bright clear white light. Installation did need two people as it was long. Took about 30 mins total.

Our electrician installed this out of the box, and to his horror he discovered that there was only one screw hole on each end of the fixture to attach it underneath our kitchen cabinet, NOT TWO. Ideally there would have been two screw holes on each end. But having only one meant that the screw hole was in the "front" of the fixture, not the front and back. As a result the back sags by about 1/4 inch and is not flush with the surface. And that's because Lithonia tried to save some money by eliminating a screw hole and a screw at each end. Pathetic. I would have gladly paid for the two screws and screw holes. Worse yet, their tech support team blames the electrician for it not being flush with the underside of the cabinet. SHAME ON LITHONIA AND ITS PARENT COMPANY!!

These are really great fixtures. The light is bright and evenly distributed. They are great for indirect lighting locations and under cabinet installations. They are easy to install, either hard wire or with the optional 5 foot power cord.

Easy to install......provides a lot of bright white light. I have used these under kitchen cabinets and in closets. Both applications are much better with this product.

The instructions say to “gently press” on the plastic diffusing lens to remove it. It took all of the strength in my fingers to get the thing off. Gently press.....right.

Bought 3 sizes of this light and they were exactly what I was looking for. I now can see my counters. Very pleased!

We replaced our old fluorescent fixtures with these lights, and we're very pleased with the product. The lights are slim and bright. We're going to install a dimmer for more lighting options.

I bought four lights, they were delivered very quickly. I was able to install all four of them under my kitchen cabinets in less than two hours. They work great, they light up immediately and they do not flicker or buzz like my old Fluorescent lights did. No more replacing tubes or ballasts. We are very happy with our Lithonia LED under cabinet lights.

They weren't too difficult to install. They produce a good amount of light, in a warm color. I will be installing a dimmer for adjusting the brightness. They are somewhat larger in terms of height compared to some low profile lights, the trade-off is that you can get all the wires inside somewhat easily. I wish the wires inside the unit were longer to allow for more flexibility in installation.

These lights are great except for two things, both of which are, I'm sure, are related to cost reduction. Both issues are related to installation. 1. Opening the fixture to access the wireway is difficult, and nearly impossible to close again. It requires flexing the wireway to move a metal edge under a tab. The fit is so tight it's difficult to do, and closing it again is nearly impossible without bending the tab, which renders the task impossible. I had three fixtures and nine tabs to deal with, and I succeeded with seven. I'd suggest to spend a bit more here so that this is cleaner and easier. 2. The wireway itself is too small. It's difficult to squeeze all the wires back in and still close the fixture. Case in point: one of the three units arrived with wires not fully contained within the wireway. But, now that they're up, I like the end result, even if they're not perfectly installed.

It was easy to daisy chain this light fixture to other units with the supplied jumper connectors. Three fixtures of this type were used to provide distributed lighting in an enclosed cellar stairway. The three LED fixtures replaced a single tube florescent fixture that had trouble starting in the summer time dampness conditions in the basement.

Very nice counter light for mounting under cabinets, and handy to link them together with the l3" cord or connector included. A little tricky to mount as difficult to force the light panel apart in order to get a screwdriver in to tighten the mounting screws to the cabinets. Checked Lithonia's dimmer compatibility list for these UCEL series lights and found a very nice Synergy brand dimmer (Model ISD 600 1 120 ) made by Acuity, the same parent company. It produced no flicker at any range of the dimming, and has performed perfectly for over a year already. It also has a bonus - a nice little unobtrusive green pilot light to find it in the dark, and it has a large square push on/off switch handy for a dry knuckle operation when fingertips are wet . 5 stars for sure if those mounting screws were more accessible.

Easy to install and great lighting

Really like the slim design. I can’t comment on ease of installation because I paid someone to do it. If it helps, it only took about 15 minutes to install 2 of them. My only complaint is they are too bright, and I can’t add a dimmer. But, other than that, great.

Actually this is a solid 5 star light EXCEPT they don't include a cord for it and Home Depot doesn't carry it. I had to go through the online HD rep who was extremely helpful and spent a fair amount of time helping me get the plug in cords directly from Lithonia. It was still worth it for this really nice light. It works great under my kitchen cabinets and doesn't get hot no matter how long we leave them on. Great product. Note to Home Depot, PLEASE stock the right cord for this light! Or better yet Lithonia just sell the light WITH the cord.
