We got this purifier to take tobacco smoke / odor out of main house emanating from master bedroom. It's done a fantastic job, just running on #3 / 1600 setting (medium) for a few hours per day. We've yet to use the Ozone/purify setting yet, because you have to vacate the house to do so, and we have pets and it's a bit of a hassle. Only had this three weeks, but so far, we love it. Very happy with purchase, as is my brother, the non-smoker!! :) And that makes me happy!! PS: Also fits in with our decor. Looks like a small stereo speaker.

Reconditioning a smoker apartment, (7 years of smoking) After washing walls and ceilings three times the apartment still had a slight odor of cigarettes. Placed the Mountainaire in the apartment for the weekend and on Monday the odor was gone. Primed the walls and painted, the apartment has a new car smell. We are using this unit the day before new move ins and all odors are gone. If you rent apartments you will love this machine. Please understand this is NOT a replacement for cleaning. You must do proper cleaning to get the most out of this machine.

Too complicated to set up!

I was out of town for five days and it didn't make a dent in the smoke smell.

Excellent air filter. Easy to clean, not too loud on lower settings and even the high settings are quieter than a couple other filters we’ve tried. We looked for quite a while trying to find one powerful enough to handle our remodeling project mess & were very happy with this.

I haven't had it too long so it is hard to rate. It was delivered on time with good but not excessive packaging. It works and the little bit of assembly was easy.

Based on size and auto fan speed it would be impossible for this product to purify the size space it is rated for. My main issue is it produced more smell in my house then without it. I got it to purify and reduce smell not introduce a new smell. Even after 10hr of continuous running the smell was horrid. Returning this weekend.

Seems to work as advertised.

I purchased two of these units recently. Quality construction and design. Plug and play with ease. Operational noise levels are lower then anticipated.

This unit quickly cleared out the musty basement smell and continues to keep it clear. I bought a second one for upstairs!

We were surprised at the size of this unit is so small if it was going to do the job for us in our 2000 sq ft home. But to our surprise, this has outperformed any that we have had in the past and we recommend this to anyone. When you use the ozone setting on the unit it cleans the air quickly.

Bought this unit for use in a 750 sq ft basement. It has been in use it for less than a month and so far so good. Air has a consistent fresh and clean smell. Very quite and very small compared to my old air purifier. Big improvement.

Absolutely. Their customer service dept out of this world! Home Depot discontinued this item and I totally do not understand why. Great item and great company to do business with.

I did not understand the danger of this machine at purchase, being you can't be near it or even in the same room on certain settings. I think this need's to be clarified.

Easy setup. Don’t know how well it works yet, but with three filters and an ozone generator it should do great.

As a landlord I wanted to remove pets smells that was still present after we removed almost new carpet and the pad and the tile under pad. It made it smell better for 48 or so hours then it went back to pet odor. Same with the house that had "old man" smell. Same with the house that had a musty

I like the fact that it has several filters. The UV light is what really sold me and I'm glad we bought it.

this purifier is a lot smarter than I am. within a week there was a noticeable difference. I would urge the buyer to review the details of use. Also, the manufacturer is quick to respond to questions.

Amazing little powerhouse! Someone in the upstairs apartment smokes and stinks up my whole apartment. The ozone generator does an amazing job at neutralizing all odors. Very pleased! This air purifier does a better job and covers 4 times the area than the one I used to own...literally 8 times the size of this one! Customer service and the company in general is what all companies in this country should aspire to be. Go for it...No disappointments here!

The ozone filter is a bit scary. You are supposed to only run it when the house is empty. The 1st time I did I had some fresh flowers in the house that looked like they'd had a rough time of it and most the water in the vase was dried up. It also leaves a strange odor behind. But after running the air filter for 10-15 minutes it;s gone. Other than that, it works great and seems to help bring the humidity down, helping with cooling in the house.

Works great. I really like the unit. The overall size and shape make this unit easy to stash out of sight. I wouldn't exactly call it portable. It needs a handle. It is small enough to carry and move. But awkward. A handle would be nice.

Great product . Performed well but the remote control abruptly stopped working and had to operate manually. Even with battery replaced, still non operational but customer service was excellent and will send a replacement remote ASAP. That more than made up for the inconvenience.. The unit itself works great !! Would still recommend for others to buy. Perhaps the remote was an isolated case. we will see. rating of 4 stars due to remote malfunction.
