Somewhere along the way, this product has been improved. The adhesive backing now has a reinforcing mesh embedded in it, making it much stronger.

If you don't get it laid just right the first time and have to shift it a little, it loses all ability to adhere. Once on, if you brush it just the wrong way, it loses all ability to adhere. Threw away half of what I'd done within a week and started over. Maybe if you never open the window?

Overall OK for the price. The foam does not have much resistance to compression. Drop shipped from the manufacturer; delivery in about 1 week. Customer Service is N/A to this order.

I had to repair my clothes dryer. Wouldn't turn freely. Replaced the tensioner pully and belt and cleaned the drum roller wheels and their shafts with mineral spirits/paint thinner (don't oil or grease them). Deep cleaned the dryer inside, duct, and outside vent. When I took the blower assembly off and apart, I saw that the foam gasket had dry rotted. I needed the 1/4" open cell foam tape but couldn't find it in the open cell. This 1/2" (it's really 3/8" on the bag) was close enough and worked fine. Cleaned the old foam off and applied this new tape. It's like new now! Reassembled and the dryer is working like a new champ!

I like this open cell foam as it can easily close gaps in an uneven setting as it compresses so easily

If what you need is a highly compressible open cell foam weatherstrip than this is a great product. Great for gaps where windows or doors don’t close fully tight but air infiltration is not a problem. I used this at a couple locations where screens don’t fit tightly, but I wanted to keep mosquitos out, and another spot at a root cellar door to keep spiders and bugs out. Great product at a great price.

This was just what I needed to replace the old foam on my window inserts. Great price and easy to use.

Item arrived on time and was as described, however the item is also sold at the store and I could have just gone there and get it the same day, so for that, I am not giving 5 stars cause it was a waste of time.

I used this to seal recessed lighting trim because the light was shining through small space between ceiling and trim. Did not find the correct width, but I used a double row which worked well.

After trying several different types of insulation - foam, felt, rubber, a gum like substance, etc. for over 2 years , this one fits our needs.Wish we found you sooner.

The only drawback is the flimsy paper backing that tends to delaminate while being removed.

Consistent foam, good adhesion. Used for solid wood door which has an uneven gap. Low density foam lets latch engage without fighting too much resistance. Only wish it was stocked in the store instead of being a special order.

Neat stuff!Low density foam seals better, since it can fit into irregularities in the mating surfaces. This stuff fills the bill exactly. It fits evenly into the little void between the sliding glass door and the door-frame without pulling out when the door is opened. The living room has never been so evenly heated.

Used it to replace the edge on a pet for panel. This was our third attempt. The first ones we got in store were not low density . This one is great, it squishes enough to make up for the not perfectly even sidings door against the pet panel. No more air gaps. Do have to give a little push to get it to squish.
