the Moen 3/4hp replaced an old 1hp disposal. installation was straightforward, and it works well. Definitely saves space in the cabinet. I was surprised to discover it is actually louder than the 1hp it replaced, but the sound is within tolerable range. FedEx delivery was poor. the delivery person was rude, and verbally inappropriate. He threw the packaged connector at my door as I was opening it, nearly hitting me in the leg. I wish Home Depot could contract with another delivery business. I am unable to go to the store.

Nice and quiet
The garbage disposal is wonderful. My only complaint is that the lights are powered by 4 batteries and the sensor is on the far left of the unit so I’d have to waive my hand in front of the sensor to turn the light on. So. I just removed the batteries and will not have a light under the sink. I didn’t buy the unit because it had lights.

I had to cancel. the online order and pick up this disposer at the store for a higher price because of scheduling with the installer! Disposer is fine but I didn't appreciate the higher price.

Sewer smell
I was shocked to smell sewage when I opened my sink cabinet and apparently the smell is coming from this disposal which is such a shame because otherwise it works wonderfully.

For the EXL100C EX Series 1 Horsepower Lighted Garbage Disposal to drain properly, the drain pipe must have downward pitch. 1/4" per foot is recommended. It is louder than I expected from the description, and the intake sink gasket is very tight so you have to push everything through.

This dead a year and half after purchasing, we thought a Moen would be good. Nope now we have a buy a new garbage disposal!

I am disappointed in this garbage disposal because water & garbage do not drain as you rinse dishes. You must turn disposal on for suction & then garbage must be pushed down into drain. I have never had a disposal like this. During Thanksgiving the sink was half filled with water & garbage so had to stop rinsing to clear sink. So frustrating. I have had disposal for a month. It was easy to install.
Never had disposal work like this. It is also noisy. During Thanksgiving I had sink half full with water & garbage. Not acceptable. It was easy installation. I have it a month.

Noisy, rusting
Replacing a 20+ year old well known brand I opted for Moen based on their faucet reputation. Unit was a bit diificult to install on the latching ring. The wife found it to be noisy. A petroleum based odar appeared at 2 weeks after only 3 uses. Peering inside with a small light revealed the rivets holding the stainless steel cutters were plated with the plating already peeling off and rusting. Out it came and back it went. Replaced with the well known industry leader. Much easier install with thicker mounting hardware to the sink. No issues with the latching. Stick to Faucets Moen. leave the disposals ISR ( abberviated)

Super loud!!
This disposal is really loud and the part where the food goes down is a really bad design as it will not let any food pass through. You will have to either use your fingers or an object to push the food through. I definitely do not recommend this disposal.

Replaced our previous disposal since it had an internal crack and was leaking. It was already beginning to get seized, etc so it was due. This was easy to install and it so strong and quiet! I does get finicky when draining anything moderately sized but nothing a little tap doesn’t help to keep from the water flow best for the product

Get a better one
I replaced a 1/2 hp In Sinkerator with this Moen thinking it would be a better disposal and it has a disappointing performance. I would return it if it was easy to remove and install another but I'm stuck with it. I won't buy a Moen again.
