Good non-neural wire requiring dimmer
It's a good non-neural wire requiring dimmer, pairs super easily with the hub though I wish it weren't required. Its one semi-fatal flaw is it doesn't remember the last setting so my lights always come on full-blast. The $60 price tag's a bit egregious.

Swich working perfect. Working with Wink. Easy to install, no neutral. Using Cree LED Bulb. Turn off and turn on from my iphone. 5 stars.

Do not buy this unless you’re ok with buzzing lights or going through their compatibility tool to make sure all your lights will work. Go with the PD-5NE instead. Sure it’s $99, but it works with all bulbs. All you need is a neutral wire. Not sure why Home Depot and Lutron don’t push the 5NE more. It’s so much better.

You may discover, like in your case, that a different dimmer worked better for your application. Confirming compatibility is still important for any of our dimming solutions.
We recommend making sure your bulb has been tested and approved by Lutron to provide the best dimming performance with your dimmer. There is currently no industry standard in LED manufacturing; since not all LEDs are designed the same, performance will vary with different dimmers. I like the fact that I can add several remotes to this without having to wire the house BUT @ 60$...
I like the fact that I can add several remotes to this without having to wire the house BUT @ 60$ this switch has no preset light level - the Pico remote that work with it does. They are very slow to react and you have to stop and hold the switch waiting for it to adjust. You will have to spend $100 to get the switch with the preset level button in the middle. Sad.

I needed a couple more of these switches to complete my downstairs. This is a little cheaper than the switch with the remote included . There are only two power wires and a neutral so installation is pretty easy. I'm not going to say that having connected lighting is needed but it's nice to have. I have certain lights come on in the morning when we all head out for school and work. If someone forgets to turn them off, there is a scene set to turn them off automatically. I use Apple Homekit so I also have voice control via Siri. It's pretty neat.

These are great smart devices. No hub needed just a good WiFi signal and you’re good to go.
The product support has not replied to my email I sent so hopefully they will soon.
The device did set up simply just as the 6 other devices we installed.

I love these dimmer switches. This is the fifth one I've had installed within the past 2 years. You can control them via the Lutron app on your phone (using the bridge, sold separately) or by manually adjusting them. Software is a breeze to get them set up. Just make sure you are using dimmable bulbs. Fantastic.

I like this switch but the one downside is that you cant set the dimmer to remain at a certain point so each time you turn on the light you have to dim to your liking.

Smell of burning wire from inside the switch
We have had these smart switches for more than a year. Since last week most of them don't work properly and smell smoke.

After 2 years all of my switches stopped working
I reset them and reinstalled them but it looks like all of my 11 of these Lutron Smart Dimmers have hardware problem. Something burned inside.

The review is for the shopping experience. I will stop shopping at Home Depot if I can’t actually see, touch and compare products. I’m not going to shop with my phone, scan QR codes and wait for someone to get the product out of a cage only to find out it’s the wrong one and have to go through all that hassle.

The Caseta PD-6WCL model dimmer is able to achieve multi-location control by wirelessly pairing to Pico remote controls, which are wireless and can mount overtop of an existing switch location using the PICO-WBX-ADAPT Pico wallplate adapter bracket.
