Love this system
I bought these primarily for exterior lighting for a duplex house. There are actually 10 separate exterior lights around the perimeter. I ended up buying a second hub to extend signal. I can easily toggle between the two hubs in the app. I set up dusk to dawn lighting at the brightness I chose. Tweaked some lights to turn off at bedtime. I'm so happy with this system, I'm planning to add more on indoor lights, and experiment with a Caseta fan switch plus one without the dimmer function.

I looked at number of brands - all seemed to lack something. I had given up until I stumbled on this. It was perfect, installed in minutes, and adaptable to my set up. I started with a 30yr farmhouse, 2 yrs ago added perimeter outdoor LED eave lights, on 2 switches opposites of house (not 2 way, but separate circuit, front and back). I wanted programmable with sundown/sun up, and control from either switch, or from just one in a third location. This did it all! (Photo shows back, on position.)

      Excellent Lighting Package!!
I recently purchased a house that had several Caseta switches already installed in every room and love them. I needed an option to control them so I purchased the hub kit. It works fantastic and provides an excellent option for my lighting needs. Very simple and easy to install and program. The remotes are a bonus and are handy if you want to carry around with you. Im 100% satisfied and happy with the purchase. Would recommend 100%

Excellent Product Bulk Pricing would be Awesome
Product is great. All components work with little effort. I did have a setup issue. Called Lutron customer support, they are great! I would like to see bulk packages for switches to reduce my cost. Less hubs, more switches. I would replace all in my house.

I used this switch to turn on our foyer chandelier and it works great! I used Philipps 5.5 LED BA11 and I had no issue dimming the lights, even though it's not listed on Lutron's website as a compatible light just yet. This switch and those LED lights worked together well. No flickering or strobe light effect. The wall switch fit okay (with some alterations/adjustment) with the rest of the switches on the new wall plate that I purchased. Making all the switches fit on the new 4-gang wall plate was the only hard part in this whole process for me. The app is decent, although I wasn't sure what the feature "Scene" is for as the instruction made no mention of it. I wish there was some kind follow up email from Lustro after the bridge self-registered. It should have automatically generated an email with instructions or or at least a link to instructions on how to work with the app. Otherwise, will just have to google it. For now, what matters is that it gives me what I need like the geofence - it will turn the outdoor lights on when I get within 1000 ft (minimum) of my house, and I also have it scheduled to turn on for 20 minutes when I'm leaving for work at midnight. The bridge seem to have a good signal as the switch is past 4 walls from it, at about 50 ft on the opposite corner of the house. The best thing about the bridge, is that it can pair up to 75 switches (who has that many switches anyway at $50/each? Okay?) The Pico remote has to be paired to the switch. It's independent of the bridge which is a good thing. Although it took me a couple of times to get it to work. Also, I wish it had its own holder that I can stick on the wall so that I don't have to permanently make it into a secondary switch in our upstairs hallway. One last thing, this switch only uses 3 wires: load (black for my case), live/hot (also black), and ground. I used a meter to test which is which, but for some, if removing from an old switch, the bottom black is live, and the top black is load. All-in-all, I think this upgrade is worth what I need it for.

This is not the first Lutron product we've purchased, however, it was the first one with the hub. We had been using Wink previously but didn't want to pay the monthly fee (they were switching to this model) so we decided to purchase the Lutron hub instead. We love Lutron products, easy to install, easy to use and works with Alexa so we can control things from across the room. We can tell her to turn on or off the the lights as well as dim them to a specific level. This particular kit is nice with the remote that can either be a standalone remote (like on a nightstand) or you can get the extra kit and mount it in a wall switch plate (in place of a light switch).

A pico remote can be used in 3 ways: As a standalone remote, replacing a second switch in a 3-way circuit or stick it to the wall. I used mine to replace an additional switch. Can not tell the difference between the wired switch and the pico remote once installed.

Simple installation and configuration. Works seamlessly with Google Home. Unlike most smart plugs and bulbs if your family turns off the switch rather than use your smart home interface the system does not lose the status of the lighting and is able to continue operating it.

Caseta Switches controlling lights by switches, smartphone app & remotes with scheduling. Bought on a daily e-mail sale. Easily installed as replacement switches for family and living room lights. Installed application on i-Phone and immediately started controlling lights, including dimming, from switches on wall and on smart phone app. Then purchased Amazon Echo Dot smart speakers for family and living rooms, set up to control Caseta switches. Now able to say in rooms "Alexia turn on family room to 50%" and lights come on to that level, or any requested level. Bought another Caseta wall switch to control outside front door lights. Programmed front door lights to come on at sunset at 35% and turn off at sunrise. Since that was so easily accomplished purchased another Caseta dimmer switch to do the same activity with lower deck light. Also purchased a Caseta plug-in lamp dimmer that plugs into wall outlet and has two outlets for controlling and dimming table lamps where there is no wall switch. Lamp dimmer also responds to smart phone app and to Echo Dot voice commands. Will add one more Caseta wall dimmer switch for light over kitchen breakfast nook that has been left on 24 x 7 with regular wall dimmer switch. Replacing with Caseta dimmer switch will enable time scheduling and voice command responses from Echo Dots. Warning - Caseta dimmer switches and plug-in lamp dimmers are contagious!

Easy to set up. Make sure you have a box deep enough for the switch. I personally didn’t cut a hole in the wall to mount the box for the remote. I just leave the remote on a coffee table. The app works well and allows you to create settings for your lights such as dimming it to your liking. I know there is more that the app can do but I haven’t used it much yet. Just installed it a few days ago.

I purchased this starter kit because I wanted my exterior lights to come on by themselves. Dusk to dawn sensors wouldn't work and my home doesn't have neutral wires. I didn't plan to get something this high tech but I really like it. I have an iPhone 8 Plus so I can use Siri to turn on the lights. Installation and getting everything set up was much easier that I thought. I'll probably get more switches to expand my Smart Home.

This systems is fantastic! It also control our drapes and window shades, as well as our house lights, Christmas tree, window candles, outdoor lights, etc. We control the system from our iPhone App as well as controllers. We have the App set to automatically turn on/off lights with sunset/sunrise, which adjusts automatically daily based on sunrise/set. You don't do anything your lights will come on, and drapes and shades close, at sunset. I love the setting for when I drive or walk away from the house designated house lights go off and come on upon return. When out of town we use the App to change things up back home. We have the system connected with our Apple TV also. If a wifi or power loss the system reconnects on it's own effortlessly! The reliability and easy of use is superb.

                Smart Home Made Simple!
The Lutron Caseta dimmer kit is a great way to get started with making your home smart. This kit includes the dimmer switch, a remote control that can be used as a handheld remote, or with the purchase of a wall mount, be used as a second switch that you can mount anywhere. This can come in very handy if you have the dimmer connected in a room with 2 entrances, you can have the wired switch on one side and the remote on the other without having to run any wires. Also included with the kit is the Smart Bridge, this is the brains of the system, it connects to your home network via a wired connection and allows all of your smart switches to be controlled by the mobile app, allowing them to work together to create different scenes at the touch of a button. Setup was a breeze, in this case, I was actually replacing an existing Lutron (non-smart) dimmer switch, but essentially, you just use the supplied wire nuts to connect the dimmer wires to the wires in your box, screw it in, and attach the cover, that's it. The Smart Bridge is installed by simply plugging it in your router with the supplied cable and pairing to your phone via the Lutron app, once paired, you can connect any existing dimmers and switches that you have installed. Mine was up and running within 10 minutes, no hassle at all. I really like the fact that I can control my lights from anywhere, right now I only have the dimmer that came with the kit, but my plan is to continue to add more switches/dimmers to the rest of my lights to allow me complete control of my home lighting from the app. With the app, you can setup different scenes that you can select the lights and brightness that you want for any situation that can be activated with a single button, or in my case since I have an iPhone, by using Siri. I also have an Amazon Echo that I was able to sync with the system, so I can turn on/off lights and scenes by simply telling the Echo to do it. Very cool feature since I don't always have my phone with me inside my house, but the Echo is always in the same spot in my kitchen. The only negative that I have is that these dimmers and switches are very expensive, but with any technology, you have to expect that. Aside from that, I'm very happy with this system.

The best Smart Lighting product, bar none
I've tested just about every Smart Home lighting product on the market, and Lutron's Caseta is simply the best overall option for lighting automation you can find. I paired this with my Wink Hub in a three-way setup to control staircase lights, and it works perfectly. Why is this the best? It deserves some explanation. First, it's extremely easy to install for a number of reasons: 1. Very compact switch can fit in nearly any gangbox, which is most definitely not true of competing Smart Home switches 2. No neutral wire required, unlike competitors 3. All wire nuts and mounting hardware included (except for wall plate adapter for Pico Remote) 4. Excellent instructions (although manual for 3-way setup must be downloaded from Lutron website) And once it's installed, it works brilliantly. The dimmer is smooth and easy to use, the Pico Remote adds lots of utility, including the ability to control lights from the couch or bed, or alternatively to use as a "three-way" controller, and both the dimmer and pico remote pair easily with the Wink Hub. And for multi-bulb installations, it's so much better than using individual "connected" bulbs or outlets, because you can always control the lights manually right from the wall, and in some cases it's also much cheaper. For example, in a typical kitchen with 10 BR30 bulbs, you can use 10 standard dimmable bulbs of any type (which the kitchen probably already has), and just use Caseta to automate them. Now I do have two issues with this package: (1) the Caseta Wireless Pico Wall Plate Bracket (Model # PICO-WBX-ADAPT) is expensive ($7) and should be included to make this a truly complete package. (2) the Caseta Bridge, which adds $40 to the standard Caseta switch and remote package (but costs $80 on its own) is only a good value if you don't plan on adding a lot of home automation products. It actually offers compatibility with a growing number of third-party options, including thermostats, but it will likely never be given the ability to control competing lighting products, and it's more expensive than some hubs that work with all brands (like Wink, which Caseta switches are certified to work directly with). If you are serious about Smart Home tech, skip this particular package, pick up a universal hub from Wink or SmartThings, and equip as many of your lights as possible with Lutron's awesome Caseta dimmer (Model # P-PKG1W-WH-R)!

Will Definitely Get More of These
There are numerous options when it comes to connected lighting. While I have two other lighting solutions, this Caseta Wireless Dimmer with Smart Bridge best fits a certain need that the other two simply don't for me. This kit is actually two products. I received the Smart Bridge and an In-wall Dimmer with a Pico Remote. Total setup took about 12 minutes. The dimmer only took me five minutes. Surprisingly, it does not require a neutral wire yet it works well with my LED bulbs. Connecting the Smart Bridge only took minutes as well but the bridge had to update to the latest firmware. From that point, I downloaded the app, set up an account, connected to the bridge, then added the dimmer through the app. I plan to add more Caseta dimmers. I have a couple of WiFi switches and some of the popular color changing lights but Caseta Wireless is the best option for my dining room, kitchen, breakfast area, and pendant lights. I don't want color changing lights in those areas, I need dimming, plus I need control at the wall switch in addition to it being connected. I like that the dimmer replaces the wall switch. It gives a clean look and doesn't look like an add-on item. Also since the dimmer uses a Decora wall cover it will fit in a multi gang box without issue. This Caseta Dimmer looks very nice especially with the screw-less plate but the performance is even better. There is virtually no delay when controlling from the app. As far as the app is concerned, Lutron did a great job making sure the app was just as good as the product. Of course you can dim but there is geofencing, you can set timers, make scenes with other dimmers, etc. The app has widgets and notifications. It's simply a solid app. I can't end this review with mentioning Homekit. My wife and two teens have iPhones. I have an Android phone. I used my daughters iPhone 6 to test the lights with Siri. It's pretty awesome to control lights with just voice commands. If you are considering jumping into the whole smart home thing, this Caseta Wireless Dimmer and Smart Bridge is an excellent place to start.

Smart Lutron Caseta Wireless Dimmer Kit
FYI, this kit is the same as the P-BDG-PKG2W kit but only comes with 1 wall dimmer switch and 1 remote. If you need 2 wall switches and prefer 2 remotes, then I would get the "PKG2W" kit instead. Welcome to the 21 century! This is an amazing dimmer kit which is geared for everyone; tech geeks, light control freaks, the lazy and disabled people in mind. The provided features are great and all seem to work well. The built quality is good and the packaging is well designed. Lutron got it all right! I do think it’s a bit overpriced, but it is a premium product. Perhaps when the smart home devices become more popular and wide spread, the price will drop. For those who are willing to pay the price tag – get it! THE SET-UP was super easy. First, cut off the power (circuit breaker) to the wall switch you will be replacing. When power is off, remove the old wall switch. Remove the new Caseta Dimmer from package. Install it in place of the old one. Then turn the power back on. That’s it! Read the quick-start guide for installation tips, max wattage, wall plate and bulb types / compatibility and troubleshooting. WIRELESS: Download the Lutron Caseta app, log-in, and follow the on-screen instructions to connect the dimmer switches and remotes to the wireless Smart Bridge (connect it to your router and a power source via included accessories). After the Wireless set-up is done, you are able to fully control your dimmers via the app. OPERATION: There are four buttons on the wall dimmer switch and five on the remote. On the wall dimmer; the top button is ON and the bottom is OFF. In between them, the two buttons do the opposite, the left one makes the lights brighter while the right one dims them. Same set up on the Pico remotes except for one round button in the center which is for the “favorite” setting. Also, the wall dimmer has a small flat pull-out tab under the OFF button that completely disables the switch. It is to prevent any shorts when you need to replace light bulbs or clean the light fixture. It’s called the FASS – Front Accessible Service Switch. Also, the wall switch has small LEDs indicating the light intensity. They light up from the bottom to the top. When you press the ON button the lights go on full brightness. When you press the OFF button the lights dim and turn off. If you press the UP button the lights turn on but on the dimmest setting, then you can increase the brightness more to your liking. THE APP: is well designed and is compatible with the Apple Watch and Home Kit. It allows you to fully control various wireless devices such as different light fixtures (on, off & dim), powered shades and thermostats. You can set up power schedules based on time, your location and sunrise / sunset – pretty clever. You can also set up Geofencing for the app to know where you are and control your lights or notify you if you forgot to turn them off after you left your home. The app has four different themes for color preference as well as a setting called Scenes. Scenes allows you to select multiple devices and your favorite setting for them so you can adjust them all at once. For example, name a Scene “Bed Time” and program it to have the power shades close and the lights turn off together. There is also Siri Integration for certain controls. Overall a 5-STAR product! Every product has room for improvement, this one was designed well from the start. The tech savvy will love it and disabled people will find it very useful being able to control the lights and shades from without getting up. Perhaps it will even save lives by preventing the elderly to have-to get up to turn the lights off and walk back to bed in the dark. Great job Lutron!

Great remote controlled Dimmer for Incandescent, LED and CFL bulbs
The Caseta Dimmer is awesome. You can control it with the wall switch, the remote control or even your smartphone via the SmartBridge. If you own mostly Apple devices such as iPhones and iPads the SmartBridge I think is a must have to work with HomeWorks. If however you use android smartphones and tablets I think you're better off skipping the SmartBridge. The Android app works fine but there are other home automation hubs out there that are compatible with more devices. Right now the SmartHub only seems to control the Caseta switches and dimmers, motorized Serena Shades and Honeywell and Nest thermostats. I got the Caseta Dimmer to replace a Lutron Maestro Dimmer with remote that controls some recessed ceiling lights in my home theater. When I first installed the Maestro, LED bulbs were very expensive. Now LED bulbs are more affordable and I have switched out thos bulbs with LEDs. The Maestro had issues with LEDs but the new Caseta Dimmer is made to work with incandescant, halogen, CFL and LED bulbs. The Maestro couldn't dim the bulbs low enough for movie watching and I needed to keep on incandescent bulb or one of the LEDs would stay on slightly. Now with all LEDs in the cans the Caseta controlls them perfectly. Right out of the box the LEDs didn't dim sufficiently but you can adjust how far the LEDs dim with a simple procedure. It's not in the manual but you can find it in the instructional video. Simply press and hold the On button along with the dim button on the wall switch at the same time until the LEDs on the switch start to blink. Then use the dim/brighten buttons on the switch to set the lowest your lights can dim properly. Then press and hold the off button until the LED blinks to save the setting. After doing that my LEDs dim to an acceptable level. I am using the Philips SlimStyle LED bulbs and they were able to dim as far down as the dimmer would go without any problems. The dimmer only requires the 2 switch wires (plus ground) to operate. It doesn't need a neutral white wire which makes it easy to replace with any 1-way switch. There were some other differences between the Caseta and the Maestro. When you turn the lights on or off with either, they don't come on right away. Instead they dim up or off which is nice effect. On the Maestro, the lights dimmed up slower than on the new Caseta, which I like because generally when you turn on the lights you want them to come on quickly. When they turn off, they both dim about the same, giving you a few seconds to get into bed or out of the room before the lights are complately off. With the Caseta, when you turn on the lights they turn on to full power. With the Maestro the lights would turn on to the last setting used. Both have their uses but I personally prefer the way Caseta does it. The dimmers also feature a slide out switch on the bottom that cuts off power to the dimmer to make changing light bulbs safer. You need to reach underneath it with a fingernail. Both feature a wireless remote control that include on, off, up, down and a favorite button that lets you set a preffered lighting level that you can quickly access with the remote. You can keep the remote on a table near your sofa like I do so I can control the lights while watching TV or you can mount it on the wall in an electric box or low voltage ring. Wall mounting is a great way to be able to control a light from 2 (or more) locations without having to pay an electrician to rewire the light for 2 3-way switches. The wall mounted remote looks just like the Caseta dimmer except it also has a favorite button. In addition to the remote, you can use the Lutron App on your smartphone or tablet for even more versatility if you have the Lutron SmartBridge which is included in this package. You can create scenes which include one or more Caseta controlled lights or other devices. You can for example have a dinner party scene where your dining room chandelier comes on at 30% power, wall sconces at 20%, recessed ceiling lights in the adjoining living room off while table lamps in that room are on at 15% all with the press of a button on your smart phone. If you have Serena motorized shades, a Honeywell or Nest WiFi thermostat you can include those in your scene so it raises or lowers the shades to the desired level and sets an appropriate temperature. You can even have scenes come on or off automatically like having all your lights exterior lights come on at night and turn off in the morning or have all your interior lights come on when you get home from work. The app is easy to use but I did run into a couple of issues with scheduling scenes on the android app. When creating a scene and adding a light it wouldn't let me set the light level of the dimmer. If I cancelled out and went back into the scene I was able to set the light level. This was just a test scene and when I went to delete it, it wouldn't let me. If you use Apple devices I believe you need the SmartBridge to be able to use the Caseta Dimmers and switches with Homeworks. The shiny white surface of the SmartBridge should look right at home next to your other iDoohikeys. It even has a nice white ring of light around it and the network link light is also white. Personally, I use a variety of operating systems on my computers and android for my mobile devices. My SmartBridge is installed in a section of my utility room where I have all my networking equipment. It's not on an end table in my living room where it matters what it looks like. The SmartBridge doesn't have those little keyholes in the base that allow you to wall mount it. Would have been nice if it did but it's small and lite enough that some adhesive hook and loop fasteners should hold it. If you're not using Apple Homeworks and have Android devices instead I think you're better off without the SmartBridge. The SmartBridge is currently very limited in the number of devices it can communicate with. Right now it's only Caseta switches and dimmers (both in-wall and plug-in), Serena Shades and certain Honeywell and Nest WiFi thermostats. There are other home automation controllers available that can control more devices in addition to the ones that SmartBridge can. Home Depot sells one that is very popular. You just need to pair the dimmer and remote to it. There's nothing wrong with the SmartBridge, other than the issue with scheduled scenes in the android app which I assume will eventually get fixed. It's just that with so many different wireless controlled devices on the market now, why waste electricity, network ports and space when you can have one controller do the same and more. The dimmer and remote themselves are great and you can use a variety of light bulbs with it including incandescent, LEDs and CFL bulbs or a combination of all of them on the same dimmer. The SmartBridge, while very nice, is limited in what it can control. If you're using Apple Homeworks I think you need it. If you're using android based devices I believe you're better off with a different home automation HUB that supports more protocols.

All you need to start home automation
With this kit you receive a caseta dimmer switch, pico switch and wireless bridge. The wall switch is easy to install. It took about 3 minutes. The switch itself has 4 buttons, on, off, dimmer up and down. Sadly the Lutron wall switch doesn't have a favorite memory so you can turn on the light to the previous level. The buttons are also a little loose, and don't have a satisfying push response when used. The pico remote is a small 5 button switch that remotely (without wires) can control the switch. It is about as wide as a quarter, and as long as the width of a dollar bill. It sits nicly on a table but can also be put on the wall. This remote is great, I used this kit for the master bedroom and keep the remote on the bedside table. It also has a favorite button unlike the wall switch. The caseta wireless controller was difficult to setup, it took a few unplug / replug ins but once registered and updated, it works well. I can now turn on/off my lights from anywhere. Also of note is the app since you need it to control the system wirelessly. The app is slow sometimes and setup is painful. I have had to reset the app once. I am hoping the password is saved as I am getting tired of putting in my username and password.

                Powerful, well-designed, and expensive!
This is the third automated lighting product I've tried, and overall I'd say it's the best. But it's also the most expensive, and depending on your particular needs, it may not be the right solution for you. Here's what I really liked about this kit: (1) the package was extremely attractive and well labeled (2) while it does require installing light switches in the wall, these were by far the easiest I've installed, because the switches are pre-wired, so you just use the included wire nuts to connect the switch to existing wiring. Note that you DO need a ground wire, which isn't present in many older homes (the instructions note that you can install it without a ground wire if you use non-metal screws, which aren't included, and follow a few other precautions). Also note that as with all modern switches, these are very wide, and BARELY fit in my 1960s-era wall box. (3) the well-designed app is available for both iPhone and Android (although strangely it said nothing about Android on the box) (4) setting up the app was the most painless of all automated systems I've used - no silly disconnects, weird reboots or other related nonsense - it just worked the first time (although it did take several minutes in between steps to confirm completion). (5) once it's installed, you can associate the included remotes with the switches and program the switches as well. Here's what I didn't like that much about the kit: (1) the price is incredibly high, perhaps because of the Apple HomeKit branding involved with this system. Just the control box is over $100 on its own, and other systems I've used include a control box and multiple lights for less money. (2) the setup for automated lights doesn't have as many customization options as other systems I've seen, and you have to separately program the on and off times for a light as separate "scenes", which is not intuitive at all. (3) the switches are only supposed to be used with wall- or ceiling-mounted lights - switched outlets aren't safe according to the instructions, so floor/table lamps shouldn't be controlled with this kit. (4) while Caseta can control standard halogens and incandescents, the LEDs must be dimmable, so check your bulbs first! (5) the wall switch is a bit busy with controls, meaning hitting the on/off without looking is a real challenge - a textured surface for on and off would really help! Overall, I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who: (a) wants an automated lighting system that can also be controlled via a hand-held remote (a far more elegant solution than pulling out your smartphone when guests are around) (b) someone who wants to take advantage of Lutron window shades, Apple Homekit integration, Nest/Honeywell thermostats, or Logitech Harmony remote controls. Basically, this is a great system, but if all you want is to set up an automated light system, this kit is far too expensive, as you're better off buying WiFi-enabled bulbs.

Super Smart Lutron Caseta Wireless Dimmer Kit
WOW, welcome to the 21 century! INSTALLATION: The set-up was simple. Same set up on the Pico remotes except for one round button in the center which is for the "favorite" setting. For example, name a Scene "Bed Time" and program it to have the power shades close and the lights turn off together.

                Love this Automation Product
We simply LOVE this product. It has made managing my electricity consumption so much easier. The product arrived within days of ordering and was in perfect condition. Instillation was very easy. Just follow the directions and make sure to disconnect your power before proceeding. All you have to do is replace the existing wall switch and connect 3 wires. Hooking up the wireless smart bridge was just as easy as plugging into an outlet and connecting to the router. The app for your phone is VERY easy to use and made it VERY easy to setup my account. We love how we get reminders on our phone if we leave the house and a light is left on. The remotes are very convenient to use, and make bedtime so much easier. This product has made coming home at night so much easier because we can light the house before we even arrive. We plan on replacing all of our switches with these devices.
